Hey! I posted something in a similar thread earlier, but it didn't last long lol, so I just wanted to mention that my band, Friday Life, has released a new single called "Running Out of Time" on bandcamp. Please listen to it/download it (it's free)/review it! It would mean a lot to me. Thank you!

Thanks to the person who gave me my 4 plays yesterday
Men (and women but there aren't any women in this thread probably) of influence:
back
dang, thought you meant you posted a new song. still can't get into mullvad but I feel like you're the type of person who might just make something absurdly good sometime
rec, like this a lot better than your new stuff
going to be real with you. this song is...kinda cringey. the first riff isn't bad, a little inoffensive sure but not BAD, and the recording isn't bad (kinda reminds me of meth teeth), but that chorus is just...the "running! falling!" part is terrible. it sounds like that "hoopla! hoopla!" kid in spongebob or something. all in all, without that, it's a little bland in the same way foliage is, but not that bad. definitely check out meth teeth
this is good. nails the nostalgia factor but has enough thought put into the background and I love the color vibes the guitar gives off. very dreamy, fitting vocals. wish you had the lyrics posted, I'm getting most of it but that's a pet peeve of mine
still listening a good bit to this. your voice is so gorgeous. I wish you relied less on arpeggios though
i fucking love this, this is jacob right?
thanks great music as always from you my friend, dont worry about the arpeggios everything released by me pre-2017 is now non-canon to the pleasance discography
love the album! just listened today at work
listened to this album a while back, the opening of the first song was spot on, great way to start off. thanks for bringing out the vocals also, tho im not sure what the whispering adds to the album/why you went in that direction
if you're talking about the screams, I hate them and I'm not planning on ever doing them like that again. on nobody home they're ok, and they work on blow imo, but on the opener they're soooo garbage
I'll have my headcanon them
might message you about new stuff I'm working on as it progresses further btw, I want to steal yr voice
heh i mean that was a joke obviously but the new stuff im working on is a whole lot better than AGH, at least i think it might be. but yeah man, message me about whatever musical project you have going on, would love to hear about it.
thanks a bunch! hopefully the music made your work day less boring and slightly more intriguing

You're too kind, I must show reverence to the true head honcho folk guy round these parts.
Please allow me to support my local family owned motels by making this album 'name your price' thanks
-Pleasance
Well shucks, that's very nice of you. I've been going back and forth on whether or not I'd allow people to pay since I'm weird like that, but I suppose I should just give people the option to if they want. Regardless thanks for anything you'd decide to throw my way, means a lot coming from someone like you.

I have other projects besides Cata Martinez that are less pop, if that's more your thing.
Recommend:
lyrics feel kinda cheesy when i can understand it, the drum sounds are a lil dry
but overall rly nice synths / melodies / chord progression
this is LARGE
the theme works perfectly as a dnb tune
i think.. u could possibly make it longer heh
le shill
wooo this is really well-written and well-produced, interesting chord progressions, nice basslines, fun melodies
on top of that the lyrics / vocals are v nice (oo the harmonies on that intro)
manages to cover many genres while staying cohesive
sippin my beer to these first few tunes, bigups
interesting use of spoken word, not what i was expecting, rly unsettling in a good way
definitely an experimental concept which i dig.. but its hard not to skip around through the tracks bc there arent any distinguishable moments and the lyrics aren't intelligible (unless they're in polish which i just realized lmao)
yep definitely polish sorry about the unintelligible comment
ya if ur goin for background music it's pleasant without being too repetitive
might listen to the album in full once im all danced out.. will give the sleep review later heh
i'd rly recommend normalizing the volume on ur tunes bc some of them are quiet to the point of being inaudible
but once i crank it up to 9.. emotional tunes
lyrics are blunt but not cheesy i think
solid singer-songwriter stuff ya
i think i gave u feedback last thread
the whole concept is too edgy and it sounds like its striving to be funny but it just makes me think of Sup Forums-tier humor
rubbed me the wrong way if thats what u were goin for lmao
Hot Dog is fun fun fun
good winter tune even tho its summer
real nice piano solo
why the mspaint writing on the artwork tho lmaooo
shitpost to the point of me being uninterested in listening to it after looking at the page and listening to one song
kinda seems like a waste of time but if ur havin fun.. all that matters imo
at least try to not sound like a shill, jesus
foliage gives no fucks
Oh, and also this one, which I didn't see until I posted.
Did you ever try listening to the music rather than the lyrics ?
i am
btw sorry forgot to mention
i generally dont listen to lyrics first tho tbqh

I do like what you're doing here, but I feel vaporwave is a perfect genre for experimentation. I don't hear or feel a lot of originality here but it's not a bad listen either. What album are you most proud of?
I like some of the production here. Has a witch house vibe to it almost. Mixing on the second song sounds a little muffled, I think a brighter mix would've worked better. Good stuff.

yeah I'm gonna start making unironic music but It was pretty fun making all these tracks while still being new to production and stuff
Idk like Beatles/Beach Boys style pop. Lot of strings, horns, and bells. Vocal harmonies too.
