My name is Ted Trapp from Cincinnati, Ohio and I recently commented in an article by "Fusion" magazine regarding a hunger strike at San Francisco State University citing that their cause to build support for the ethnic studies program was a joke. I was met with nothing but blatant liberal bias and slander when I am just a humble guy trying to go to work and drink tequila on weekends.

The keyhole effect is using a metaphor of only being able to look in a room through a keyhole.
What you see through the keyhole is only one perspective, and objects can be arranged in front of that keyhole so give you a false impression of the room's interior.
The media does this by only showing parts of a narrative and then using that story.
A good example would be Trump's aborted rally in Chicago. The media made it look like Trump's supporters were responsible for the violence, when in reality they were being protected by the Police Department from the violent protesters who were arranged by Black Lives Matter and other George Soros funded agitator groups.
By only showing bits and pieces of video and misrepresenting the scene, they made it look to the casual observer that Donald Trump is responsible for violence, and therefore a violent man. The Chicago Police Department will tell you the very opposite is true. The mainstream media will not cover the CPD's statement.
This is a way they control the narrative.
