>needless to say, the very same critics and publications that ignored the Swans when they were releasing one masterpiece after the other hailed this mediocre senile work as a masterpiece 30 years later, finding all sorts of hidden meanings in what was simply an astute sellout.
How did Swans "sell out" on the Seer?
Adam Edwards
this is the guy who thinks pablo honey is the best radiohead album, the guy that thinks TMR is the best beefheart album, the guy that compared Sister Ray to classical music he talks out his ass constantly
Samuel Scott
He also admitted to listening to albums once or not even finishing them.
Gavin Gray
Nothing says "sell-out" like a 2 hour long epic with multiple tracks longer than 20 minutes.
Cooper Ramirez
Scaruffi is a joke
Charles Rogers
the seer is the most accessible album they made
Dylan Martinez
...
Caleb Sanders
The Seer is boring a lot of the time desu. The only post-reformation album worth a listen is TBK. The only people who prop up The Seer are the people who got into Swans because of it.
Nathaniel Bennett
It's an album with a brooding atmosphere but little actual content. How is any of this wrong these
Jacob Martin
you're ignoring all their post-punk albums
Brandon Miller
I think Filth, Cop, White Light From The Mouth Of Infinity, and To Be Kind are more accessible. The Seer does attract new fans, because a lot of it is very good, especially if you don't know what to expect.
