Is there any pre-battle scene that even rivals this one?

pre-battle? Maybe not, but pic related left a stronger feel than even what you posted, OP (which already had a lot of feels to it).

yes I too enjoy image.jpg

Braveheart and Aragorn's come close but don't rival it.

Controversial opinion, but: youtube.com/watch?v=ZC5hU8NohXE

The new Macbeth has get a better pre/during/post battle everything.

I got one that's nothing but pre-battle scene: youtube.com/watch?v=sdu7SW7_RMk

>macbeth
>battle scene

holy shit pls no

this is the stupidest shit ever. GoT doesn't make any kind of effort with fight/battle scenes.

What? It's pure kino.
He's supposed to be a war hero. The film starts in the battle and leads up to the meeting the witches, where the play starts, about 10 minutes in.

I swear the film is good enough to watch with the sound off.

The whole Battle of Helm's Deep just had this sort of hopelessness to it. Like in the back of your mind you know they're going to make it out ok because it's only the 2nd movie, but there's still an amazing sense of relief when Gandalf shows up.

The Battle of Minas Tirith didn't really have that, except for a few short scenes.

...

The battle of the bastards was as good as anything I've seen in movies (apart from the vfx being a bit cheap).

>macduff reveals to macbeth that he is not born of a woman
>macbeth doesn't give up, but continues to fight and get his head cut off

Why did they bother to copy and paste shakespeares dialogue when it is such a shitty adaptation

It's so annoying how the Matrix Reloaded showed flashes of being as amazing as the original. Good scenes like this just make me hate the rest of the movie for not being up to the same standard.

oh hai

WHO OWNS THE NORTH? WHO OWNS THE NORTH? SHOW ME!!!

Smalljon was ALPHA AF, id follow that guy into any battle

Damn straight, though the video in question was Stannis's resignation before being slaughtered.

THE much copied and referenced Alexander Nevsky battlescene.

The Battle of Pelinor Fields was hopeless until the Rohirrim arrived.

Once more unto the breach dear faggots.

Not in the book. Imrahil and Swan Knights of Dol Amroth wreck shit.

Of course not. The book was never dramatic for dramatic's sake.

not even the best pre battle scene in its own movie desu

I swear there's a dirext link between seeing this guy and me laughing. Like it bypasses my brain completely and I laugh without even knowing it.

I thought he said ere the sun rises, just flowery stuff to add to the dread of the grim death ahead of them.

Chills every time.

I know exactly what you mean. I fail the Sup Forums test every time.

>It's a lets ignore the plot in favor of watching proven actors circlejerk around famous scenes that year one high school students are forced to recite

What's the point? It's been done to hell and back, on screen and on stage. 2015 actually goes for something better, and achieves it.
