pogrom - liberal cunt
DNA - DNA on DNA
brainbombs - urge to kill

+Primus
+Red, Age of Adz

Brainbombs - Obey
+Flight Of The Conchords

Those spaghetti-lookin feet on the right character kek
I don't really like harsh noise (Pogrom) but more bass-driven noise that still has a bit of order.
Do like DNA and Brainbombs though, thanks for the rec.
Check out King Crimson - ITCOTCK or Discipline for more funky prog
If you like Satie, you may like Chopin's Nocturnes and to a lesser extent Liszt's piano concertos

something not metal
don't know any of those
do you actually like the that ugly mane project over mista thug isolation

that moustache was a mistake

the vincent black shadow - fears in the water
from duck - guitar vader
Aquilus - Griseus
of the wand and moon - :Nighttimes Nightrhymes:
puscifer - conditions of my parole

...

What does everyone think about Sonemic? New chart feature is really nice, discovered some good stuff so far.

Philippe Herreweghe's Lassus recordings.

Holger Czukay - Canaxis 5

Third Ear Band - Magic Music

i know, but cave is so cool anyway

something not hip hop

It's kinda cliche, but I appreciate Atheist's Unquestionable Presence so much more now that I had more experience with jazz music. Honestly may overtake Altars Of Madness as my all time favorite death metal release. Also damn, I can't stand Legion's thin ass tone; hate to admit it but honestly some people are right when they say Deicide is overrated.

>GoD
>Bromst
Good stuff.

Twine - Recorder (ambient)
Forest Swords - Compassion (tribal psychedelic electronic?)
>Slint
>Branca
>Pere Ubu
>Orchid
>Coil
Nice stuff.

Midori Takada - Through The Looking Glass (minimalism)
Ornette Coleman - Skies Of America (third stream)
Cool noisy stuff in general.
Michio Kadotani - 腐っていくテレパシーズ (psych/noise rock)
Oxbow - Thin Black Duke (jazzy mathy noise rock)
I like the majority of stuff here, but will say I am pleasantly surprised to see the Nordvrede and Der Sturmer. Cool riffy stuff that may not get the chance cuz NSBM.

Whores - Gold (sludge metal/noise rock)
Mooncitadel - As Nightwind Embraced and the Shadows Caressed (black metal)

I like shit with melodies, I like to dance, I like lyrics which I heavily relate with.

Sue me.

+Black Sabbath
Only album I've listened to on your chart.
Don't know any of it.

Haven't heard any
Haven't heard any.

I hate the new layout of the site.
Hurts my fucking eyes.
And it's harder to navigate imo.

>something not metal
But only ~20/50 are metal
Black Flag, Baader Brains, Devo
Takeshi Terauchi - Nippon Guitars
Osamu Kitajima - Benzaiten
Minoru Muraoka - Bamboo
Atsumasa Nakabayashi Trio - Melody of Japan (personal favourite for Japanese folk)
>... I am pleasantly surprised to see the Nordvrede and Der Sturmer. Cool riffy stuff that may not get the chance cuz NSBM.
Yeah, a bit of people avoid NSBM/RAC/Oi! like the plague but that's what got me into music when I was a lad.
If you like Bolt Thrower check out Anal Cunt, Insect Warfare, Napalm Death, Population Reduction, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Dying Fetus, Entombed, and Obituary. A bit of grind and death.
For more like Judas Priest check out Dio and Iron Maiden
>I hate the new layout of the site.
Rec 4chanX

I was referring to sonemic/rym, not Sup Forums.
lol

I already use 4chanx anyways.

Any music suggestions?

Hot Rats - Frank Zappa
The Inner Mounting Flame - The Mahavishnu Orchestra

Yes - The Yes Album
Men Without Hats - Rhythm of Youth
DEVO - Q. Are We Not Men? A. We Are Devo!

Clever Girl - No Drum and Bass in the Jazz Room

Oh, idk about RYM lol, I thought An Hiro changed the layout.
If you want more like trad/doom/stoner stuff like Sabbath check out Trouble, Witchfinder General, Electric Wizard, Cathedral, and Sleep
More punk like Bad Brainz try Black Flag, X, Agent Orange, Agnostic Front (especially), Circlejerks a bit too
Also King Crimson and The Doors for rock but I'm not much for rock and you've probably listened to them. Интepкocмoc is a pretty obscure psych rock group that's fun to listen too.

gripper nother onesers - live at slimer beach
stephan micus - implosions

Thanks a lot for these recs user, been really enjoying listening to that Japanese folk compilation.

>Abba - Gold
So many good tracks!

>I hate the new layout of the site.
>Hurts my fucking eyes.
>And it's harder to navigate imo.

In terms of the visual design of the site, I'm indifferent. On one hand, there's a lot more useful information now - especially for users who catalogue a lot - but on the other hand, there's for some reason a lot of empty space throughout the site like on your profile (why is the chat box the entire size of the page?)

In terms of navigation, It feels almost the same as RYM but they seem to have made it slightly less consistent. The playlist feature, chart building, better cataloguing, album recommendations and general discovery are actually really good and a joy to use.

Thanks for the recs mate.
I'll check them out

Soft Machine - Third and Henry Cow - In Praise of Learning

Organized Konfusion - Stress and The Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride II

The only one I am not familiar with of those bands is Population Reduction. Thrash/grind combo sounds interesting, will definitely check out. Thanks!
>but that's what got me into music when I was a lad.
How were you exposed to that before the usual stuff?

Drakengard ost
Rob Magill - Dedicated To Those Who Recently Lived

Recommend listening to Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers as well as Hank Mobley right now

Being a white teen in Detroit in the late 90's and early 2000's, I used to hang with skinheads a bit. We used to go see bands on the "Resistance Records" payroll (Aryan and Aggravated Assault were favourites) that toured and played in the area. Even got to see Mudoven live, that was crazy.
But, grew up, moved away, moved on. Still like the music though.

not sure how into city pop you are, but other 80's japanese artists are pretty good, maybe check jpop80ss blogspot
jackie o motherfucker
digable planets, maybe some goodie mob
not great for lyrics, but yellow magic orchestra seems up your alley, especially solid state survivor

Oh yeah, to add onto that the scene wasn't that big so in a lot of ways everyone knew everyone. Like I knew the guitarist from "Angry Aryans" as a close friend.
Ah, memory lane strolling.
I''l check it out bro, thanks for the catalogue

Turns out I like a lot of Sup Forumscore...

Eyehategod, Alucarda, Grief, and Cough for sludge metal.

Heard those besides Alucarda, thanks for rec!

Grant Green
Kenny Burrell
Sonny Clark
Sonny Rollins
Horace Silver

When I was making this I quickly realised I'm a pleb

I hate subscribing to the pleb/patrician philosophy but if you were to look back at my first charts in late 2013 they're worst than yours. I ain't gonna knock you though, there's some good stuff on your chart
+MBV, Slowdive, GYBE, Swans. Even that MC soundtrack is super good.
>Angles 9 out of absolutely nowhere also

You just gotta find your favourite genres and explore them, you'll slowly find your taste expanding. Honestly, don't know much of your chart outside of the artists I previously mentioned, but it can't hurt listening to more "classic" albums from the 60s - 80s.

bump

Rush - A Farewell To Kings
>and then
Rush - Hemispheres

...

no such thing :)

Check out Lil Ugly Mane - Three Sided Tape Volume One

sent :)

Stoner recs pls

>all these garbage ass plebs
Tsk tsk, when will you guys grow out of popular music and come to the real forefront of music itself? It's the equivalent of a foodie saying their favorite stuff is fast food. There's no excuse in the 21st century to be a pleb when it comes to music when being a fan of music.

Food for Animals - s/t/
youtube.com/watch?v=8csP8n3vVWE

Orchid - Capricorn
youtube.com/watch?v=dXZD88i15j8

>le babbys first modern "classical" xDd
>not pleb

You got names for these? I like the ones I know and if they're anything like those albums I want the names

>thinks muh babys first or entry level matters compared to the actual qualities of the music
The epitome of plebship right here

Looking for some more Southern hip hop

nice trips
Robert Ashley - Wolfman EP

thanks lol
the tape album is duster - testphase, tape one
the magic bridge is a fine place to start with richard dawson to be honest. it's my favorite cuz it's his most uncompromisingly heartfelt album imo.
the only other album even oxen has is his self titled album, its pretty good
if you want more psych folk try Лилoвый дeнь

thank

Legion may be overrated, but their self titled is some of the greatest OSDM there is

Oh shit i haven't listened to that duster one, and i normally don't love psych folk but is its like Even Oxen, i'll bite. Thanks brodie

the album i gave you isn't quite like even oxen lol. if you want something more melodic try sparklehorse - good morning spider

did you even look at your chart pal

You're a special person picking your own unique taste from the platter of highly rated albums posted here daily

You're a disgusting whore who likes to gobble up every last drip of shit Sup Forums likes to shove down your throat, slag

new to Sup Forums, is there a way to get rid of an album when making these charts? the only way i found out was to replace it by another album

Any recs for upbeat albums that get you hyped?

don't reply to me ever again
