In a dystopian society, single people must find a mate within 45 days or be transformed into an animal of their choice

This description only applied to the first 30 minutes of the movie

This concept is pretty much one of the most horrifying ones I'm aware of.

I choose an african. Now I have a giant penis and can get any mate I want.

>the description better spoil the movie for me!

Great fucking movie you cunt

Bump

>This description only applied to the first 30 minutes of the movie

This so much. When I read about a movie or watch a trailer I want all the plot beats, characters, etc.

LOL

OP BLOWN THE FUCK OUT

this is the dumbest fuckign post i've ever seen on this shitty ass board

They served and fully fleshed out the concept, the fuck are you on about?

I went in expecting something more tense then trying to fuck in the woods without getting caught for an hour

I liked the first half a lot more. Second half didn't say much besides the ending.

>premise

Instead of slashing each other's lips, why didn't the outcasts encourage fuck-buddies and just pair up and continue to fake a loving relationship in the city indefinitely?

Or would this obvious solution contradict the director/writers hamfisted contention that if you're single and not in a loving relationship, you're either an animal (in the eyes of society, which isn't really true), or need to make a huge sacrifice (like stabbing your eyes out) to be in one?

It was meant to be a metaphor about jaded loners who if they can't be happy in a relationship, they don't want anyone else to be. Basically think of it as /r9k/ in the forest.

But I didn't like this half that much anyways.

Are you really this dense?

this movie was terrible. the premise, the acting, the nonsensical actions of everyone, the overbearing metaphors, just dreadful

ITT: Sup Forums can't into black comedy

u mad.

i liked it was 8/10 for me

Your one of those twats who talked me into seeing this, aren't you?

Even after you suffer through the banal symbology throughout, there's the agony inducing dullness to the film's pacing...which was slow, but then the fucking director actually slows it FURTHER by using slo-mo. I can't believe I'm seeing Farrell and Weisz, two of my favorite actors onscreen for the first time ever (with C. Thomas Reilly thrown in for good measure) and still sneaking peeks at my watch.

And what's the point of using A-list actors to deliver all their lines in porno-tier performances, anyway?

>in a dystopian society, single people must find a mate within 45 days or be transformed into an animal of their choice.

kek is that what this movie is about? sounds like a must watch

The only people who take issue with the premise are r9k crossposters.
