Recommendations/Feedback
Check out all 4 of these guys, by all means.
Saw your stuff here recently, very fucking good, downloaded the album.
It's pretty good, love the acid influence a lot, Pedler is probably my favorite cut on the Home Invaders EP, Arby is a nice finish.
Before I say anything about the music, the visuals are fucking great.
I'm gonna be completely honest, I have a soft spot for this shit, it's really nice droney stuff mixed with some really cool jazzy instrumentation, something I'm always on the lookout for.
All three tracks blend into each other pretty smoothly in my opinion, but was kinda pissed that the third one is only one minute, but, whatever, they serve as good teaser tracks, that's the point.
Will check out the album once it's released.

Thanks for the feedback on mine b. (Synthpop one) damn I do house and bass music on the side and your stuff is so fucking Impressive I absolutely love everything about tasteful nudes. Drums are punchy and clean. Track is full but atmospheric this is fucking sick.
Semi-Hawaiian themed comedy duo located in the UK. We're incredibly amateur and we recently released an album about nature.
No idea what genre we are, if you know please tell us.
just went in for a second listen and had to follow hahaha you guys music is so god damn fire. that vocalist is on point.

pretty good but i feel its missing some crazy drum fills in some points
decent, but it lacks some sort of melody (something subtle at least), and also i think the kick is clipping
thanks for the feedback

this is definitely worth a listen! very different, good job on the vox especially. sweet
skipped around in the track so i didn't jam the whole thing but i liked it! some of the transitions seems a little basic i was just at a regional burn and having a sick unique transition is really what brought everyone back into dance mode
i liked politics of denial the best vox sound a bit nasally but whatevs

ok.
Composition. Was this written for cowboys in space? If not, I'd venture out of the pentatonic scale more. Also, the melody is a little formless. There are no strong dissonances, but its very "straight" sounding and not particularly memorable. I've listened to the track twice and I can't hum any of it back because its already out of my head. Also add more instruments, there are like two in this whole track. Where is the bass?
In terms of arrangement, good effort. It is nice that the track builds and releases tension by taking away and re-introducing the main melody thing.
Sound design. Panning. Kick drums and snares go in the center. My brain (and those of most listeners) just demand it. Everything kind has that "stock sample" flavor to it, from the guitar to that cheesy flute thing, and those 2010 dnb/dubsteppy drums. Ditch them or add lots of effects.
Recommendations. Just move on. Write a slightly better song, and then another, and then another, and then another until you question your sanity and you don't know why you do this to yourself.
Worked out how to record tracks the day before writing and recording these tracks (first time writing or recording with a synth, and first time recording myself singing)
>ambient pop, mathy, field recordings
>yes the artwork is a ripoff of sacred bones records - made it ages ago for a uni project so w/e
Pentatonic scale?
Not sure how to add bass...
Oh, I thought I was being creative panning the snares to different sides. It sounded cool in my headphones. I'll keep that in mind.
Now that I'm listening to it again, I'd like some advice on removing that distortion from the guitar effect. I didn't really notice it in my headphones or my laptop speakers, but I noticed it easily on my dollar store plug in speakers, and on my Samsung S5's speakers. It's an annoying sort of distortion anytime the two guitar instruments play.
Also, I'm basically a total noob. I can't use the mixer or maximus properly. What noob friendly youtube guides would you recommend?
By stock sample you mean instruments that come preloaded on the program? If so, then yeah.... they are stock samples... well at least the guitar is. That flute effect I got from somewhere else
