It literally has no single good song

Name one.

Protip: you can't.

All of them! Shut the fuck up, this this album is GOAT!

Put Your Money On Me

Okay I actually like the album but you can't expect me to believe there is a single person on earth who thinks Chemistry is a good song.

This album makes Reflektor look like a masterpiece

It's fantastic.

Enough games

I greatly appreciate that manages to evoke The Clash and Warrant in 3:38.

*a song that

I'm up to Creature Comfort so far and it's not terrible except the lyrics are really basic.

Put Your Money On Me is good and desu Creature Comfort would be in their top 10 if the lyrics weren't such cringe.

When Everything Now cam out, I had some good hopes, then after a few listens, grew out of it, waiting for the album.
Saw them live at a festival a couple of weeks ago. Was drunk, but still thought that was an "OK" concert. Not as powerful as the previous ones though.
Now I listened to the album earlier today and I had just one thought:

"Well shit, that's embarassing."

Regine's voice on Creature Comfort is particularly annoying.

>I'M GONNA HAVE A GOOD DAY TODAY

How can the same band who made

>Tunnels
>Crown of Love
>Haiti
>Sprawl I/II
>Half Light I/II
>Anarchist Television Blues
>No Cars Go
>Reflektor
>Joan of Arc
>Afterlife

Make the track "Chemistry"

I honestly don't know what went so wrong, or how so much talent could be just completely and utterly wasted on...whatever the fuck that track, or this album is.

Hopefully they break up soon or ditch this retarded nostalgic angle they've been taking. I thought it failed on Reflektor but looking back maybe they did a pretty good job after all.

>reddit spacing

this

every track on your list is bullshit

Stop pretending, you've got...
Autism now! I need it
Autism now! I want it
Autism now! I can't live without
Autism now! I can't live without
Autism now! I can't live

And every room in my house is filled with shit I couldn't live without
Autism now! I need it
Autism now! I can't live without
Autism now! I can't live
Autism now!
Every inch of space in my heart is filled with something I'll never start

>Anarchist Television Blues

trips of truth

Electric Blue

ding ding we have a winner

>Joan of Arc

lmao

Suburbs had Sprawl II and Half light I and II. Reflektor only had Porno. And Everything Now has none.

On my first listen rn, Creature Comfort feels like an LCD Soundsystem banger mang

HOT TAKE: The Suburbs (2010) is their most cohesive and solid album

The album could have been saved If they had a good rhythm section. This must ne the grooveless dance music i have ever listened

Broken Social Scene is the better canadian rock band desu

HOT TAKE OMG

BSS's discography by itself is better, and then on top of that their members are a part of a ton of other great bands

I really liked the singles except for Signs of Life. I'm scared of listening now

also their new release is so much better than this

creature comfort and we dont deserve love are p good

haven't listened to Everything Now yet but I loved Hug of Thunder

if by 'cohesive and solid' you mean 'boring and filled with filler' then I agree

It's Stars desu

By a lot

creature comfort is ok. the majority of this album is horrible. and i loved reflektor

don't listen to Everything Now just listen to Hug of Thunder again

With Hug of Thunder I listened to all of their old stuff again and fell in love with them all over again. Really, they're only weak one might be Forgiveness Rock Record, but all you have to do to improve it greatly is stop listening after Sentimental Xs.

Vanity pail kids is what they thought sings of life would sounded and fail badly

>Everything_Now (Continued)
>Everything Now
>Everything Now (Continued)

what did they mean by this?

Stars doesn't get discussed enough on Sup Forums 2bh

heh... it's called a theme, kid... too deep for you?

It was to be expected

>next is BoTW
So should we expect the next album to be an instant classic?

It's called trying to be deep and unique and failing horribly.

Good God Damn sounds like a shitty Black Keys song.

i was never a fan of zelda, or video games for that matter. i had one friend try to tell me my opinion was wrong over and over again while saying
>and thats fine you think that but
fucking nerds

Creature confort would be decent without the laughable lyrics

But Neon Bible isn't the best Arcade Fire album, user

wow it matches so perfectly

Just finished listening to the album, and PYMOM and we don't deserve love redeemed the album. They were both so genuine and emotional that they made the rest of the album seem like a cathartic, juvenile outburst, like getting super pissed off and breaking down after.

When I was listening to chemistry and infinite content I was like "what is this shit," but the two last songs really frame the whole album and give it a certain humanity that wasn't really present in reflektor

Yeah, they totally lost me on this one. They're preaching instead of story telling now.

Who thought repeating "Girls kill themselves because they don't like how they look" over and over would make a good song? and Regina's charming lack of talent doesn't hold up to their new ABBA disco production style.

Pretty much. It only took people 15 years to realize the truth.

We should expect the next to be something completely different and forgotten by everyone except the few who fanboy it. Such a shame

Arcade Fire has always been shit. Try hard garbage.

Name 1 good Arcade Fire song. Protip: you can't.

>certain humanity that wasn't really present in reflektor
I felt the latter half of reflektor was that humanity. The first was just a party and the second half is where things got serious. It was what lay under the facade in my opinion.

>Crown of love
not the worst song on funeral

Everything Now is a decent catchy pop song.

We Don't Deserve Love sounds like something off of Funeral, and I enjoyed it. Not a great song but still good.

Creature Comfort was okay. Cringey lyrics but I like the instrumentation and production.

Every other song is the worst material Arcade Fire has ever put out. Into the trash it goes.

Everyone knows this
Funeral and YFIIP are equal but Broken Social Scene's self-titled is better than both

Hug of Thunder was good but I dunno how it'll pan out at the end of the year. It's like half really great tracks and half tracks that I have literally zero opinion on
I guess I need to listen to it again

>Everything_Now (continued)
>Everything Now
>Signs of Life
>Creature Comfort
>Electric Blue
>Put Your Money On Me
>We Don't Deserve Love
>Everything Now (continued)

This would be an 8/10 EP. It's just the 5ish songs in the middle that are trash and bring down the rest of the album.

Except for the fact that it totally is.
It's too bad their whole discography is bad, though.

They've been adding unnecessary filler since Suburbs. Everything after Half Light I/II was filler until Sprawl. On Reflektor, You Already Know and Joan of Arc could have been removed.

Antichrist Television Blues

infinite_content

Listened to this whole album whilst browsing dvds in HMV the other day. Thought it was pretty good, very catchy.

This is a huge issue I don't see brought up a lot. Arcade Fire is so damn stiff. Completely ill-suited to a dance-pop makeover.

Not working for me. They're nice songs but they never get interesting or better.

Every single song Arcade Fire song is just one step way from not being mediocre, and NEVER takes the step. Always 90% of the way to a good song.

>knowing how reddit formats their posts
you shoul go back

why are people saying Put Your Money on Me is good? its trash

...

>they never get interesting or better
The lyrics on antichrist television blues are among the best ever written.
I get chills every time he says "Wanna hold a mirror up to the world so they can see themselves inside my little girl"

I'm one of them people, though it probably only sounds good in comparison to the rest of the album

It sounds the same on every fucking album you pleb

Regine is a dog faced midget with cellulite and a rancid can't

She has no talent and must hide her voice behind heavy production and instrumentals

I wonder do any of the members sigh everytime she suggests something, judging by her interviews she seems annoying as fuck, sort of reminds of yoko Ono

It's a 10/10 user. Everybody knows this

what an unique opinion you have right there. I'm glad you shared your totally individual view on this album with us

There are interesting lyrical moments, but the problem for me was that the music itself was completely boring. The vocal melodies were overwhelmingly bland. The chord progressions (outside of the instances where they were referencing other arcade fire song, like that reference to The Suburbs in Infinite_Content), were fucking snoozers.

What a unique response, it really contributes to the thread.

Creature Comfort and Everything Blue are up to scratch dece Arcade Fire songs

Everything else dogshit

How do you spend 45 minutes looking at DVDs? Staff probably wanted you to leave.

This, god damn it, is the truth

I'm excited for the next one then, BotW is pretty good.

Did you think that the line "Daddy, how come you're never around?" was a callback to the title track of The Suburbs "I want a daughter while I'm still young". Given the themes of the latter cross over considerably and after a loss of innocence, the protagonist's growing apathy leads him towards caring little of his family and more of his career?

Good: Everything Now, Creature Comfort, Electric Blue, Put Your Money on Me, We Don't Deserve Love

Bad: Everything else.

The worst in Arcade Fire's discography. 5/10 at best. 1st = Funeral. 2nd = The Suburbs. 3rd = Reflektor. 4th = Neon Bible. 5th = Everything Now.

Chemistry wasnt written by Arcade Fire, it was actually a song that was supposed to be on Ariel Pink's new album as an ironic B side filler

I guess we could all just jump in here and meme it up instead.

source?

I disagree, but it's my favorite.

If your comparing it to the Zelda series Funeral should be Zelda I (masterpiece), Neon Bible should be Zelda II (still fucking amazing) and the rest is Reddit garbage.

Zelda is a terrible comparison as they're all pretty much the same game rebooted over and over. Also Zelda 2 was never good.

Nah man it's pretty good.

This album starts out pretty good, takes a hard dive in quality in the middle, and finishes strong. Could be worse.

I actually unironically love Peter Pan
