Right? I'm glad the CURRENT GENERATION'S pop stars are so much better

ugly, cringy dude, but man he could sing

>CRAWWWLLLIN IINNN MUUHHH SKIN

Mate. Have you seen the rockstars of the current decade?

No nu-metal band spawned anyone who was generally considered to be a "rockstar" in the public eye. Fred Durst was the closest thing to one, but everyone got really sick of him really quickly.
At the genre's commercial peak it was all still generally treated as a joke by everyone except for the 10-to-14-year olds who bought the CDs. There was always something highly disreputable and trashy about it all.
That said though, even in a genre as utterly devoid of charismatic and likable frontmen as nu-metal though, the two fuckheads from Linkin Park stood out as being particularly bereft of charisma and notable features. Awful, awful band.

lol, 10/10 post.

Let's just keep in mind xxx was inspired by Ra's transhumanist luciferian sound

hey guys, what's going on in this thread?

this post is pretty accurate
nu-metal was always too whiny and juvenile for the music or the people making it to be treated with any sort of reverence or respect
none of the frontmen of the big nu-metal bands were ever treated and perceived the way that the likes of cobain or staley or the gallaghers were treated in the 90s

Hey mike

People like Serj Tankian don't they?

This goes to show how out of touch society is with their own species, probably partly due to adapting to excessive shut-in lifestyles thanks to advances in technology and internet culture. Emotional music covering difficult subjects =cringe and that's pretty sad.

he kind of looks like a trailer trash version of hugh dancy

P.O.D. man?
Kid Rock?
Papa Roach guy?
Tommy Lee with Methods of Mayhem?

GG Allin was never a rockstar.

Chino from Deftones
Jonathan Davis
Motherfucking David Draiman

>nu-metal was always too whiny and juvenile
Dude most early metal was about either devil worship or sleaze. If anything, nu-metal was a maturation of the genre's lyrical content.

>the first "metal" song was a dude weed anthem

Fred Durst was unironically a great frontman

post attractive and creative artists that achieved commercial success in the 00's

Yep. Look at Black Sabbath's lyrics and tell me that they're more mature than Linkin Park's.
