There are "people" on this board right now who have never had depression and think that they can understand music

>there are "people" on this board right now who have never had depression and think that they can understand music

>there are lonely losers on this board who don't regularly fuck a human being

I can barely get out of bed in the morning. How do YOU faggots do it?

ITT

Well for me personally when I was depressed I couldn't even listen to music without wanting to shut it off. It just amplified that empty feeling. Silence was more appealing then because for whatever reason it gave me time to be at peace with myself and myself alone.

Go back to /r9k/ you underage wuss

There's not a chance that you or anyone else on this board regularly has sex with someone because if there was any single one person in your life you wouldn't stay on this shitty fucking board

I wish I had depression so that I could overrate minor-chord spam and shitty concept albums.

>tfw not able to enjoy certain Beatles songs anymore because my mind associates them with the few months I was depressed back in like 2007

They aren't even necessarily sad songs, but just hearing certain ones like "Something" give me a sinking feeling in my stomach. Like negative nostalgia.

Same, I associate the same feelings with The Fool on the Hill and Strawberry Fields Forever. Those were good songs to listen to though, because they didn't give off any charade.

Oh damn, were you listening to the Blue Album then as well?

>negative nostalgia
I know that feel. I used to really like death cab for cutie (yeah I know that they're generic indie garbage but whatever) and would always listen to it with my girlfriend. Then she left me and I got super depressed and now I can barely listen to them anymore.

...

Not everyone listens to the music the same way.
Asked a coworker whether they form emotional bonds to the music they listen to, or if they just like the beat or whatever, and they told me the first one. They like pop music and they find, I assume, an emotional outlet elsewhere. Doesn't make us any better or worse than anyone else, so kindly tip your fedora somewhere else.

The people on this board must have a peanut-sized brain to think that any slightly emotional music=cringe.

I don't understand how they can listen to the highly praised dull hipster music on here and can't help but chuckle when they try to describe it as "sad" or "dark".

I honestly wish this was the case

>people are elitist about having depression

>he thinks he's experienced clinical depression

>there are "people" on this board right now that haven't been clinically diagnosed with aspergers/high functioning autism
and think that they can understand music

how with a lower case h

>Using this board for any other reason than to share ideas and discover new and not so new music

ishiggydiggy

>you have to be mentally unstable to understand music

this whole thread is ridiculous

I haven't been able to listen to Flight Of The Navigator by Gambino for two years for that same reason

>There are people on Sup Forums that don't have tinnitus and think they can appreciate music

>there are "people" on this board right now who have never done LSD and think that they can understand music

>there are "people" on this board

>people

came here to post this

wait this isn't porn

so having a beard now is nu-male?

user if you don't understand what the "hipster beard" is you might really be a numale. It's the scrawny, indecisive beard that looks like it's trying so hard to look rough and tumble (like the overused flannel look) and "raw" but ironically only further highlights the insecurity and fragility of the wearer.

holy projection

Honestly when I'm really depressed music does almost nothing for me. The only music that does anything for me is like, whitehouse and shit.

So you are not a numale but you are aware of all the hip trends and you consciously avert them?

Damn...
