Daily reminder that the Patriots are $63 million under the cap

>Daily reminder that the Patriots are $63 million under the cap
>Daily reminder that if you add the cap space of the Jets, bills, and Dolphins you get a combined $63 million in cap space

...

>don't spend your cap
>win Super Bowl anyway

Are other teams even trying?

they just keep winning it's not fair it was our turn

So literally every free agent will ask for a huge contract.

Darth Bill doesn't sign big contracts. He's more likely to let them all walk.

Then he will sign undrafted free agents and fucking rugby and lacrosse players and turn them into pro bowlers

Pats only had 8 mill cap space this year, 12th most in the league.

having a lot of cap space next year only means they have a lot of contracts running out, not that they somehow played undermanned this year.

They operate so well with cap space to spare because they dont waste their time or money on overpriced divas(see picture), keep everyone on short contracts and pay everybody well. Even Brady gave up a few million to help spread out the cap.

they're 31/32 in actually money spent in the past 5 years

>Titans
When you have two first round draft picks and the 4th most cap in free agency, had the best off-season int the NFL the previous year,(went from 1st overall pick to 9-7) also now has a lot of young talent ready to blossum, has only one weakness as a team, ( the secondary but as i said before, 4th most cap, and 2 1st rounders in a DB heavy draft, that WILL get fixed). Face it assholes, the Titans are about to run a train on the league

>Darth Bill doesn't sign big contracts
Objectively untrue. He pays up for players that he thinks are worth it. It's just that most players aren't worth big money.

Well good for them, those guys need some love.

I like the Titans, they play fast and exciting football

You should brace for people to start hating you though. People only like teams that are objectively shit and are never a threat. That's why all these cucks love the Jaguars, Browns, and Bills. And Raiders, but that'll become hate soon.

i cant believe we're actually getting a bit of recognition in this thread, a-holes on Sup Forums are usually just like "ok fag" XD
We, stay healthy, we'll be a force. Idgaf who believes in us or not

They play in the worst division in football, only won two of their division games, and you literally think their only weak spot is the secondary.

>claims AFC south is worst division in NFL
Texans 9-7
Titans 9-7
Colts 8-8
3 out of 4 teams were .500 or better, so that makes us the weakest division how exactly? And as you said, the Titans only won 2 games in this supposed 'worse division', but still had a winning record. Meaning they beat many teams outside of their division, thus saying teams within their division had a higher chance of beating them, then teams outside their division.
PS: What i meant about the secondary was that it was our only MAJOR weakness. We still need a #1 WR, 1 more decent pass rusher, and a big TE. But as i said 4th in cap and 2 1st round picks, we'll get what we need

What does it mean? That they could have an even better team or something if they wanted to spend money?

Most of it will go re-signing their own players who are out of contract.

>Having two white people as your top receivers on a Superbowl winning team.
>One played quarterback in collage
>The other played lacrosse.

Who needs a salary cap when your coach knows how to turn any mediocre player into a serviceable play-maker.

>Having two white people as your top receivers on a Superbowl winning team.
>One played quarterback in collage
>The other played lacrosse.

You cannot make this shit up.

You know Bennett, Blount, Floyd, Chris Long, Branch, Hightower, Logan Ryan, Sheard, Malcolm Butler and Brandon King are all impending free agents, right?

This is such a dumb conversation to have in February

Bennet, Blount, Floyd (he was useless), long, and king don't need to be resigned. They could find anybody who could do what they did last season.

Collins' replacements were all terrible except for the ethnic looking mormon van noy, who is going to be a FA soon

They were lucky to win the owl desu

Lol yeah Bennett and Blount didn't offer anything special, absolutely man. And Long definitely wasn't one of the pats best pass rushers all year, they'll probably let he and King and Bolden go. Anybody can play special teams right?

Anyways I hope you're right because they won't have much money after they re-sign sheard, Butler, Branch, Ryan and Hightower

The tits are always a fun watch, a postseason with them would be nice

>This titsfag posting in every thread
Can't wait until you clowns go 6-10

Collins is overrated. Yes he IS a talented athlete BUT he also is known for ignoring play calls. Add that to the fact that he thought he was irreplaceable and tried to shake down the front office for more money than he could ever be potentially worth.

Dickheads like that are always corrosive to the team's morale and usually start slacking off the year after they get the big contract that they want.

TLDR: Not worth Von Miller money. Bill sent everybody the right message by dumping him off on Cleveland.

See

Broncos are going to have about 50 million in cap room and don't have any big name players coming off the books like the Cheatriots

Explain to a non-american American what is the point of having a cap.

Prevents the american football versions of Man city and Barca from buying literally everyone and ruining the fun for small teams Cleveland and Jacksonville

Soccer, as a sport, is doing pretty well without a cap. People like seeing all-stars in the field, having as many as possible in the same match brings in a shitload of money.

So socialism?

Its to keep the big cities like Yew York, San Francisco and Dallas from monopolizing all of the best talent in the league.

We have this problem in major league baseball, look up the world series history. Its straight up pay to win.

Mate If there is anything Americans are good at its bringing in money. The nfl is a meticulous money making macheeen

sort of, except its in sports, not the wider economy. so completely different.

actually baseball hasn't been pay to win since the draft took its current form. though, there's still a strong correlation between regular season win % and payroll.

The whole "salary caps are socialism" has to be the dumbest meme in all of sports. It's like, where the fuck do you even begin to describe how retarded the analogy is.

Of the last 22 World Series winners, only one (Marlins) finished the season in the bottom half of MLB payroll. Spending money doesn't guarantee you'll win, but not spending enough pretty much guarantees you won't.

>use salary caps
>daddy trump telling companies where they should and shouldn't open their factories
>also tell people what products they should buy and which not
>using tariffs

America became socialist so slowly that they didn't even realized

Nah, more like making sure everyone plays with similar equipment. If some teams were allowed to use rocket packs, the games would be one sided and the money would eventually dry up from fans moving on.

This is more predatory capitalism, making sure the small markets don't stop spending.

agree with you there. there are plenty of playoff teams without big payrolls, but there's a huge depth problem that can problematic against a complete team over 7 games.

Socialism means public or state control of means of production so this is nothing like it.

It's just an agreed upon limit on salaries.

>>They were lucky to win the owl desu

They were lucky to have Brady desu.

>They were lucky to win the owl desu
>coming back from a 25 point deficit is "luck"
defense stepped up at the right time and Brady was clutch when they needed him. Collins is a good athlete but a cancer to a defense that was floundering at the time.

somebody had to do it ;)

Blount is great if you get him cheap but he averaged less than 4yrds/carry in the last 6 Games.

ETA on fith ring design?
i need to update my brady pics
