I don't remember, did he actually say he didn't believe in God? I thought he just said he didn't believe in divine intervention, or at the very least didn't believe that God would give enough of a shit about them to stop some bullets.

I don't remember him saying "there is no god" but he seemed to think the notion of "taking the lords name in vain" "divine intervention" and everything else god related was nonsense.

I would think that after seeing a man's soul I would start to be just as nervous about the after life as his partner was.
