Every athlete that has ever won and not been caught has not been caught yet.
This isn't even about bashing top tier athletes, it's just at an almost certainty level that they're on juice if they have won in the Olympics.
Winning comes down to a few things:
>Training
>Genetics
>Work ethic
>Accessibility
>PEDs
If you have a great work ethic, access to facilities, great training, and top tier genetics, you can do extremely well, maybe even qualify for the Olympics in your discipline of choice.
But if you want to enter world-beater status, you need the PEDs to beat everyone else who also has genetics+ethics+training. And they're useful in every sport, too. From needing literally an extra millimeter to make that clean and jerk, to needing that extra millimeter in the 100m freestyle, to being able to have your blood cells ferry as much oxygen as possible in your cycle race.
Tbh, I wish that taking PEDs wasn't as taboo as it is so that athletes can be open about it instead of being forced to lie. I much rather the IOC embrace it than shame them.
