It's ok to think science and technology increases production, but the basic thing for progress/improvement is the social division of labor and private property.
The basis of right-wing view is that the organization of the society comes from the organization of the family, then you have other social instituitions that have it's own organizations but the basis is the family.
The human is a social being, as in living in society, cause it realized that the division of labor increases the production.
I dont know if i explained it, also there's more to be added that i currently dont know
