Do you fags realize that this will probably be the only solar eclipse we see on our lifetimes?

Do you fags realize that this will probably be the only solar eclipse we see on our lifetimes?

Are you in the path of totality?
What are your thoughts?

I'm in Southern Illinois. I'm directly in the path of longest totality.

i'll be traveling there to see it, not going to get a good view in minnesota

Gay?

Ozzy will be here too.

wonder if we could make a prank telling all the retards to look at it

>giving retards permanent eye damage
>while the educated will watch with safety glasses

sounds like natural selection to me

You can't look at it while it's being eclipsed, but once it is completely and fully eclipsed it's safe to look at.

As long as the moon is truly and completely blocking the sun.

you have to be in the path of totality to see the true total eclipse

>this will probably be the only solar eclipse we see on our lifetimes
>mfw I've already seen 2 and this will be my 3rd

>total eclipse

how old are you?

When is it happening?

August 21st

>probably
you do know that astronomers have figure out with over 90% accuracy when and where to see every eclipse for he next 500 years

>within your life time

>quads
there will be plenty of eclipses within our lifetime
but to give you credit, this is the only TOTAL eclipse well see for awhile

i believe this is the only solar eclipse that will be visable in the states for a long ass time

My town is directly in the path of totality but I have to be away for the week. I have surrendered myself to this shitty fate and I will at least enjoy not having to deal with an actual 100,000 faggot hipsters from neighboring states cramming into an area that barely supports 20000 people

there are 50 partial and total eclipses between the 22nd and the end of 2040

If you count a few years as a long ass time, then yes

Until 2024 if you're in the southern states.

OP it is cool to be in the path of the totality but your statement on lifetime is fucking stupid. Maybe a total eclipse but solar eclipses happen fairly often.

Only if you never travel.

There is a total eclipse crossing the US in 2024 and there are multiple total eclipses in other parts of the world until then.

Pretty much me and I live in Canada

the next total eclipse visible in the continental US will be in 2024
but I guess with your basement dwelling lard ass lifestyle 6 years is well beyond your lifetime

This'll be my second eclipse.
I saw the one back in 1994, but it wasn't total.
However, I was like, right under what they call the "area of greatest eclipse".
It was pretty cool.
I wanted to travel to the area of totality for the upcoming one, but it looks like I'm going to miss out on that. Where I'm at will still be like 80% or so, so I guess that's not too bad.
