Anything similar to this beautiful album pls?

The only thing that sounds somewhat similar to me is TKOL-era Radiohead and Thom Yorke side-projects.

cold house and outside closer by hood

ty matie

is it /3rd wave post-rock/?

no, it's acoustic guitars with synths and glitchy hip-hop samples

Dntel - Life Is Full of Possibilities

I was asking since 3rd wave post-rock is not exactly my favourite thing, ty

looks cool friendo danke

if only they didn't have the worst singer in the universe

there's another great band connected to their whole collective (i think they share some members) called Lali Puna

>the worst singer in the universe
the fuck you're talking about?

oh crap, lali puna is related to these guise? i didn't know that even if i knew lali puna by name

thanks for the science user

maybe it's because I'm German, but his accent and they way he sings trigger the fuck out of me. It's really unpleasant for me.

hey by any chance could you recommend some nice music from the DDR? just anything, i am really interested

Do you mean music, that was created while the DDR still existed? I was born after the wall fell and I feel like DDR culture never played a big role in West Germany.

Nina Hagen is probably the most famous artist who originated from the DDR, but I think she crossed over in the late 70s.

ps: don't have many ways to find music from the DDR since RYM only filters music as /german/

there are some things in this blogspot by sovietsam tho sovietsam.blogspot.com/

I meant like, music from the DDR while it existed, yeah. Music from, for example, Socialist Poland is really easy to find but DDR seems like a mystery, there is nothing to be found

there's an article in the German wikipedia about music in the DDR:

de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musik_der_DDR

to be honest, most of these names don't ring any bell for me. Also the government censored and controlled the music industry tightly, so it's no surpise that there's not that much to find.

>not posting the most obvious

I didn't know Ben Gibbard sideprojects were a thing. To be honest the only thing I enjoy about DCFC is their slowcore post-rockish

wet

slowcore post-rockish Transatlanticism*

Broadcast! Listen to any of their albums and be taken away.

I already knew them. I have listened to the two most popular ones (The Noise Made By People & Tender Buttons) and to my remembering (which isn't good) they aren't very much alike. Prolly will give them a new listen soon.
