that won't hurt anything. I've washed electronics lots of times. as long as they dry thoroughly before applying power, it won't hurt anything. also, dry it quickly enough to prevent rust.
i generally shake the excess water off, then use a hair dryer on low to remove the vast majority of the moisture. then i'll just let it set in a dry environment (house) to completely dry for a day or two.
never had something get zapped.

I'm not trying to rag on your car, user, but seriously...if you've never worked on a 944 before, you're in for a total nightmare. They weren't assembled that well from Porsche to begin with. Literally the only engine Porsche produced where the caps for the connecting rods were put in separate bins APART from the rest of the rods, and everything was later assembled unmatched and at random. Basically the entire car was built on that level.
If you bought a 944 because you love that particular car, then great. Like I said, I'm not going to shit on your car. But if you bought a 944 "to have a Porsche," get out from under it...
