Why do people say He's a system qb?

Why do people say He's a system qb?

He's successfully run 4 different (at least) offensive systems in his time in the Pros and has been fantastic in all of them

Because they can. If Manning hadn't taken 4 different coaches to a Super Bowl then that would help. It also doesn't look good when every player that leaves the pats sucks on other teams.

Because some people are morons.

how so? the only time they deviated from their typical west coast offense was during the randy moss era.

They say it out of transparent jealousy and wanting an explanation to discredit his accomplishments.

You think other coaches might study the last 17 years of Patriots tape and figure out the "system" and attempt to duplicate their success?

Because they're mad as fuck retards and think it somehow discredits him that he has an offensive coordinator.

Could you imagine Peyton+Belichick?

They were a ground and pound run team early in his career, to a five wide air raid, to a two tight end balance attack to this off tackle modified west coast style

>manning took kubiak to the super bowl

don't understand what any of this means

they were never a five wide team, the hell are you talking about kid?

Peyton sucks in playoffs

>They say it out of transparent jealousy and wanting an explanation to discredit his accomplishments.
That's it.
9094 career post season pass yards, no one is even close.

2007, Moss, stallworth, Welker, gaffney and normally they'd have Watson split out from the line instead of putting in Washington

Neither do the people that call him a system QB

do you know what five wide means? it means five wide receivers.

Yea I know what it means, if you split the the off the line with 4 other receivers out there you now have 5 fucking receivers

Whenever there is a common thread in a great athlete's career idiots can point to it and say he's shit because he couldn't win without it.
I guess in Brady's case it's Belichick and his pathologic footballing autism.

>it takes years to understand this offense

i.e. five players separated from the line of scrimmage

WIDE receivers. that's a specific name that refers to a specific position.

If you have five pass catchers outside with nobody in a TE or RB position, it's considered a 5 wide formation regardless of personnel

you do realise that you can line up a TE or a RB as a WR, right?

His roster title doesn't fucking matter if he's playing as essentially a wide receiver

The pattern is the same whether it's a split out te or another wide receiver

If Brady is a system QB then so is Montana and Rodgers by the definition ppl label it.

And it's double for Montana and Rodgers since Walsh and McCarthy are Offensive head coaches.

that specific position is lining up split from the offensive line, how daft are you

then you're talking about an individual play, not an entire offensive scheme. a "five wide air raid" scheme means you plan to beat your opponents by overwhelming them with speed.

You trying to say Ben Watson wasn't fast as fuck?

He was Jimmy Graham before Jimmy Graham

Jesus Christ, you're arguing the most pointless semantics and you aren't even right.

Montana is absolutely a system QB and the beneficiary of a stickem babby.

no, i'm trying to say that wide receiver is an actual fucking position in the game of football, not an arbitrary nickname. and the five wide formation gets its name from having five wide receivers on the field, with nobody in the slot and nobody in the backfield.

My dude, a WR is literally anyone split off from the offensive line eligible for a pass. You have clearly never played football. Yes, there are people who specialize in playing as a wide receiver, but you can have literally anyone with an eligible jersey number do the job and they're still considered a WR.

That doesn't fucking matter, if you have 5 people lined up as receivers it doesn't matter what their roster spot says, in terms of the rules of the game they're fucking receivers

You define player's position by how they line up pre snap and what their role is on the play.

Not by the label on their Madden profile.

this thread really sums up the level of nfl knowledge on this board

Nah, it just sums up that there's one autist in this thread that thinks you aren't running 5 wide receivers because one of those receivers might be an RB or a TE

you're all wrong. the whole fucking point of five wide formation is speed. that's why it's ONLY used for gains of 15 yards or more. you can line up a tight end at the edge if you want. but that doesn't mean your whole fucking offensive scheme is five wide. five wide means speed.

...

jesus christ

five wide means five players split from the offensive line, please accept this.

he did win that conference game against the pats

>that's why it's ONLY used for gains of 15 yards or more
so all those times that teams go empty backfield on 3rd and 1, those were all in our collective imagination?

at this point i hope you're trolling

You are the most retarded poster on Sup Forums.

Pretty much this tbqhf

five wide is a passing formation that implies five wide receivers are on the field. most teams have 6 WRs, so they can insert a running back or tight end to create a FOUR wide formation if need be. but a five wide air raid scheme is not that.

>five wide means speed

its just grasping at straws
