Many words look and sound similar, but there is a lot of guessing involved for me. For example, "gaan" sounds like it could be "gehen" or "gern" in German. So there's always this ambiguity which makes long sentences hard to understand.
When i read /nederdraad/, i can kinda guess what the conversations are about, but i only understand like 25% of the actual words
