Anyone else love this movie?

Anyone else love this movie?

The world building and pacing is great. Makes you feel like it could actually happen.

yea although every year ive watched it ive gotten more depressed about how im actually living it although im american and not living in cool london anymore.

Really reminds me of half life 2

>a movie trying to force the falsehood that a nigger will do any good for mankind

Solid 8/10. As you said, it does a great job creating that world for us. And the babby scene makes me cry errtime.

> Black woman is the saviour of mankind
> Dude old man w33d LMAO
> Protagonist is an interracial cuck
> Muh england is evil for being mean to the floods of immigrants who explicitly fucked up their own countries

Still pretty good film yeah

Clive owen was pretty much the savior and it honestly doesn't matter shes black. She could be anything its a dystopian fiction scifi

Well if that's dystopian, the future of inbred black people will make for an even more dire sequel

This is a bait thread. Just so you know. They work in teams.

Well made stuff

>Protagonist is an interracial cuck
Eh, no. his choice of friend and gf is still white

fat losers hate this movie because the director is a beaner

they think only whites can make good movies but in reality jews make the best directors

more like menchild

i dont get it

Wow no shit! I'm Hispanic and that's pretty cool, I'v always loved this movie, something about, so that's really cool to find out.

it really didn't need the infertility sub-plot.
it's totally believable that the world would go to shit like this without a made up sci-fi issue

The world building of this movie is shit. If you stop to consider half the positions established in the movie it falls flat on its face.

It's even worse than the painful 'children of Africa' black woman's baby is saving the world angle. Bonus points for the fact that the saviour baby in and of itself is poor world building. Having a 1 in a billion fertility rate doesn't change the fact that the species is doomed.

There are certainly good aspects to the film but not the world building.

Imagine a movie where the sun is dying, burning out for whatever contrived reason, and as humanity tears itself apart in desperate fear the protagonist looks up as the sun fades to dark in the daytime and as the last light dies they strike a match. Every goes 'Ooh! Ahh! Such symbolism, beacon of hope, praise Allah' but anyone with any idea how the world works thinks 'And? Shit is just as fucked.'

That's Children of Men.

And that's even before you take a second to consider the apparent social and political situation which makes about as much sense.

Oh my god why can't people just be nice to the fighting age males invading in droves and getting away with anything they want? Just because they hate our people and way of life doesn't mean we should be mean!

>And the babby scene makes me cry errtime.
me too. its propably the most intense moment I've ever seen in a movie.

Your metaphor doesn't work and you're a moron. What this is called is a glimpse of hope.

Same.

>No substance
This seems like a good movie for you, enjoy.

Not really. It was pretty shit imho.

>muh nigger kid is humanity's last hope
Disgusting.

>Makes you feel like it could actually happen.
Well it more or less already started happening in Europe.

If the kid was English there would be no plot.
>English woman is pregnant
>Government takes good care of her
>Baby's born, everyone's happy
>gr8 movie
The driving element of the movie's plot is the fact she is an immigrant so she needs the protagonist as an escort and the terrorist organization wants to keep it secret to the government because they claim they will manipulate the story. Of course, your obsessions won't let you move along from the point she is black.

No one is even sure what is going to happen after they are done. Everyone has a miracle in front of them and want to protect it/ take advantage of it, not sure how everything's going work out or what will happen. Around that 1 in one 1 billion fertility evidence, the baby, a dystopia is built. Your metaphor is semi accurate except the fact it doesn't try to say that it saved them. The protagonist dies a rather simple death, on a boat, in the middle of nowhere, with ship coming as the uncertain hope. There's no metaphor in it.

Is there a worse place to endure the apocalypse than Britain?

what pisses me off is that britain would be the last with a standing gov
wtf, britain is literally swarmed with ackbars
there's no way stability would remina with their 25% muslim pop

My fucking god, how people like you even live?

I tried to give it a fair shot but it just felt so fucking forced. I laughed out load at the slow pan around to the uber preggo nog.

anyone else remember how patrician michael cane's taste in music was?

>dat scene where he had radiohead then played afex twin after smoking that dank

I don't know user. Africa, india, south america? Doesn't get into extreme temperatures, big island, no natural big predators (besides man, which isn't so bad because lolnogunz), with just the right ammount of isolation. And aside from london its not that densely populated. Pretty good place to wait out an apocalypse.

The ship she was heading for was filled with the world's best and brightest scientists who were working on a 'cure'. Surely the implication is that she gets to the boat and they study her to determine how the fuck she's pregnant when apparently no one else is, and then they might (might) be able to figure the whole global infertility thing out.

My guess is that she isn't literally the only pregnant woman in the world (even though pregnancy is now a super extreme rarity) and the scientists are trying to find as many as they can and study them in secret, away from all the batshit crazy governments/militants/fundamentalists who now rule the world. Even if they *can't* make everyone everywhere in the world fertile again, there's still hope that humanity might be able live on and start again if they can get even a fairly small number of pregnancies, which is better than the whole race going totally extinct in a few decades.
