Did I accidentally hit the repeat button or is their whole discography the same fucking song?

I know what you mean user, I really don't get the appeal.

nah, you're probably just stupid enough to confuse the guitar tone as some sort of over arching reptition.

Are Smiths fans so desperate they resort to pointing out hyperbole??

This just isn't true
Wtf?

How Soon Is Now is kinda different

Listen to Golden Lights.

listen to that song about traps

this. Low IQ detected

Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others is arpeggios instead of jangle chords. I agree for the most of it, and like 99% of records labeled "indie", it confounds me how something so simple and boring becomes one of the GOAT albums.

Asleep is the only good song from The Smiths

I wish Perks of Being a Wallflower never existed.

I never got the hype either.

What is really mystifying are the people that say this band is better than The Cure.

Comparing a one trick pony band like The Smiths with The Cure, who changed their sound multiple times over the course of their career and made iconic records, come on.

Name me a Cure album that is fully listenable front to back, and doesn't have the issue of too many songs being too long (so Disintegration is out of the question).

So you have a short attention span.
>(so Disintegration is out of the question).
It's one of the best albums ever made, lol, go back to playing with your fidget spinner kiddo.

Hell, The Cure were even better at making jangle pop than The Smiths.

The only album I can think of that comes close is Head on the Door, but even that has its share of skippable tracks.

what's so bad about the movie?

I can't think of a single Smiths album that I have ever liked, and I've enjoyed Pornography, Faith, Disintegration front to back several times.

It created a bunch of people who claim they love The Smiths because they just like Asleep, which was in that movie.

It's the only good song from them though.

What is this hot new meme

Most of their discography

>The Cure literally has albums where all tracks sound the same
>It's alright tho cause they changed their sound once in their whole career

Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography.

and Joy Division too

The Smiths are the shittiest parts of The Cure and The Fall rolled in to one terrible band

Listen to Strangeways Here We Come and come back. It's the one album where the band made an organized effort to do something different (and succeeded, in my opinion).
