Movie begins with a quote

>movie begins with a quote

>meme arrows

>family of blacks walk into the theater

>movie starts with a quote
>writer or director either has zero understanding of the quote or the subject matter, and the quote has zero relationship to the movie

hurt locker is a great example of this

>Movie ends with a quote

>based on true events

>Its a Nietzsche quote

>It's a Sun Tzu quote

>Movie ends with a "what happened next" text

What a fat-ass.

>Don't misunderestimate me
>-George Bush
I actually can't remember what movie this was from. I thought it was Step Brothers but I can't find anything about it on Google.

>fire exit bursts open

It's the tagline for the movie "W." starring Josh Brolin

This is what solidified Apocalypto as a terrible movie

The Abyss too.

Oh shit thanks. Maybe it was at the beginning of a trailer that played before Step Brothers? I'm not really sure.

>movie has subtitles

>walk into theater
>90% of audience is black

>movie begins with a long useless narrative explaining a history that doesn't connect to anything else

Refresh my memory?

Is he sitting down or getting up?

this happened to me during avpRequiem, except it was 98%

anyways
>movie begins at the end and jumps back to the 'present'

>Horror movie
>70% of the audience are spics
>They talk swear in spanish when they get scared
Minorities are hilarious

>movie begins with a long ass text scroll
>it's narrated

...

Is he the only man with an advancing hairline that's gotten darker?

>movie has narration

this

*record scratch*
*freeze frame*

Pleb.

>"only the dead have seen the end of war"

Fuck off.

The only movie I can think of in recent memory to do this was Wolf of Wall Street.

Find a worse example.

>Movie opens with High school kids socializing

He's the only man who would attempt to lie about his hairplugs and rogaine baths.

>game set in a fantasy universe
>starts with a quote from a famous historical person

Way to take people out of the movie before it even began.,

That was the entire point of the movie. It's the cited source that's stupid. The Abyss was a much worse example.

Has that actually happened?

>muver opens
>normal scene
>turns horrible
>character wakes up in bed breathung hard, sitting up sweating

The movie is literally about intelligent life forms living in an abyss watching humanity. What's wrong with it?

is it a game or a movie

Yes. Can't for the life of me remember the movie though.

>Sit in second from last row to get seats in the center
>Back row fills with nigs and high school students

>movie has strong black men in it

>game

How is the joke here hard for you to figure out

>game

Yes. Video games have made just about every dramatic mistake possible.

kik

it's pretentious

Oh wow. Didn't even notice that. My bad. Meant movie.

>not liking goodfellas

>movie has a plot

>action movie/sci-fi/war movie
>protagonist is female

>Asian female
>she has dyed hair and knows martial arts and how to hack

>movie starts with "yeah, that's me"
>has a quote for every other scene
>it ain't me starts playing halfway through the movie

Yeah this was terrible but I still enjoyed watching it. At least there was no diversity casting

Not just that, the Jim Cam shortens the full quote, misappropriates it for his movie, loses its meaning (which he could have worked in that movie but didn't) in the process it stops making sense except for the most simplistic of readings (you look at abyss, aliens in there look at you hurr durr).

He just slaps half of the quote in there and calls it a day.

>Movie begins with a sex scene

>movie begins with no dialogue for an extended period of time

This is completely acceptable though, like 2001

>movie begins with song lyrics written on the screen

>have to sit through a bunch of stupid company logos and their gay ass jingles before the actual movie begins

Nearly every anime movie ever does this, it's infuriating because there's usually about 9 different companies

>quote from a book
>that a character made
>it's never mentioned in the movie that they wrote a book except for this quote

>Movie ends with a first person PoV

>movie ends in a freeze-frame of the main character smiling

Looking at you 80's cinema

>Movie quotes Shakespeare

Black hawk down too.

>main character dies from the start, narrates the whole movie

>cliff-FUCKING-hanger

Only one I can think of like this is Enter The Void

>character returns from the dead to deliver the final blow
>audience cheers

American Beauty, Grave of the Fireflies.

hardcore henry is the exception

What bad movies do this?
Only film I can think of is American History X and that's legit kino.

>Holiday themed music playing at the beginning
>Movie opens with footage of life before the death of a loved one
>Happy go lucky music playing while school children play in the school yard

>get shot

>flick is set in America

that was it for Conjuring 2.
>inb4 shit taste
GF has shit taste but anyways
they proceeded to fucking scream and talk for 5 minutes everytime something happened on screen, until one of the guys stood up to tell them to stop, and they laughed at this face.
Not even responding or anything, simply laughed at that poor guy.
I screamed "SHUT THE FUCK UP" at the top of my lungs from across the theater, and a security guy came in for the rest of the movie
>it was a really shit movie and this was the only thing interesting that happened

>I screamed "SHUT THE FUCK UP" at the top of my lungs from across the theater
sure you did, buddy

>Starts a thread with greentext while complaining about movies that start with quotes

well In fact I screamed "TA GUEULE" so you're right

I knew I recognised that bucket of popcorn.

>the movie starts with a greentext

if you're going to lie about yourself, at least pretend to be something else than canadian

Yeah, it's a well known fact that the french talk canadian

>"when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back"

Bravo GURM

I love the Asian women are superhuman meme because it's so far fetched. I have yet to meet one in real life that wasn't absolutely useless at everything.

>ehhhh, what's up? Doc

>when you drink monster energy drinks, you become a monster.

>*record scratch*
>*freeze frame*
>So, I bet you're wondering how I got here

>that gif

>Full credits at the beginning AND end of movie

what movie?

...

>great action movie so far, cinematography, story, etc. fuck yeah for a change
>new action scene middle of movie
>shaky camera, guns and swords everywhere, blood and shit, fuck yes!
>film dramatically slows down as main character sticks sword in enemy or beheads enemy
>ahh, fuck. This shit again
>action movie ruined
