Hey Sup Forums, /fit/ here
I'm just curious but how much can you guys bench?

125

We are too busy looking at trap porn and banana threads to work out

probably around 140

100
working on it tho

205 for a couple of good sets.

280

hit 130x5 the other day

3x8 155 for now, or 5x8 135.

135 gonna try for a 140 tomorrow

405 on bench 560 on deadlift and 500 flat on squat but I've been lifting for six years straight no breaks. Plus two hernias and one mesh. Bodyweight bounces from 180 to 200

is benching a good way to get rid of man boobs?

140

>le meme lift
do you even squat op?

225 6x5 bench, just got to 4 plates and it feels really good.

270 for max. But i can do 225 for reps

50lb dumbbells

i need to buy more weight but that's $$

one rep Max?
350
im more cardio though marathon on 35mins

yes and no

Yes being that if you do bench press and other type of exercises you will lose your tits and No being that you can't just bench to lose them, you can't isolate weight loss.

Op here, lose fat if you want to get rid of man boobs

225 one rep max

185 6 rep max

>tfw 1pl8
But I'm working on it.
>tfw squat is over 2pl8 and still nowhere near a 1RM
Joys of having been a fat fuck before I decided to improve myself.

85 lbs

300 bench 450 squad 450 dead

I built a home gym just this last weekend, and my max bench is literally the bar with no weight on it. I got one of the olympic bars and that thing's heavy as shit.

But I figure six months from now I'll be doing okay.

I don't even know how to "bench" tbh

I've been lifting for a little bit over a year now. I'm really tall and naturally skinny so bench is harder for me but I finish my flat bench with 6 reps at 225 lately

pic related

225x10 per set

olympic bars are nice
props for not using a puss bar

Those r some weird lookin pants buddy

They're silk pajamas. But they have a bunch of cig burns in them from when I was a junkie.

I did about two weeks of reseach before I built the gym. Every guide said to get an olympic bar to put on the half rack, so I did.

I can't bench at all. I got to around 130 but my shoulder is messed up from scoliosis. Had to quit. Now I just do cardio and sports. Maybe I should start lifting again.

260. Been lifting for 3 years, but seriously for 2.

Current 5RM:
ohp: 150
bench: 275
squat: 365
dl:420

>when I was a junkie
keep looking to the future friend.

This is where I used to be before I got too busy to lift. Funny thing was that weight was still climbing by the day. My life is getting more manageable lately so I'll be getting back into it again. Here's to 300 and above!

4 reps of 225 (have never tried more)
6'4 185lbs myself

Been back 90 days after 4 year lay off due to surgery 295X6 reverse grip on a smith machine as i train alone

watcha mean user?

Dropped 250 on myself in a gym full of people but that specific room was empty. That was really fun to roll down to my dick so I could sit up and get out from under it. It wasn't too much that it'd be worth sliding the plates off one side by tipping it. 295 probably would suck real bad.

that you aren't using anymore and are doing better things.

35 lb im lazy as fuck and like chocolate too much

Run a lot. If you start building muscle without burning the fat, you'll make your boobs bigger

been there .... i learned the hard way
dumbbells or smith machine the life you save will thank you....

Yep that was the last time I did that much alone. Always stuck with dumbbells after that if I didn't feel like getting someone to spot me. Not crazy about the smith machine although it is most certainly useful in that situation.

120 with great form :)

Can't you find a rack with safeties?

I honestly don't think I've been to a gym that has a bench with safeties. Always just a flat bench with one to three places to rack the bar.

Lmao you all e stat more that /fit

Are you sad that you don't even lift user? Does seeing stats that are hardly anything special make you feel that insecure?

200

I'll fuck the shit out of you, what city?

180 pounds 10 reps. Funny how many are still bullshitting even though it's anonymous.

210 I stopped after high school now I can do 180. Anything more isn't getting more than 2 sets. I've been a lazy little bitch since

440 bench
500 squat
515 dead
My weight fluctuates between 245 - 265...
6'1"

I don't see a single unrealistic number that you cannot get to in 1 year or less if you actually work out instead of tweet while you're at the gym.

Meant for

A squat/power rack m8. Just put a bench in there and set the pins. That shit may save your life some day.

6'0 190, can bench 250 once maybe twice, 225 can usually get five to eight, 185 I usually do twelve, could probably get a little higher on reps but nothing crazy.

265lbx5

singles?

I've considered it when nobody was there but I just stick to dumbbells or getting a spotter.

>her bias
I've always wondered how the fuck do people get these, and then I realized it morons like exerting themselves WAAAY out of what they can properly lift to impress others, I'd say your max proper bench is at most 250

Holy shit, adam?

i don't know probably your mother

>suicide grip

Used to bench 230 when I weighed 140 lbs at 5' 9

Now years later I havnt done bench in a year other than once or twice I weigh about 160 and can bench 190

245lbs on a great day

170

345 bench press weighing 215

OR. many people get hernias because of their muscle wall not growing properly. Just look at how common the inguinal hernia is you dipshit. I've had two hernias, one on each side. Real common. Nothing to do with lifting.

256 for a good 5 reps probably snap something in the process

link the original pic. After Ranma 1/2, this was the second anime I've watched. had a crush on her since.

I have no idea I screenshoted it on a thread ole a long time ago.
Same when tenchi first aired it was the highlight of my childhood

Haven't been to a gym or benched before kek

haven't done a 1RM in forever, but my 5x5 i usually shoot for 165

6ft 170lbs dyel here

"Used" to press 215 back in HS emphasis on the used to

Idk, I don't do the bar anymore. I'll do a set of 185 at work but not really a workout, just 1 set with my coworkers. I do dumbells instead. I do 1 set of 10 with the 100lbs dumbells on flat bench, and 85lbs on incline. I'm not sure what that translates to for bench press with the bar. I feel way more secure with dumbells. The bar feels weird to me.

Bench 235 and I weigh 155. I barely workout but I got some decent genetics.

275 last time I checked. Barbell trashes shoulders, do dumbells

Last time I went for a one rep max it was 80kg. Current at 3 sets of 10 for 62kg. So I'm getting there but my bench doesn't progress as fast as my squat and deadlift

200x1 @ 182 lbs body weight. Been lifting 2.5 years. When I started my max was 95 pounds.

I used to do powerlifting until I hurt my back on a job site. I see the young guys in the gym now (with terrible form) and I wish I could push my self hard without re-injuring my self. I try to help them with better form because they are usually pretty new. Now days I lift heavy but not power lifting heavy. 10 to 12 reps, good form, really focusing on engaging the muscle. I'm pretty happy I can still do Deadlifts and squats, I just have to take it easy.

Anyways, user make sure you really focus on engaging your core when you lift. I had to learn how to get really good at it and it makes a difference. I can squat and Deadlift without a belt, but then again I'm not going nuts with the weight.

145 kg

>also fattest i've ever been
220 four times,, first time yesterday, never done that weight before

315

355

i worked my ass off to get there, literally.

253

i had bypass surgery last year, so i bet just the bar (45 lbs) will wear me out. i bet i couldn't get much more than 100 without risking injury to my chest. feels bad too, since just ten years ago, i was bench 325 and had hoped to get to 350 one day.

175 for 5x5

How are your squat and deadlift so close together? I could deadlift about 70 more pounds than I could squat last time I checked my max. Does it have to do with flexibility? Then again, the last time I maxed squats I did a lot of climbing and only raised the weight in 10 lb increments so I was probably tired.
