It actually wasn't. As a game, it was good; good controls, great level design, great music.
But as a Sly game, it wasn't great at all. The story countered everything that was built up over three games, the characters and their motivations were weak, the villains were the worst. Terribly forgettable, super weak motivations, and the ending hardly resolved anything.
