Go to Little Saigon, the biggest Vietnamese enclave in the United States

>Go to Little Saigon, the biggest Vietnamese enclave in the United States
>Go inside all the supermarkets and shopping malls
>Literally everything is Chinese
>Almost no Vietnamese brands
>95% are Chinese brands
>Chinese traditional music playing in the stores
>People watching Chinese dramas with Vietnamese subtitles while eating their noodles

I wanted a Vietnamese experience, but I ended up getting a Chinese experience.

Explain yourself, Vietnam.

Go to a different Asian strip mall? That store doesn't look very big 2bh.

>he fell for it

...

>Go to a so-called "Vietnamese" massage parlour
>Take off my clothes
>Girl walks into the room.
>"Hello, sirrrrrr! How are uuuuuu?"
>IT'S A FILIPINA!

What is this trickery?

I went to like 6 different shopping centers in Little Saigon. All of them were Vietnamese. That's not my picture. I wanted a Vietnamese experience, but I got a Chinese one.

i saw some vietnamese posters say how they actually don't really have their own culture, and they got cucked by the chinese in that sense

Fell for what?

>Go to a sushi bar in Auckland
>the bartender says "annyeong haseyo!"

This is the Vietnamese culture that I know of:

>Vietnamese cone hat
This seems to be like the biggest symbol of Vietnam. You see the hat, and you immediately think of Vietnam. Looks like a comfy hat.

>Vietnamese food
Seems influenced by French and Chinese cuisine. Chinese food seems more rich and colorful (in flavor) while Vietnamese food seems more hearty. I love Vietnamese food.

>Water puppet shows
Not sure if this is a Vietnamese creation. Seems that other Southeast Asian countries have the same thing. I learned about this from a Civilization 5 fan mod.

>Vietnamese writing
Seems like they use the Western alphabet. Looks confusing as fuck.

>Vietnamese white dress
Looks very aesthetic. I love it.

>Ear picking
I saw a couple of these videos on YouTube before. Looks... interesting.

Tonnes of american "vietnamese" are really just chinese who were kicked out after the war in 1979.

they still retain their seperate culture/language. also that supermarket is 100% chinese since it uses chinese writing.

>Go to a Japanese, Korean or Thai restaurant
>Listen to the waiters speak to each other
>They're talking in Mandarin

lol

>got to sushi restaurant
>entire staff is chinese

That's in LA right? You should go down to San Diego if you want a good Vietnamese experience.

I'm white and grew up with a bunch of second generation boat people in the 90s, and I can confirm it was a top tier comfy childhood.

Meanwhile in Germany every Chinese restaurant is owned by Vietnamese or Cambodians.

...

>Mandarin
You're full of shit.

I don't think a lot of Vietnamese stuffs can get their way to the US, mostly because of their shit quality.

At most, you would have rice, durians, and some other food that imported from Vietnam, things that you never question of their origin.

all the japanese places are run by koreans, all the korean places are run by chinese, and all the chinese places are run by vietnamese

HAAHAHAH

China is growing larger

Let me guess, you're completely fine with avocados in your sushi however, right?

and those cool bamboo hats that Raiden wears

Let me guess, you're completely fine with avocados in your sushi however, right?

> Cambodians
wut?
But yeah, most Asians in Germany are Vietnamese.

What's some cool Vietnamese architecture?

After digging through the Internet, it seems that this pagoda is considered a really big deal in Vietnam.

I found some cool-looking temples, but they were constructed in the 1890s or the 20th century. Not reconstructed, but newly constructed.

>go to the red light district to fuck some dutch girls
>everyone is slavic
wtf is this trickery

of course lad, avos are the key to being a strong young man

I only acknowledge buildings that are pre-19th century, just so you know.

We have some like these:
