NoFap

NoFap

Hey Sup Forums i'm starting NoFap today
due to an ugly breakup wich was hard for me to get over, i hammered my meat way too much.
the symptoms i'm experiencing are psychological and physical.

psychological: anxiety, hazed mind and focus, no willpower and depression. (though depression might be from the breakup)

physical: dry cracked skin on my tip with little sensitivity.

i've read about the benefits of nofap. do any of you guys have any experience with this?

i'm starting to use "Bepanthen" on my tip to make the skin heal (it's filled with vitamin b5 etc)

any of you have had similar problems, both physical and psychological, which got better with NoFap ?

no one i presume :p

I try it rather casually. I'm not 100% convinced that being off it permanently is good for anxiety (longest I've done is a month) but it's good practice to try to bring it down to once a week or so.

There are for sure some definite effects to fapping less. I'm no scientist, but when you aren't constantly causing your brain to surge and flood dopamine, you'll get used to having more normal amounts, effectively making you happier, or perhaps more content and focused.

thanks for the reply!

any sensitivity problems experienced and/or resolved ?

I haven't had any sensitivity problems so to speak (could be a difference in technique) but I have found that after a few days of not fapping, sensitivity around my dick in general gets ridiculous, and touching it in almost any way feels super good. That's probably one of the hardest things to get past when you wanna try fap less IMO.

No fap is a bad choice.. I try it in order to respect my gf and after 2 weeks i jack off during the night because of a dream..
Think we have to fap cause it's natural

some ssri meds help with lowering the libido, i have gone many weeks at a time not fapping, seem to get more shit done that way

there's some notable differences between just fapping and fapping to porn though. Fapping is generally considered to be healthy/normal with some health benefits, but when coupled with porn it leads to addictive behaviour, and thus the possibility of depression and other mental issues. Fapping without porn or wet dreams are far better for you than fapping to porn and kinda fucking your brain up over time. It's all about the neurochemical responses

did no fap for 3 months and didn't really feel any different after the first week but it did help me stop looking at porn which has made me somewhat more interested in "real" women

yea but i'm not really interested in lowering my libido.... the way it plays off in my head for the next weeks, is that i don't fap but use my libido and (presumed) higher testosterone to start talking to girls again on parties... cuz that's a struggle i have aswell.

yea it might be natural, but the last 2 months i've been going at it a little too enthousiasticly (to put it in nice terms) so i'm gonna try to just stop or deriously decrease it. using a NoFap to "heal"

yea it's the porn addiction, definitely gotta stop that shit

well i'm a dry fapper so that might be a problem... anyway, i'll see how it goes

Hmm didn't know that. I'll make some search thanks you.

sometimes they're a bit too good at that though

i missed out on chances of getting laid because alcohol+ssris = mega whiskeydick

Yeah dude, I find fapping using moisturiser as lube is a pretty good compromise. Feels pretty good + you're not drying it out as much

Well sounds like a nice cure,
Anyway, cant kill you whatever we try

Yeah reasonable plan. It's tough to judge in my experience, there's times when it makes you feel real relaxed and confident, but there are also times when you just thirsty like fucking nothing else. But, when you read up on NoFap you realise that kinda is just how the territory works. It's quite a bumpy ride

bumpy ride or not, something has to be done, because at the moment, i'm not a well functioning male.

see how it goes.
nice trips btw

well it left my tip all cracked up. wrinkles and shit... i'm uncircumsized so maybe that's the way a circumsized dick looks, i don't know...
still makes me feel a little embarassed though
maybe for no reason

Interessing.
Give us some news of the progression of your expérience

will do!
i'll give a weekly update

I've only been able to go a month without, but in that time I'd say getting past the first week is the hardest part. After that you've started to get a routine that sort of works, but then other temptations will come along and sort of test you. If you're remotely sexually frustrated, that can get real bad for temptation, specially if you go out partying /clubbing and find some hot babes. If you manage to score, great, but if not, you're likely gonna feel like a fap.

I've found that about a week in you get "superpowers" and start getting the real confident, driven, energetic, and optimistic vibes, but those kinda wear off as your dopamine levels normalise. Supposedly after about 3 solid months of NoFap you start to get a lot more reliable results, which also makes sense neurochemical-wise. Still a damn tough ask though.

Anyway, I'm off to bed guys, good luck.

Also to note; going on Sup Forums isn't the best for avoiding temptation :P

>psychoLOGical

That's realy Interessing, make me wanna try !

Goodnight user thanks you for this contribution
