Assyrians, like Armenians, are not arabs. They fought them off for thousands of years and remained pure. Mostly because of their strict culture of only marrying other of the same culture.

Lebanon is the closest thing. My Lebanese friend said other than cities, Christians live segregated from Muslims. It had a Christina population of over 80% in the 1920's. Most left. Brazil has more Lebanese people (all Christian) than Lebanon.
