your new lengths of each "side" x,y,z , you have a known length of the actual sides for your cube, and you have 3 angles one for each axis rotation. You should be able to build this by looking at what each axis rotation does to the new length separately.

That's what I tried, but it turns out that it's actually really complicated.
Handling one axis of rotation at a time is easy.
Handling a second axis of rotation quadruples the amount of code required, and it takes much longer to figure out the relationships.
Handling a third axis of rotation is nightmarish, and this is why matrices are used for things that have three axis of rotation.
