It's as bad as it looks

I played football at the (very corrupt) University of Louisville with the Heisman and now I'm headed to the NFL AMA

what position

Why did Wake Forest cuck itself for you?

How many hookers did they give you during recruiting?

I was hoping to avoid questions that narrow down who I am. If I answer that then it eliminates the options down to one of two people at my position and entering the draft from Louisville.

Does anybody respect Bobby Petrino?

The entire program was much more involved than the media let on. That's why we got a lot of heat as compared to other teams that took information (obviously also because we got caught). Our OC was just the scapegoat for the suspension since he was the easiest explanation for it being as bad as it was. And I 100% that Grantham was fired rather than he just found a new place where he wanted to work.

Not a single person, He comes down on everybody that is below him, on the team or on the staff. Doesn't matter, you are getting cussed out if he thinks you did something wrong.

None unfortunately. Basketball is a whole new level at Louisville. We don't even really see them on campus, they might as well be a pro team.

Are there any other schools you were taking information from?

How did playing for Charlie Strong differ from playing for Petrino?
They seem different as night and day.

Is Rick Pitino a slimeball

Not that I know of unless they made it part of the gameplan without notifying us. Except one of the conference games where they were supposed to give us a surprise onside kick that never happened. And that could've just been the coaches trying to get some more focus out of us by saying something was going to happen even though they didn't really know. Wake Forrest was special just because of that connection that our OC had with that radio dude, but Grantham (DC) probably milked that guy for everything he had and I think that's why he isn't around anymore.

The offense's whole philosophy was we were going to play our game and make everyone else adjust to us so nothing to drastic changed from week to week there, aside from accounting for standout players on the other team.

Transferred in from another school and was recruited by Petrino so I never played for Strong. But the guys who did spoke of him like it was the glory days when he was there. Would still talk about his progress at Texas and everything.

He definitely seems like the basketball version of Petrino. Just yelling at everybody until he gets his way.

Going to be away for about an hour. I'll respond to anything else when I get back

Do you hang out with the UK players

I grew up in the ville, just wondering what your thought of the city in general was? did you spend anytime in the highlands?

No, we've ended up at the same parties sometimes maybe but I don't know anybody who is actively hanging with any of them, with the exception of two teammates who grew up playing at the same school as a couple UK guys.

A lot of great places to eat, most people are generally kind. It's strange and cool how they are able to spot us football players in the midst of everyone else and even UK fans will approach and say hi (even though they'll let us know they root for UK). Used to go to Fourth Street all the time until they shut down that one bar that most of the college kids would go to. I thought St. Matt's bars were pretty nice also, they have a decent night life out there. To be completely honest, I haven't heard of or ever been to the highlands, or maybe I have and don't remember. What is out that way?

Devonte Fields why were you such a shithead in Fort Worth and will you continue to be a shithead should an NFL team fuck around and take a chance on you?

There is A TON of shitheads on the team more than any other team I've been a part of but Fields is definitely not one of them. Guys are really impulsive and have no sense of discipline and everything has to be a dick-measuring competition with a lot of my teammates that I had there, but Fields was one of the few who was genuinely decent hearted and seemed to care about something outside of himself.

I was really surprised when I heard the reason he transferred was because he pulled a gun on someone. He was understandably emotional because he caught a good friend of his with his girlfriend in the act. That doesn't justify a gun at all but I don't think he is that guy anymore. That being said, him and maybe 15% of the team own guns and that's just trouble waiting to happen obviously.

Why are you doing this AMA? For fun or is there a point that you feel important to make?

I bet you wont be drafted.

If by some miracle you are, please fuck up your raiders interview.

We dont need a literal Sup Forums autist on the team.

>We

Yes i said we. I buy tickets and merch and misc items that is then used as revenue for the owner to pay the players. we WE WE

A little bit for fun and a little bit more because I severely resent choosing there as where I wanted to play college football. As I said before in the thread, I transferred to Louisville from another division 1 school. So I kinda went through the recruiting process twice and I definitely feel like I made the wrong decision twice.

The first school I chose was because I was all but forced into a commitment by my Dad because he thought he was doing the right thing for me, I ended up loving my teammates, liking the school, and hating my position coach (head coach was one of the best I ever had but you don't interact with him nearly as much as your position coach). I was optimistic at a new beginning when my mistakes opened up the opportunity for me to find another school and Petrino thoroughly convinced me that Louisville is where my new beginning would happen.

Couldn't have been more of the opposite. I hated most of my teammates, hated the school, and hated Petrino more than any other authority figure I've ever had, much less coach. My position coach was ok but he had no choice but to play by Petrino's rules so there wasn't much help there. I had jumped out of the pan and into the fire and was getting a degree worth exponentially less than what my previous school would've given me. The environment quickly rehashed bad habits but I stayed away from getting caught this time, which only made me as a person even worse.

Now I'm clinging to the hope of making it to what I used to think was my dream job of the NFL and if I get there it will be Louisville who gets most of the credit for making me the player I am now. I guess I'm making this thread to say that they don't deserve any of it, and they don't deserve any of the success they are currently seeing, it's all bullshit yet people call Petrino a mastermind. (Lamar will be milked for all he's worth and then spit out, just watch, he's nothing more than higher value slave to them)

But I do take responsibility for my mistakes. I didn't make it any easier on myself with some of the things that I did while in college football.

I won't be drafted, If I make it then it'll be undrafted forsure. All I want is to be invited to any rookie camp and then I'll feel like the last five years of my life weren't wasted getting brain damage and becoming a narcissist playing college football.

How do you feel about Lamar Jackson? Do you think he can make it as a QB in the pros?

Did you enjoy gutting Florida State this past season?

You are talking in well thought out sentences, so there is actually no way you went to UL. Nice try though faggot.

Can you give me the initials of the Louisville guy? I think I may know who you are referencing.

>I was optimistic at a new beginning when my mistakes opened up the opportunity for me to find another school
was the backlash for giving up the Hail Mary to Auburn THAT bad?

Nice one Lex

how much ass does an average d1 football player pull? and how easy is it for you guys yo pull it?

Best athlete I've played with in person and can fuckin fling the ball. If he sacrifices some of that athleticism for 20 or 30 more pounds, then ya he'll play as a QB.

Best part of the season. Better than orlando, clemson, and all the rest by far.

Literally one of the reasons I used to hate some of my teammates and why a couple didn't like me. I'd try talking like I was from Florida sometimes but end up with everyone looking at me sideways, like I deserved.

JQ and RB

I'm not Josh but nice try.

I'm extra introverted and have never cold-approached a girl in my life but I smashed 12 girls during college and I'd say all of them were because I was on the team. Plus I had a girlfriend for two and a half of those years so it probably could've been more. Other guys could bag a chick just about every weekend and sometimes more but word spreads quick when a dude is running around being a dog and the better looking girls stop messing with those guys eventually.

Looking back, what program would you have liked to play for?

Iowa, they were my dream school when I was a kid. I was over the fucking moon when I got offered by them and a bunch of my high school friends were going there. Plus the position I play went to shit the year I started playing in college so I would've waltzed right the fuck into a playing situation. I don't think my pops would've been too happy if I chose there though.

Sounds like you missed out, sorry man. Hope the NFL works out for you.

In the losses Louisville had it looked like everyone but Lamar Jackson gave up after the team was down.

Is that part of the reason you hated your teammates? They just seemed tilted as fuck without their head in the game.

You seem like a pretty chill dude op. Besides Lamar, which player(s) wowed you the most im person?

We were injured pretty bad towards the end of the year when we got all those losses (cliche excuse, i know but it's true), especially the defense. On offense, it looked like Lamar had no help because he pretty much didn't. The offensive line coach/co-offensive coordinator, who has since been demoted and reassigned to tight ends, was awful. He had no idea how to extract any toughness or grit from our relatively soft O-line.

The wide receivers were all divas, but that's not exactly groundbreaking in football. The problem was none of them felt any pressure to be pushed because the coaches (Petrino) had their favorites and the favorites would be played and given the highlighted routes every play. Even after they dropped balls and even after they would half-ass it, the favorites always got the most burn. Running backs were decent but got very underutilized because Lamar was Lamar and he accounted for most of the running yardage. Any running plays that were called usually were some type of read and L would pull the ball every time because he was trying to make a play; even when it was a designated handoff play he would pull the ball and run it himself and nobody ever corrected him.

All in all, the attitude in the locker room changed when we were consistently ranked in the top 10 and we started to stop giving a shit about getting right on the field and enjoyed the fruits of being highly ranked off the field too much.

But the biggest reason I hated some of my teammates was because of general ignorance. It drove me up a wall to watch most of my team be walking stereotypes of what most racist people hate about black people. I'm black too and I used to do as much as I could to stay away from that cancer attitude of "I am the fucking man and everybody should know it" but it definitely rubbed off on me a bit because I also hate being the god damn oreo in a group.

Some guys would brag to each other about licks they hit over the weekend (theft) and everyone would be truly impressed with how much of a fuck they didn't give. Others would talk about how they are getting some poor kid to do their papers or whatever for them, while they pretended to be friends just to get the free work out of them. One dude actually cussed out our head trainer because he wanted to dry needle him in order to help his strained hamstring recover. He was actually aiding him and all the dumbass could see was that he was trying to put a needle in his leg. That bad. Just a total lack of awareness and proud of it too in a way.

I can't think of anything else. And it wasn't everyone, but it was a lot.

Did they even make you go to classes?

Favorite NFL player?

What made you want to pursue football as a career?

Appreciate it man. Means a lot actually.

One of our corners, Cornelius Sturghill is the fastest dude I've ever seen. He ran a 4.19 during our spring testing and they reported it to the media as a 4.20 because that was more believable. Didn't play this season because he got shot in his foot during the offseason.

Sheldon Rankins was a D tackle that is in the league now. Our weak O-line literally (and I do mean literally) could not block him in practice and he would just do what he wanted on the field. Went through some injuries his first year in the league but he will be big one day

Vonte Parker, who is on the dolphins now was a complete freak and I only saw him for one season while he was battling a foot injury all year but that dude was the real deal and surprisingly humble. And honorable mention: JaQuay Savage is almost just as good as Vonte but will never make it because he can't get out of his own way, drinks too much and is too dramatic. But that kid will jump over someone and one hand it like it's fucking madden.

Would you consider playing in another league if you don't make the NFL? I know there's a bunch of neat countries you could play in and getting to travel might be cool if you're into that.

How does acquiring pain killers work? Either pills from team doctors or scripts? What kind?

Almost everybody takes online classes and most guys have mandatory study hall a few times a week. So most of our "class" is just showing up to study hall and getting the work done there. We have four full-time academic advisors that work in the football learning center and tudors are always floating around our there too and they're all there to hold everyones hand through the work if they need it, a lot of guys do.

For the guys who are extra slow, they are sent to our "learning specialist" where all they have to do is at least show up and she will do the work for them.

What is specifically so bad about Petrino?

Hello M!! (did i guess right?)

How much/what kind of star treatment did lamar get? How was he in person, chill, diva?

The players I enjoy watching the most are ODB, Le'veon Bell, and Antonio Brown, I don't really have a favorite player.

My dad played in the League in the 80's and his job afterwards was tied to the marketing side of the team he played for. I never was alive while he played but I definitely grew up surrounded by football culture. A scholarship to a division 1 school was just kinda always the goal as soon as I started playing in the 5th grade. I enjoyed being able to make friends easily with sports and it made it way easier to get along with girls. And when I got the scholarship offers then I realized that the NFL was a realistic possibility.

However, at this point, football is just something that I'm good at and I know I need to see it through, my love for the game was lost a long time ago and I know it is not going to return probably but an opportunity to make money like this might never come again and I'd regret it if I didn't try.

>my love for the game was lost a long time ago
y

As a saints fan, I know, Sheldon is a beast, I've seen him in practice tear up Max Unger, shame about his injury but he'll be back next season

No, it's the NFL or bust with football. I actually had a bunch of agents ask me if I would consider the CFL but I'm done with football if this doesn't work. I need to stay healthy.

I'm done with having my eyesight go wonky every now and then. I've had three concussions already and my equilibrium will randomly just go haywire sometimes. It's time to move on if this opportunity doesn't pan out.

Your opinion on super bowl 51?

What do you think about Kyle Bolin.? I went to high school with him. Is he still a fag?

They're VERY careful about this. They keep a select amount in the training room for emergencies; muscle relaxers and such for full body cramps and stuff like that. Otherwise, you have to go through seeing the doctor, trying ibuprofen first, and then if it's severe enough then they'll write you a script but you don't have to pay a dime, it's on the university for any medical expenses.

Most obnoxious player on the team?

It's just painfully clear that, in his eyes, everyone is seen as just an asset instead of a person. I was told he unfairly pulled some scholarships from right underneath some guys when he came in and replaced strong. We only see him on the practice field and almost never see him around the facilities, if we do pass by him between meetings or something, then you'll be lucky to get a cold hello with barely any eye-contact. And it's cliche, but I don't think I got as much playing time as I deserved and he made sure my position coach wouldn't do anything to change that. Despite him claiming to have a bigger role during each offseason.

Nothing to monumental, Lamar didn't let it go to his head that much. He is only 19, which I think helped big time. Other than looking the other way when he was late sometimes, nothing bothered me about how he was treated differently. Also, I don't know forsure but I wouldn't be surprised at all if boosters padded the mess out of his wallet.

People HOUND him in public but he is nice to everyone and will take a picture and all that stuff too. Very chill guy, I've hung out with him, a couple of my teammates, and Mary J on a few occasions. Funny as fuck and not a diva in the slightest

Sorry, try again

It's tough going from star player in high school to scout team redshirt who isn't playing in games. At that point, it felt like I was just showing up to my job when I went in for meetings, lifting, and practice. It felt like there was no point because I wasn't playing in the games on Saturday. Even though I played more later in my career, it always felt like a 9-5 from that point forward.

Same as everyone else's: One of the best Super Bowls ever, Falcons continue to always choke, Tom Brady is likely the best to ever do it.

I thought he was a decent dude but he tried a little bit too hard sometimes and it was cringey. Nothing truly bad to say about him though

Jaylen Smith. Or Michael Dyer by a landslide when he was there.

Thanks, this was really great! (non-ironic exclamation point) Enjoyed you guys but I'm going to sleep

Thanks bro

Thanks for the AMA

This was pretty neat. Hope you make it!

Thanks for being real and taking time to do this. Good luck in your future endeavors pham.

This is the most civilised ama I have ever seen on Sup Forums.
Kinda makes me sad.

Damn that's nuts you're already getting those types of side effects. Football really fucks your shit up. Well, good luck dude. Let us know how training camp and such goes.

>nazis eager to initiate a war
typical.
