Okay Sup Forums, here's the situation

Okay Sup Forums, here's the situation.

Ever since I was 8 I really loved playing the vidya and throughout my life until like 2 months ago I was heavily addicted to them. Not only did I love the vidya so much like the rest of you would but it was the perfect form of escape from reality for me, because depresseloid. With those things in mind (and maybe some other less relevant factors) I dropped out of high school, moved out at one point afterwards and let myself get a credit card debt of $3k just because I wouldn't go out looking for a job to pay my rent and buy groceries because depression, anxiety and addicted to games (depression was also a factor for my uncompleted high school). I even started going to the food bank because I couldn't afford to eat.

So like I said, that's how things were 2 months ago, because 2 months ago I quit playing games. Ever since then I haven't really had a hobby to help replace all the time I would spend gaming. I would just sit and browse Sup Forums and youtube all day and not really do anything else in my spare time. There are some things I want to do like rock climbing, buying a project car and fixing it up, then soup it up, and I'm interested in D&D but don't have a group yet. But all these things I can't do as often as I would be able to play games. I do have a job and am slowly paying off my debts so in the mean time I can't really spend money on shit.

Getting to the point, I've been so bored lately that I've had the temptation to play games again. Even if it's in moderation I'd rather just stay away from them for now because I don't want to ruin my streak, but I NEED something to do, a hobby that I can do on the cheap and almost 24/7. The things I previously stated above I can't really do on the cheap and can't do those things all the time.

TL;DR I need a hobby that's cheap and that I can do almost all the time.

Masturbation.

you can only fap so many times a day before your balls ache, I already jack off enough

an instrument is a one time purchase they can be very rewarding if you are willing to invest the time to practice

Read a motherfucking book

try learning a new language

honestly been interested in electric guitar
I have a shit tonne of books lined up for educational and wisdom acquisition reasons but youtube and Sup Forums etc is more stimulating than that. I wanna read and I wanna read lots but it's just so boring compared to everything else. That and if I want to absorb all the info to the best I can I have to basically turn reading into legit studying

ill get to it eventually but yeah

Hey you should try playing Drop Ball. It's an extremely addictive, high-intensity game designed for people everywhere.

Magic.

A deck of bicycle cards os like, what, 3$ ? There are great youtube channels that teach the sleight you need like : 52kards, Chris Ramsey, SankeyMagic, The russian Genius (even though his accent is horrible) and a lot more.

It will help you socialize more and it's a never ending search for that new sleighr that will make everything better.

Once you have money you can start buying stuff from companies lile Murphy's Magic or Ellusionist.

...

dunno if I would be able to do that very well. Got tested by a neuropsych for some shit and one of the things I apparently have is often accompanied by below average fine motor skills, which I've noticed

I'll have to pay off my debt first and then get money for school. what the fuck am I supposed to do in the mean time? I don't feel like working every hour I'm awake either.

this. workout. because of a head injury I wake up real fucking early. Like 3 am. I used to just play vidya but I started working out AND playing vidya.

Fast forward a few months and I'm somewhat ripped now.

One of the gyms in town is really fucking cheap but regular lifting bores me, and I already don't eat properly so I'm gonna have to learn to cook as well if I want to see proper progress to have a healthy/healthy looking body.

If all else fails I might just do that but that's kinda why I want to start rock climbing. Good form of activity to at least get some muscle on my sack of bones of a body, but it's actually something I'll enjoy.

You could still try, some move are really easy.

One of the best card magicians in the world is fucking BLIND, there's a guy that has no fucking hands and does magic with his stumps, some only have one hand, some suffer from parkinson's disease.

Really you can do magic, whatever you have, you'll just have to work harder, wich means you'll have something to keep you busy as much as vidya did, and if you get really good at it, other magicians will be impressed by it because of your "condition"

Make art, like paintings or sculptures

are you retarded? the whole post was about not playing games, not not having money to play them.

alright I'll look into it

there's lots of stuff out there, there's good ideas in this thread already.

Im just giving general advice.

ah, alright thanks

dude I shit you not all i do is pushups, sit ups and some curls. I do this in my room, in between smoking bowls and playing vidya, until people start waking up. I continue it through the day, I probably do about 150 push ups all together, 25 at a time.

Just excersize doesn't work, you're right. You gotta have a decent diet too. This is me. I am 40 yrs old. this pic is a year old just about.

>pushups, sit ups and some curls
is that LITERALLY it?

Nice, you may like it a lot man

The other suggestions are great too, go lift some weights, go running, do everything you can think of basically, if you find something interesting, do it.

Make the most out of how little time we have in this shitty world

How about cooking?

1. Can get you girls
2. Is respekted
3. Can make money (Even w/o high school)
4. Is cheap (if you dont go for shit like dry aged beef or lobster)

draw furry porn

yes. but I do a shitload and I do it everyday and have for YEARS.

Gotta start somewhere. Start easy. Make your routine so easy you wont skip it. Each week add more reps. Watch your diet. Repeat repeat repeat. I have a lot of free time with nothing to do so I work out this way. Easy reps, just do a shitload of them and DONT SKIP any days.

Remember to start off easy so you won't be tempted to skip it. Even if its just for like ten minutes. As time goes on, add more. This is how I do it, won't work for everyone but it sure works on my shit and is easy af.

what I said might seem obvious. but I find that if you break your routine and get involved in stuff, things tend to fall into place. conversely, it's easy to get stuck in a rut if you don't take initiative.

im even more ripped now, file size is too big. if theres interest ill resize it so I can post. I am bigger now. Not gonna fuck with it though if no one cares.

All im saying is it worked for me. Might work for you.

OP here, interest obtained. Just resize it in paint or smth

Double up on this.

get a fucking job

He already has one...

I have one you ape

You already found a hobby
>cooking my dude
>honestly I love to cook its like meditation when I cook for myself

Yes OP, be like a Jim Carrey

I suck dick and it and I heavily dislike doing dishes.

the problem with cooking is all the cleaning afterwords

>I suck dick
that's a hobby.

I suck dick at it*

Cooking is a great thing to do, even if you dont know how to learning could be entertaining

until i set my grandparents fucking house on fire

I'm bored, what do I do?
Gets told something good to do that is engaging.
Nawwww.

Fuck off op. Read a story, not educational shit.

Well thats part of the hobby

>you Will suck dick at it
>you will be frustrated by it at first
>But its all about persevering through all that
>you will be able to learn some tricks along the way
>research some stuff
>try new foods from different counties
>dishes is only a small part and its not like you have anything else to do
>you are growing up into a full adult where you have to support yourself
>eating out to fast food places cost a lot more
>learning to cook is an alternative to cutting costs that are clearly necessary

I'm probably gonna do most of the stuff suggested in the thread but I kind of what to find something that I'm actually excited to do and not just force myself to do shit

I suggest birdwatching, in all seriousness, i have a cousin who's into it and he says it cheap cuz all you need is a pair of binoculars and a bird field guide, then you can go online and look up birdwalks in your area with groups like the audubon society and stuff, its great cuz it's cheap, time outside, and easy to set up a network

What about photography?

I'm not gay

jk, don't have a camera

Not gay?
Why are you posting gay frog pictures?

learn to draw or program
