Deserved way more credit than it got. Phenomenal movie and the best thing Howard's done this century.

Drake to play Hamilton in sequel when?

Leo will OBVIOUSLY play Rosberg.
>implying Rosberg isn't actually DiCaprio's alterego on weekends, in the greatest, ongoing performance of his life.

No but seriously the film was dissapointing.
Peter Morgan way way overrated as a writer.
The pacing sucked.
They used a fucking title-card to announce Lauda's first championship instead of using it as a first half climax.

Production Design was phenomenal.
Casting was incredible.

The cinematography suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.
They had digital noise in shots.
Digital... Noise... in a 1970's film shot on Super Baltar lenses

>Harmony Korine's DOP, what did I expect.
>I like Korine, but that DOP's style wasn't suited to this film.

Excellent movie
Bruhl was great

This docu was pretty solid. Although it feels like a fucking snuff film.

>Sylvester did it better

But it's really good.

I kinda agree. The cinematography wasn't the best, not terrible IMO but not so special either. Great idea on the sequel by the way.

>driven
>good

Off yourself please

GP2

Fuck off.
Super Formula = Best Junior Formula.

The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
>ywn pray to baby jesus with your 10/10 american wife and children Texas and Walker

>Racing kino

Ah come on it was fun. And it had good racing scenes. The story was kind of shit, buuuut not shitty enough to leave it.

That was so terrible.

But then again if you're a F1 fan your standards are super low anyway.

>old Monza
>Cigar cars

HNGGGGGGGG
HEY ANYONE GOT A TOWEL?

>no mention of Senna

You're all tasteless cunts

Fugg this looks good

essential women will never understand core

Literally just find the movie thanks to you user. Looks great, gonna check it some time.

Rush is horrible. It's like a 2 hour trailer.

Days of Thunder is ultimate racing kino.
Senna is glorious documentarykino.

With Chris Hemsworth in this movie i think plenty of girls gonna attracted anyway.

doesn't matter
they can't understand it

Damn Leo, you magnificient bastard

It doesn't help that F1 is boring crap. Nascar FTW if you want some excitement

>Super Formula
>""junior"" formula

le one race every 2 months with races that often manage to be even more of a progression of boredom than F1

GP2 is PURE RACING KINO

literally the best and most entertaining racing series currently in existence. Only F1 can surpass it, and F1 only surpasses it on very rare, extremely meme-tastic episodes (Hungary 2015, USA 2015 etc, 2012 as a season, pre-Schumi wins everything seasons of the 90s)

GP2 is GOAT

kek sure

>not already flat out on the straight

yes, drivers really are just cruising and only go full throttle for that extra power when they need to overtake

sick racing lines too

Indycar is where its at when it comes to American series'. Indycar is faster, has more track variations, less plebby, has some actual rules (can't just push a car off the track and call it "great racing"

NASCAR in general is just pretty fucking shit and it certainly doesn't help that all but 2 races are on ovals. I get the appeal of oval racing and it is actually pretty exciting but the ovals are for the most part quite similar so it gets repetitive.

chad vs autismo

Was okay I guess, the "f1 has a movie now" statement is true but outside that statement it was a forgettable rivalry movie.

Too white and masculine to be praised.

Friendly reminder that Hunt ONLY won that title by virtue of Lauda almost dying and missing several races. Lauda was nowhere near his prime when he returned either. And even then Hunt almost managed to choke away the title to the point that he hadn't clinched it by the final round.

Literally Maldonado-tier with a likable personality. In true 1-vs-1 he would never have beaten Lauda and Lauda probably isn't even in the top 10 greatest F1 drivers

Probably the luckiest championship since maybe Keke Rosberg (although Keke is a decent driver, its just that his title was won in the most random season with Villeneuve dying and Pironi almost killing himself). Hunt's true class and driving ability was shown by his results after his title. Lauda in the meanwhile went on to win much more.

>chad vs autismo
We don't have enough of those movies.
As user said earlier, probably too problematic since Chad and Autismo are white male characters.

No worries, get comfy and prepare to be amazed.

Essential racing kino

this

Speed Racer is pure kino

Is there anything (or anyone) he can't do?

>Lauda probably isn't even in the top 10 greatest F1 drivers
GET OUT!!

I was willing to agree with you until that.
The dude beat Prost in the same car.
The mid to late 80's was a crazy time for talent: Lauda, Prost, Piquet, Senna, yeah all right, I'll even throw Mansell a bone.
And you're telling me capable of beating Prost, Lauda isn't top 10.
Who the fuck would you put above him?
>Senna
>Alonso
>Schumi
>Fangio
>Stewart?
>?
>uhhhh... Brabham?
>Surtees?
>Clarke?
That's still only 8.

>Senna

I didn't ask for these feels

>autismo
>Lauda

That's not Räikkönen

Off the top of my head

>Stewart
>Fangio (probably, I mean he is stuff of legends but theres so little footage of it and hard to assess how close the competition really was, but chances are he was great)
>Schumacher
>Häkkinen
>Alonso
>Senna
>Prost
>Hamilton (controversial, I know)
>Vettel (maybe)
>Clark

Memes aside he probably is somewhere around the top 10. His Prost victory was total luck though and I think its clear that Prost is truly the better driver

I feel like no one ever acknowledges this movie.

Look let's just agree Hunt the Shunt was overrated and lucked out on his one Championship.

Yeah Prost is better, but I'd still rank Lauda somewhere in the middle of that list.

>tfw all i needed to do to get free taco bell for life was to drive a car fast

What's controversial about Hamilton?

If Hamilton is there then Vettel has to

Best wheelkino and best kino about rivalry.

fug what movie is this?

Rally > F1 > Literally anything else > NASCAR

Spent entire F1 career in top tier teams. Literally from day one.
Alonso started in Minardi
Schumacher in Jordan
Even Vettel did a stint in BMW and Toro Rosso
Senna started in Toleman I think
Haikkenen started during Lotus's dying days.

Hamilton started at McLaren when they were at the front of the grid. The cars and statistics flatter his talent. How much will always be a source of debate.

Yep

source?

>not being a motorsport idort and appreciating all forms of auto-racing

smdh tbqhfam

You will never have a hot austrian wife

WEC > F1.
If F1 brings refueling back I'll be pleased.

Also pic related for another documentary recommendation.

not with that attitude you won't

How can WEC in any way be better than F1? F1 is boring sure, but so is WEC.

Don't give me that one Silverstone battle from last year. Almost everything else is boring as fuck in LMP1. Sure the lower categories have some decent scraps but the LMP1 cars rarely actually race each other. If anything goes wrong with one car, then it basically means that they will never catch a competitor, meaning its like 6 hours of lapping by themselves.

WEC is really, really uninteresting to watch, I truly don't understand what attracts people to it. I fully admit the flaws of F1 as well but it doesn't somehow make WEC any less shit.

The 6 hour races can literally be summarized in 15 minutes or less. There are always a few good overtakes and maybe some tiny battles but that shit is bound to happen when you have that many cars on track for SIX HOURS (or 24)

>The 6 hour races
Why didn't you just start with this user and save yourself a battle you didn't need to fight.

There's movies to watch!
Hell, there's even friends to catch up with!

Yep. it was phenomenal. criminally overlooked. I will be surprised if Howard manages to top this ever. Have you seen Le Mans?

This is considerably better than driven. Better acted too.

Hell driven felt like Days of thunder, only acted even worse

He's just Finnish
