Not sure if Liberty good for F1, or Liberty bad for F1.
They seem to be pro-streaming: >Don’t be surprised if Liberty Media introduces a direct-to-consumer streaming service featuring Formula One racing once the the John Malone-controlled company acquires the league. >Liberty’s “very excited about the idea,” CEO Greg Maffei told analysts today in a quarterly earnings call. A streaming service “makes a lot of sense for them and us.” >It might take time. There are “things to be worked through” to clarify the rights that are available from the pacts that Formula One and its teams have with broadcasters. But “I don’t think it’s insurmountable,” Maffei says. deadline.com/2016/11/liberty-media-launch-streaming-service-formula-one-racing-1201850657/
But also want to move the F1 off free TV: >The broadcast revenue stream is one area where Liberty believes F1 can bring in more money. “I think there’s an opportunity to grow that broadcast stream, much of it free-to-air, to competitive pay services,” said Maffei, speaking at Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference today. “That’s for example what happened in the UK when [Sky] recently bought the rights.” f1fanatic.co.uk/2016/09/22/libertys-plans-for-f1-more-pay-tv-us-races-and-digital-coverage/

I reckon viewing figures would disappear, and more people then before would be pirating the races to watch. But if the races are boring then there won't even be that. Is F1 kill?

I don't think they are so retarded they would take away free viewing (at least not straight away).
Ryder Hernandez
Do you really think they would start with streaming?
Maybe if the streaming app/service is REALLY AWESOME and not too expensive, it might be able to somewhat match the profits of their current jew TV rights deals I guess. Maybe they will continue with the TV rights, but then they would also be essentially competing against themselves or their clients/partners (whoever pays for TV rigths) with their app, and I'm pretty sure channels like Sky wouldn't be too happy paying those same fees if F1 has their own app going as well.
I mean I can technically stream F1 already anyway having paid for the Finnish F1 service, which includes streaming possiblity.

If digits, Kimi or Bottas will make every podium next season and Finnish dominance will begin anew.
Benjamin Taylor

Sebastian Perez
Bottas will outscore Hamilton Gimi will outscore Vettel
The only problem is that Red Bull will be on another level and Merc is 2nd best by some margin and Ferrari is maybe 3rd best. The relatively "weak" performances of our multi-champions will be attributed to "lack of motivation" because the "cars aren't as good as Red Bull" and the Finnish drivers' achievements will be downplayed (even though this performance would have resulted in a WDC if the car was as dominant as Merc 2014-2016) and attributed to their teammates being demotivated and burnt out and not trying their hardest because pro F1 drivers definitely aren't the most butthurtly competitive people ever
So I guess Finland loses again. Bonuspoints for Vettel/Hamilton retiring after 2017 to them getting beaten can be further attributed to a "well he knew he was quitting anyway"
Nicholas Cruz

Sorry lads, I left the laptop logged on at home so that stream wouldn't die
At that point, I didn't have the remote, and a couple of others were in the room.
At some point, everyone must've left, and the stream must've paused.
I've fixed it now. Also, everyone should have a copy of Streambro's login PDF, just in case something like this happens again, then you can use it to kick the remote-holder out

That doesn't really mean anything, at that time being gay wasn't exactly excepted. So him hiding away that he was gay would be what you would expect.

Yeah aside from that one weird little job that he spent most of his teenage years working towards and then spent like 300 plus days a year working on in one way or the other, often away from home
I also don't see how there would be a correlation between being "NEET" and not being gay
Also,
>christian and possibly rightwing views Doesn't mean shit, everyone in South America is ""christian"" >didn't liked to be in front of a huge public Yeah because he was gay >occasional spaghetti during interviews Yeah because he was gay >love to stay at his home in the countryside, far away from everyone Yeah because he was gay >loved Japan Yeah because he was gay

Ayrton Senna actually faked his death so he could come out of the closet without marring his legacy, and then pursue his life long dream of being a DJ in night clubs around the world. Later in life he got extensive plastic surgery and a name change so that he could race again in F1, however his driving skill had deteriorated and his comeback didn't last very long. He's back on the dj circuit and is now openly gay.

Funnily enough both Buemi and Alguesuari really weren't that bad from what I remember but suffered the >Toro Rosso experience. I mean Buemi at least mostly redeemed himself with what he has done in WEC and Formula E
I mean Alguersuari literally quit racing which is a bit sad to consider he's pretty much the same age as Vandoorne who has yet to even debut properly in F1.
On the >Toro Rosso note, I really hope Sainz doesn't get booted from F1 at the end of this year, he deserves a competitive drive. Who knows, maybe he'll get a drive at a competitive team.

Yeah. Sainz is good. I have a feeling one of the following will happen after 2017
a) Sainz to Williams to replace Massa, maybe move along with James Key who is already strongly linked to become the new TD at Williams b) Move to Renault - he already rejected one contract from them (basically the Hulkenberg deal) so I dunno how keen they are on him anymore c) RB chimpout and Ricciardo fucks off to Ferrari after Max tries to intentionally murder him on track 3 races in a row and Sainz gets a cheeky promotion

Jenson's gone mate, this was the only way McLaren could get rid of him without getting a "OMG U FIRED ARE JENSE??" Next we'll see him is WEC
So, Manor rejected another bid today from GF, the indonesian company.
Only thing Manor has done, kill one of their drivers.
Jeremiah Torres
Rubens Barrichello was literally the 2nd place driver and he managed 326 starts. Jenson is at 308 starts and has had an absolutely unbelievable career finishing ahead of his teammate every year since he was crowned the 2009 World Driver's Champion. Since then, he has put in stunning performance like the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix and the two times he finished 6th in his Mclaren Honda, with the press deeming such performances to rival the likes of Senna. He was also the last Mclaren driver to score a podium, at the 2014 Australian GP, so if you ask me Mclaren practically owe him another year in the seat.
