Does anyone know of punk bands that are far right and not liberal?
I few I can think of:
FEAR Guttermouth The Vandals
Here are lyrics to a Guttermouth song so you can get an idea of just how anti-liberal they are:
Guttermouth - "Viva America" :
you may think you got it pretty bad well my friend you should be a fucking glad because you take for granted everything you've got try to find a disneyland in africa asshole! america, not china, not canada america, not cuba, not jamaica get a job you leaching welfare whore in the stars, there's non need to be poor, because true americans our pistol packing pals don't tread on me you fuckin' filthy foreigner america, not asia(minor), not nebraska, electricity we're americans, not indians, not russians put us down, we'll blow you off the map in a flash of hot water from the tap. light bulbs ,movies stars, we can cure the clap you stupid fuck
i saw Guttermouth at warped tour in maybe 02 or 03 (?) and it was the year NOFX was all "Not My President" and they spent the whole time just shit talking liberals and talking about how much they loved Bush
only other "right wing" punk bands I can think of off top of my head are FEAR and Agnostic Front. never was much into tough guy punk and most of the bands I really like are pretty apolitical
Yeah I remember that. Apparently they were selling shirts with Fat Mike on them that said "Not my political advisor" and Scott the guitarist has an American flag on his guitar.
Propagandhi also had issues with Fat Mike and left his label, they were supposed to be on the first "Rock Against Bush" comp but they bashed George Soros.
Mark sounds a lot smarter than Fat Mike, here is Mark talking about the future in 2012 and he is dead on:
>own a record label >have a kickstarter for your newest album >get paid to have your band promoted on one tree hill fuck fat mike
Sebastian Brown
i mean, i fucking love NOFX but I was in middle school when Punk and Drublic and Heavy Petting Zoo came out. I would actually consider Guttermouth to be cringier than NOFX overall, but i have a place in my heart for both bands because muh youth. NOFX is interesting melodically and I consider them the kings of that retardedly fast skate punk sound.
Adrian Jackson
I'd love to hear some right wing punk that isn't skinhead oi skrewdriver shite.
Leo Ramirez
another funny thing, I was so into Michael Moore and being a "democrat" at that time, I actually had the Not My President shirt. I was like 18 though, I'm probably the oldest guy on Sup Forums i'm more of a libertarian these days and yeah, I voted Trump but I was a Rand Paul guy in the primaries. things change.
what's funny to me is the whole audience for that brand of music can't even fucking vote
Angel Wood
they were alright before the political shit. only heard one guttermouth song on thps3 and it was fucking awful.
Jason Cox
Reminder that Fat Mike gets fucked in the ass by his hooker wife with Big black dildos and made a musical out of it that failed
He made an entire album how vegans suck and then became a vegan.
He is a shitty human too, the guitarist Eric's girlfriend was raped and he never told Eric.
"The guy that did it would have killed him"
Also, his wife left him because he is a drug addict...he is like 60 years old lol.
Colton Evans
i'm a fuckhuge SW fan, which is also embarrassing but again, can't escape youth. was super surprised by the new generation of SJW punks backlash against Ben Weasel for hitting that girl who spit on his face and threw drink at him... and also against the Queers for posting a pro-police message for the cop that shot a black guy in self defense. i guess all the kids think The Queers are wacist now, sad because that's probably the best ear/tunesmith punk rock ever had, dude is a fucking musical giant
Gavin Diaz
NOFX are so fucking gay dude. I thought they were the shit back when they were on Tony Hawk Underground or some shit but then I realized they're just like a shittier version of Green Day with cringe political lyrics.
Henry Peterson
OP here, yeah I want regular punk music that sounds good.
Hearing all of the liberal heavy shit gets old.
Brandon Garcia
NOFX is nothing like green day, pretty sure i just got baited but oh well. also, green day is a great fucking band but don't pay attention to anything past Nimrod because they are old and lost the magic
It's actually making fun of punk rock, which makes it even more interesting/funny.
Cooper Phillips
Skate pop punk shit with edgy preachy political that all sounds the same. That's the similarity.
Ian Peterson
NOFX was always known for good production, a lot of songs are good but you would have to go back to like...1996 or before.
The Decline was the end for NOFX. That album made them life long cucks.
Josiah Flores
Green Day doesn't really sound like skate punk to me, and the Green Day I'm referencing (the Green Day 10 years before American Idiot) doesn't do any preachy shit, it's all love songs and about being a loser, smoking pot, jacking off etc
they were all like 40 when American Idiot came out, you were probably a baby but Green Day got famous because Dookie, not American Idiot
You 're honestly not going to find much m8s unless you're a fucking nazi. unless you count the Ramones, Agnostic Front are theonly good right wing punk I've heard.
Josiah Hill
They have always had a goofy style, but some songs are a lot better than others.
BTW this is album cover, I don;t know how they got away with that kek:
THIS. there's not a whole lot of room for songs about lowering taxes to encourage people to spend and create new jobs or whatever. there are plenty of individualist punk ideas but that's not really political. i think the theme of big, scary evil government is prominent in punk rock but the sad truth is both Republicans and Democrats are pro-big scary, evil government
politics and music really aren't something that should go together, some fruitcake with a guitar who literally sings for money is the last guy on earth whose opinion i take seriously on the economy, foreign policy or whatever.
Asher Garcia
jesus fucking christ
Christian Rodriguez
how do you have a link for a video that isn't on YouTube
do you just have that link on hand or something
Nicholas Richardson
The original image on the album cover was edited so much I can't find it.
They also say nigger on the album but it's bleeped out. Something about "You never find a nigger on a dog beach". lol
I thought there would be some backlash but Guttermouth literally don't give a fuck.
Hudson Parker
punk is supposed to be anti-traditionalist, the only way a proper punk band can be right wing is by being libertarian/capitalist/ancap/anind
Thomas Green
I think that for a right wing punk band to "work", they pretty much have to touch on topics of not trusting the government, personal independence and a general feeling of taking matters into your own hand.
John Robinson
I think with a lot of punk bands they start as kids and their political views change, but they still like the music.
Just because you play punk doesn't mean you have to be ok with welfare leeching. Or a million other political views.
Because punk is so biased, obviously some people keep their views hidden.
Also some things are twisted later on, Minor Threat's "Guilty of being White" was a song literally about Ian being treated like shit by black people in DC.
Relax boy I'm liberal myself but no need to be edgy.
Jose Gutierrez
People have already mentioned The Ramones and Agnostic Front.
Here are a few more that haven't been mentioned yet....
White Pride The F.U.s U.S. Chaos Antiseen X
Also The Dead Milkmen did a song on their first album called Tiny Town
Of course all these bands are from the U.S. I couldn't really tell you about any bands from outside the U.S. unless you want to explore RAC Oi! bands Like Skrewdriver and the like.
Leo Sanders
yeah so much nonwhite punk amirite
Camden Perry
I only listen to punk bands that don't cry about guns, racism, or hating America.
Now tell me why the singer of Bad Brains hates gay people and gets a pass?
Josiah Morales
Oh, yeah? What the fuck would you know about it, Capone? What are YOU in here for?
Gabriel Lee
he apologized
Jaxson Flores
lol
"Lead vocalist and most outspoken member of the band, HR, recently said in an interview, “Yeah, mon, I and I no longer fireburn Biscuit. Biscuit the raging fag is alright with the Brains, mon. Besides, it was shitty weed and we didn’t even get off on it. I and I now must focus on burning Babylon and concentrating on fighting the real enemy: the Jew!”
Kickback has referenced Julius Evola and are pretty blatantly offensive to most crybabies in the hardcore scene. They're not really right or left though. More like the hardcore version of Whitehouse where the recurring theme is pleasure at any cost.
Jayden Cooper
Combat 84, one of the best Oi! bands IMO. Their singer was just a bit racist, but the rest didn't agree with him. They were definitely of a working-class right-wing mindset, songs about hanging rapists, pro-nuclear, etc. Sham 69 had a tune called Red London which was anti-Socialist, pro-individualism, I believe, though that's not to say they were right-wing per se A bunch of other Oi! bands would be right-of-center without being RAC but I can't be bothered to go into them An interesting one, as much as Paul Weller is a Socialist now, back when the Jam first started he stated that they would be voting Tory in the general election That's mostly why he gets a pass; he's so out of it that it's pointless to try and hold him to some typical standard. Isn't it incredibly likely that he's a schizophrenic but he doesn't take his medication because it goes against his beliefs or something?
Jace Hernandez
Actually "Chubby" Chris wasn't a racist, but he WAS an outspoken right wing conservative. Combat 84 played quite a few RAC gigs in the beginning so people thought he was racist. It's interesting to note that their guitar player "Depford" John held politics that were opposite of Chubby Chris, and yet they still made it work. I didn't agree with everything they said in their songs, but they had quite a few good ones, like Poser, Right to Choose, and Barry Pruden. (Rapist was also good)
And Paul Weller wasn't really a Tory. He said he'd vote for Thatcher as a reaction to all the "Anarchy" malarky that permeated the London punk scene in 1977.
Don't forget the lyrics to All Around The World
>What's the point in saying Destroy? I want a new life for everywhere.
I think it's insane that H.R. goes on about the jews since the RIOR cassette was not only put out by a jew but the liner notes to the C.D. re-issue was written by a jew.
>Silly H.R.
Gabriel Ramirez
my man, I lost a teeth at one of their concerts
Kickback is the shit
Tyler Clark
that rules. one of the few bands I'd really go out of the way to see if they ever start playing again and hit up the US.
Jeremiah Ortiz
> right wing > punk Pick one.
Chase Gomez
lmao right wing can't be punk
>i want stuff to stay the same ;___; >i want stuff be like it was before ;___; >muh feels ;___;
Brandon Murphy
Go back to your tranny and commie bands
Logan Bailey
even "right wing" punk isn't even particularly right wing, certainly not conservative. there's this weird perception in the 2010s that anything that isn't progressive/sjw is automatically right wing
Kevin Morales
idpol totally overshadowed ecpol, that's the result
Isaac Jackson
Sorry buddy, punk rock is explicitly anti-corporate and anti consumerist.
Josiah Jackson
Well, I don't see how any of that isn't compatible.
Liam Cox
> not knowing that Joey was a commie Really, his mom was CPUSA card carrying member The Ramones were a strange band
Isaiah Hernandez
In America "personal freedoms" is used as an abstraction / spook to justify corporate tyranny when it should be more accurately applied to small business
Eli Williams
this is all it takes for you? this one little song and now you can listen to the band that sand about the mr pibb movie? don't you think this desperation is a bit sad?
Josiah Sanchez
>I'm probably the oldest guy on Sup Forums i'm more of a libertarian these days and yeah, I voted Trump but I was a Rand Paul guy in the primaries.
thanks for confirming you have no social skills
Samuel Myers
consider raiding your parents gun cabinet. look for the barrel that tastes best.
Bentley Cooper
Don't you have some Michael Parenti lectures to listen to between tracks?
