rivers > fouts
Adrian Nelson
>no Eli
Carter Taylor
i really hate the brett favre meme. he was a good player but nowhere near good enough to be mentioned among elite names that dominated at the qb position. people just throw him into the discussion because he was a very likable guy >le wiley old gunslinger
Camden Moore
shut up youngfag, you clearly dont remember 90's Favre where he was unquestioned the best qb in the league for three straight seasons
Tyler Campbell
he made too many mistakes, threw important games at the end with bad throws and picks. thats why people liked him though because he was entertaining but thats not really good reason to include him in lists of the best of the best to play the game
Nolan Gonzalez
its an entertainment business, so best = most entertaining that's why he's the goat
only other players should give a shit about how good they are, since they're involved in the winning/losing
Andrew Turner
Tebow > Elway
Christopher Miller
Weirdly, I think Warner is the Cards' best QB as well as the Rams best QB
David Hughes
Rodgers > Favre
Brayden King
Cutler is better than McMahon
Jayden Adams
wrong
right
Jaxson Stewart
>The Green Bay Packers have had 25 years of Favre and Rodgers >3 SB trips, 2 rings and numerous chokes to show for it
The franchise should get more shit for that desu
Colton Ross
>fouts over rivers
the fuck
Blake Hill
Colts have drafted 4 Quarterbacks #1 overall since 1983 and have one championship to show for it
thats way worse
Joshua Turner
Trust me we know. Fanbase has been calling for heads to roll for years.
They still haven't fucking fired Capers.
Benjamin Barnes
good list. choices that could be debated: >Ken O'Brien vs. Namath >Hasselbeck vs. Krieg >Rodgers vs. Favre >Bradshaw vs. Big Ben also, should the world explode and the Lions win the Super Bowl ever, Matt Stafford > Bobby Layne. But only if.
Michael Clark
>tfw they are right on track to ruin Luck's career
Fold them already.
Austin Adams
Statistically speaking, the greatest Bears QB is Jay Cutler. He holds the team records for:
>completions >Passing TDs >Passing Yards >QBR >300 yard passing games >Most times sacked (251)
The only QB records he *doesn't* hold are completion % (Shane Matthews) and interceptions (Sid Luckman).
Joseph Price
at least they didn't draft Leaf with one of them.
Jacob Martin
we can't compare today's jacked-up QB raw stats with the older guys' other than did they lead the league, were they top 3 or 5, etc.
James Garcia
sadly this
mcmahon was a meme qb that was always hurt
without those defenses in the mid 80's he would basically be kyle orton
Adam Ortiz
he averaged like 1800 yards and 8 td a year for the bears he was bad for his era
Camden Jenkins
Jay, Sid, or Jim?
Robert Davis
But McMahon sucked even for his era.
Also Eli > Phil Simms
Christopher Mitchell
jim
Michael Anderson
cutler sucks for his era too though
John Peterson
>Packers- Brett Favre
I think Rodgers might surpass him...
Benjamin King
>Ravens- Joe Flacco >Colts- Peyton Manning
Hold up, which one gets Johnny U?
Kayden Flores
the colts, If you want to say Johnny Unitas is better I wont blame you but I give it to Peyton.
Oliver Cruz
ah well. some franchises just don't get the good QBs... now I'm on board with the "Cutler = bess Burrs QB" sentiment.
Peyton surpassed Johnny a long time ago
Liam White
I think Luckman is the only bears QB in the hall of fame
Dominic Mitchell
I do remember the 90's and Favre was always overrated.
Sebastian Stewart
This is actually pretty spot on, but Cutler should get the nod over McMahon.
Camden Price
Not OP, but I'm gonna add a new wrinkle and make it merger-era only. Greatness ranked within each division too. See what you think.
>AFCE Brady Marino Kelly O'Brien
>AFCN Anderson Roethlisberger Sipe Flacco
>AFCS P. Manning Moon Brunell Schaub
>AFCW Elway Rivers Dawson Stabler
>NFCE Staubach McNabb E. Manning Theismann
>NFCN Rodgers Tarkenton Cutler Stafford
>NFCS Brees Ryan Newton Johnson
>NFCW Montana Warner Hart Hasselbeck
Jeremiah Sanchez
>AFCE >Brady >Marino >Kelly >Namath
Holy shit, is the rest of the NFL even trying? GOAT Division for QB play
Liam Foster
>Falcons- Matt Ryan no
Cameron Nelson
>the best Bucs QB EVER is Brad fucking Johnson Honestly they should feel happy as fuck about having that one ring, because if you take that season away they're the worst franchise in the history of football and it's not even close.
Bentley Reed
they are the arizona diamondbacks of the nfl
Evan Scott
t. Madden '04 babby who still thinks Vick was a good QB
Dylan Sanders
I think he's talking about Brett Favre.
Ethan Gomez
You don't understand. The Bears have literally never had a good QB. >Our history goes back roughly 100 years, we have more wins than any other NFL team, more HoFers than any NFL team....but not even one good QB. You think it's a coincidence that our team has been mediocre since it became a "passing league"? Or that our most recent SB appearance was ruined by a mediocre QB?
We don't know how to draft them, and to be blunt, we don't appreciate them. When we played street football in my childhood, nobody cared about who was QB. What mattered was being the RB or the LB. It's like a fundamental missing component in our culture, Illinois is all about that old-timey tough mindset. You see the same thing in other sports, too. When was the last time Illinois produced a NBA player who was clever and not just a freak of nature (a la Wade/Rose)?
Carter Campbell
And that one season was essentially just Gruden playing chess against himself and then saying "I'm gonna stick with this one" when it got to the point where victory was obvious for one side
Jordan Taylor
Well the Diamondbacks are like 20 years younger at least. Consider this, outside of their Superbowl year, the Bucs have exactly two playoff wins. Ever. In their entire history.
Xavier Fisher
Hold up, son. The original 5-time champ, coming through.
Jaxson Gutierrez
The Broncos have won 2 more super bowls with colt's drafted qbs. The colts are like a slow moving natural disaster
Ryan Myers
can we agree Brad Johnson is the weak link on that list?
Owen James
>all these idiots saying krieg and hasselbeck yeah they were good but wilson is objectively better than both
Jaxon King
This
Wilson is the best QB to ever play in Seattle
He's already 4th in yards and tds for Seattle QBs with only 5 seasons played
By the time his career is over he will have all the records for the team for sure
Jayden White
Rodgers and Stafford are better than Favre and Layne at this point.
Robert Morgan
>fouts I fucked his niece
Logan Green
American perception of greatness in sports, everyone. No wonder you elected as clown like Donald Trump
Brody Russell
You should have fucked his face, at least then something substantive would have come from his fucking mouth
Kevin Richardson
I just wish Bears would go to the superbowl for the memes.
Jordan Bailey
kek
Jordan Green
Cardinals is Kurt Warner you goof
Adam Long
>all this overrating of oldcucks
Hudson Edwards
This.
Chase Butler
on the contrary I think there is too much recency bias itt
Lucas Campbell
some of those franchises need to take a long hard look in the mirror
Carter Wright
It's really a close call, I would put Rivers over Fouts tho. >3 HoF caliber QBs >0 (zero) SBs >Chargers
Also, isn't Eli statistically better than Simms?
>mfw 1983, 2004 and 2008 have multiple entries
Juan Brown
passing stats have inflated a lot since the 80's
Nicholas Barnes
True, but Simms also comes from an era in which the passing game started to pick up (Air Coryell, West Coast). I mean, Jim Kelly, Dan Fouts, Dan Marino and John Elway all put big numbers, equally or even better than today's passers.
Oliver Wood
Ravens, Unitas was loyal to Baltimore.
Jason Brooks
Sorry guys, but the best quarterback to wear purple is brett favre
Henry Diaz
Nobody can seriously think Kreig or Hassellbeck is better than Russell Wilson.
Benjamin Fisher
>the last time the Browns had a good QB, Stalin was still alive
Can't make this shit up
Samuel Carter
Cutler is elite desu
Parker Taylor
Bernie Kosar was pretty good.
Robert Butler
How long until Carr passes Stabler?
Elijah Ward
>Seahawks- Dave Krieg >Packers- Brett Favre
Elijah Richardson
>Krieg over Wilson and Hasselbeck
Julian Jones
Hasselbeck was above an above average QB, who looked good because he was carried by Shaun Alexander
Shaun Alexander was also an above average RB, who racked up stats was carried by a GOAT left side of the O-Line
Austin Cruz
Hasselbeck was a more than just above average and he usually had ABSOLUTE SHIT in his receiving corps, he would get all day to throw to receivers that couldn't catch
