Routine infant circumcision (RIC) is fucked up. Especially for the fact that most RICs are quite radical, removing about 50% of the penile skin. The penis grows something like 8x it's size from birth to adulthood. There's no way to know for sure how much skin is enough or not. The guidelines for most RIC indicate to only cut 2 cm of the prepuce, while most doctors cut double that , cutting all the way down to the glans.
If RIC is to continue, there should at least be better guidelines so that no man's dick has any scars or missing skin structures entirely.
