But with a daughter hellbent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, Pierce is pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and crimefighting legend - Black Lightning". The Akils will act as showrunners and wrote the pilot, which is being shopped around networks, indicating the show might not be part of the CW/WB shared universe.
