When will we fire Brownell?

Cincyfag here.

I'm surprised we're getting this kind of recognition for the conference we play in, but we do have a few >quality wins. Hope we can keep this up, but >muh free throws.

If we win out and win the conference tourney, could we realistically be ranked in the top 5 at the end of the season?

>inb4 2 seed, second round loss

The American is a pretty good conference desu

I still haven't got a good read on you guys yet. I like Caupain a lot, but I can't bring myself to like Evans or Washington and those are your two leading scorers. Hopefully you guys can get a few more challenges in conference play, I think that would be more beneficial than winning out. @SMU should be a tough one and that conference tourney is always a minefield.

>Evans
>Washington

Everytime either of them shoot a jumper, I hold my breath because their forms are so awful. A few games back one of the announcers said there were "a lot of NBA scouts" at the game, for Evans. I guess his size and athleticism for a wing makes him a good prospect, but another year or two in college would help him TREMENDOUSLY.

Come conference tourney/tourney time, don't be surprised when both of the above lay huge eggs and Troy simply wills us to a win because of his leadership and clutchness.

>See recent USF game

Jarron Cumberland is really starting to come on hot recently though and has been a nice surprise.

This is >allegedly (and I guess even statistically) the best offensive team Mick has had. For some reason I doubt that though. I haven't checked the numbers myself, but we've got a few huge blowouts. A lot of the games we play still feel like classic clunkers where we play defense and can't hit free throws for a game in the high 50s or 60s.

Should be interesting coming down the stretch.

I appreciate this thread being here but maybe get a new OP already.

>tfw get to btfo little brother again

This is the best offensive Cincy team I can remember, which isn't saying much. It's not pretty, but at least some shots go in because there's talent. It's slightly better than the get 1 basket for every 5 offensive rebounds brand of basketball that they used to try and win with.

Question?
Why don't we combine with /cfb/?
Neither has very much traffic right now

Because one has games and one doesn't?

/cfb/ is faster though even without games

Because it's two different sports autismo

Low traffic is fine. Threads don't get deleted unless there's a major event like last night. Basketball posts would just get lost in a combined thread.

yeah
but it's not like individually they have a ton of traffic
Plus since most basketball teams have a football team there's a lot of posters for both

I'm surprised one of those Sean Kilpatrick/Cashmere Wright teams wasn't better offensively though. Those were Live and Die By the Three though I guess.

If you want to talk about football then go to cfb if you want to talk about cbb stay here. Traffic is irrelevant

KU started the game like they didn't want to be there but they've stepped it up the past 8 min

I can't believe k state is putting some hick white boi on josh jackson

The difference is probably this year's team having a big who can shoot. I said I didn't love Washington, but he can space the floor a bit, which makes a huge difference compared to bigs who can only contribute on the glass.

Who's Iwundu guarding? He seems like the obvious matchup.

Svi

KU bringing the rape train now

I guess that's just the matchup problem that Jackson creates then. Wade probably has a better chance against Jackson than he does chasing Svi around the perimeter, but my guess is K-State will have to sit either Wade or Foster and go small in order to match up properly which isn't ideal for them.

Looks like they changed up the assignment for the second half

>Foster

Johnson I mean. Getting to that point in the season where I've watched so many teams I start mixing up names.

Why would you watch k state

28th in Kenpom and in the tournament as of right now. If I don't watch every tournament team at least a few times I feel uneasy about my bracket.

They'll be something like a 6 seed that loses in the sweet 16

No hickstorm this year!

I'm a UC student but still kind of new to basketball. Didn't really start giving a fuck about the sport until my junior year of HS since we had a state tier team that year, but were still a football first school. Still getting used to having basketball be the main focus instead of football at UC.

If we finish #7-8 this season, where would we get seeded for the tourney?

Rankings aren't the greatest indicators of seed since they have different criteria. In that scenario I'd guess that you'd get a 3 or 4 seed. There's not really a lot you guys can do to improve your resume during conference play because the AAC is filled with a bunch of okay but not great teams.

Alright.

Yeah, conference is okay at best it seems. SMU coming up will probably be the last real test on the schedule.

Just itching for playoffs time, I have high hopes, and it's nice to see my school actually do something other than be "that other school from ohio"

>receiving votes
>Oklahoma State 1

No? I'm just picking it cause it's generic. If you want something more topical, have someone else do it, cause I'll keep posting ones like that. So if you don't want me to, don't let me.

How badly are we gonna be blownout by Syracuse?

clemson/10

Why are we 3/30 in the first half...

Jawun is a beast, dunno why he doesn't get much national attention.

OVERTIME

TRIPLE OVERTIME

Why is Georgia Tech playing some D2 school today?

QUADRUPLE OVERTIME

Apparently no one wants to win this Bama/SCAR game. 4th OT

Everytime we get close we fall on our fucking faces
We'll finish 6-12 AT BEST
We won't even get into the NIT at this rate

Syracuse won

OF COURSE THOSE BALL BOY FUCKERS WON

God damn his wife is the hottest piece of ass on the planet

AKRON WITH THE BUZZER BEATER

I find it so hard to continue being a racist and still love college basketball.
I fuckin love black people when they place basketball

The first SMU game would've gone to overtime if Moore didn't choke at the buzzer, the game in Dallas should be really telling to where Cincy is at

Get fucked Cuse going all the way to the National title

SCar played like shit all game man that was awful to watch as a fan

He did at the start of the season after the Maui Invitational then 0-6 happens and he sucked during that games.
His draft stock will need some attention since he is going pro.

Oh, Big 12.

Only if you do meme scoring. 1 point for every game is the true gentleman's bracket.

>FSU beats Miami by double digits on the road
>FSU beats Clemson at home by 50
>Only go up one spot in rankings

What did the AP mean by this? I mean it's the AP rankings so who gives a shit, but still.

About to go watch us blow out NC State, should be fun.

>who gives a shit

Have you considered Miami and Clemson are both fucking terrible?

We're 20-4, motherfucker

Never leave 0.4 seconds on the clock against VCU, it doesn't work out well

Did we win?

kek

I'd say they're the luckiest fuckers ever but they still have to live in >Richmond so that's probably a reach

It ain't a Baylor basketball game if it doesn't come down to the end these days. It's like Florida State football in 2014, except we have our share of late daggers before the part where one ends the season.
