JEEEEEEEEEEWS

>Jolie's purse carrier

he's right though.

So?

True wisdom from a guy paid to play pretend

Who the fuck writes that way?
>(((J Harvey)))
Every time.

So this is how it feels to be the butt of sexism.

Mel Gibson's Passion isn't a good representation of christianity.

It's a Wonderful Life delivers a wholesome christian message without resorting to self-indulgent persecution-porn.

He's lashing out isn't he? That barren Jolie pussy has made him desperate.

Why is it propaganda?

It's just like any other historic piece put to film.

Scientology is a modern invention, so it's a false equivalence.

>your fucks are not to be given!

The experiment has failed, shut down the internet.

>historic

There is more evidence for the crucifixtion of Jesus than many other historical figures such as Alexander The Great.

*tips*

...

Isn't believing in magic/supernatural more fedora than realism?

>it's a "jesus didn't exist" episode

>Uneducated, stupid, alt right inbreds

This site really went to trash.

>In one fell interview
>Brad Pitt dragged... The Passion of the Christ AND L. Ron Hubbard's alien volcano religion Scientology
Dragged them where? What?
>your fucks are not to be given
J Harvey what the fuck are you doing

Then enlighten us, o wise faggot

...

If Brad is agnostic or atheist how did he help Shia convert to Christianity?

He keeps the red-pilled belief to himself and, knowing that Shia isn't ready for it, he taught him the next best one.

Based brad, and already 2 fedora pics so far, so you know mentally ill christfaggots are already triggered

*Tips*

Back to red-dit, cunt faggot.

It's really easy, you just look up "historical evidence for Jesus" and finish your research inside of a few minutes because it's nearly non-existent. It's generous to say that it exists at all.

Completely false. There may be not be many written primary sources left (there's a document from Bactria that announces his arrival and the Babylonian Royal Diary mentions his death) but the cities named after him, coins with his visage engraved on them, the spread of Greek culture to the Middle East, inscriptions of his name on the host of archaeological evidence left in his wake are more than can be said for Jesus.

>Being this wrong

Assblasted redditors need get the fuck out, dipshit nigger.

All this evidence you say proves Alexander also proves the existence of Jesus of Nazareth, as the entirety of modern western civilization can be traced from the Christianized Levant and succeeding Roman Empire.

>Like his friend and “Inglourious Basterds” director Quentin Tarantino, Pitt’s scholarship in the craft of the medium has mostly been the medium itself. More than that, film was for him a window into the world. “Movies were a way out,” he says. “If you live in a vacuum and suddenly you’re exposed to the world, you’re exposed to other cultures. And remember, this was pre-internet. This was the only lens that could show me how a kid in Brooklyn lived, a kid in Ireland, a kid in Africa.”

>On the topic of exotic worlds, he mentions a film he’d like to make about Pontius Pilate, mostly because the script, which focuses on a mediocre Roman official stuck in the middle of nowhere with difficult people he doesn’t like, makes him smile. Jesus doesn’t get much screen time. “It certainly won’t be for the ‘Passion’ crowd,” he says, which reminds me that Mel Gibson’s torture-porn epic is one of the things that drove me out of the church. Pitt bursts into laughter. “I felt like I was just watching an L. Ron Hubbard propaganda film.”

>Xenu aside, Gibson movies typically do one thing really well: violence. “Oh, extremely well,” Pitt says. “‘Apocalypto’ is a great film.”

>we seek not to censor content, but to provide context.jpg

Passion of the Christ is a good snuff film tho.

>Apocalypto is a great film

Brad Pitt is based and correct.

The consensus among historians is that there was a historical jesus

He's preparing mind and body to become the first alien hybrid.

Keep in mind that Christian histories don't have valid opinion on this subject, as they are literally as biased as is humanly possible.

Historians aren't needed here because anyone can look up the "evidence" for Jesus' existence. There's barely any, period.

Most modern academics actually reject the idea that Jesus wasn't a real historical person. It's like saying Socrates didn't exist because he didn't write anything. The chances are simply put slim since we can actually create a fairly expansive historical profile based on the fact that multiple accounts and cultural references to him exist. You will not find anyone of note who sincerely argues that Jesus did not exist as a real person

Also, second paragraph

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_Jesus

>"The vast majority of scholars who write on the subject agree that Jesus existed..."

t. B.A. in history

what exactly are your credentials to speak on this and evidence for this beyond "muh opinion"?

You realize there are historians besides Christian ones? The academic ones can be pretty unbiased.

Not that this makes the passion of the Christ a historical accurate film. It's more of a fictional period piece.

Almost all historians agree there is evidence. Weak b8, faggot.

Jesus had money with his face on it while he was alive? Jesus had contemporary structures built in the areas he travelled to? Jesus' travels led to some of his followers starting dynasties in areas they went to?

Fellow BA in history here.

>tfw no job prospects

Jesus Christ, he's got to stop eating or the only job he'll have is carrying purses.

there is shitloads of evidence for jesus, he is recorded in dozens of contemporary accounts

he is more well recorded than most of roman history

Of course, I work as a cab driver but that degree still makes me objectively more qualified to speak to historical affairs than him and his bullshit "man-on-the-street" wisdom

>alt-right
>christian

One of the most retarded and paradoxically self-assured blatant anti-intellectual posts ever written here

Yeah, most alt-right people I know are atheists.

No, it's actually in high contention in historical circles at the moment.

There certainly was a miracle healer in the area at the time--there were a number in fact, but one in particular did everything the Bible said Jesus did. He was also a Jew who was crucified by the Romans, so it's likely that he is the man that Jesus is based on.

But, of course, "based on" does not mean "existed". He had a different name, different life, and somewhat different feats from Jesus as from the Bible, as well as never being a carpenter or coming from a poor family. He was (I think, though I can't be 100% sure) traced to be the son of a moderately wealthy rabbi.

My understanding of the current mainstream view among historians is that the literal Jesus Christ of Nazareth as a carpenter's son turned miracle worker never existed. There are a number of people who loosely match his description, but Jesus himself as a real, historical person probably did not exist, at least under the given name Jesus of Nazareth.

>Every religion except Islam is bad!
When did the world get so topsy-turvy?

He's recorded in zero contemporary accounts. Are you retarded?

>religious lunatic calling anyone "anti-intellectual"

You belong in a straitjacket.

>what is the bible
>what are the gospels

holy shit

ITT:
>Edgy atheists deny Jesus' existence and crucifixion, despite the mainstream historical community reaching a consensus that these events occurred, because they hate religion
>This is somehow the rational and non-emotional viewpoint

What the fuck are you on about Sup Forumsfaggot.

Doesn't take a B.A in history to know that, at least not when you are going to argue online/ irl about this subject.
But at least my expectations for knowledgeable people online are too high
The thing with alt- right and christianity is that they don't really believe in God or don't care, they just deem religion as a "value" to be carried, a conservative leaning idea. I find it reasonable to a point.

Things written 50-100 years after he supposedly died.

I disagree

This.

What? Are you fucking kidding me? The alt right shits on us more than the fucking liberal chicks do. They call us "christcucks". They always shitpost on our generals on /his/

He's right I'm glad Christians are assblasted by this

It's rational and non-emotional because it's based on fact and logic. There are zero contemporary accounts of Jesus' existence. One guy named Josephus made a vague mention of him ~30 years after he supposedly died.

Irrational and emotional is "believing in Jesus." It's amazing how backwards Sup Forums anti-intellectuals are. There is no group of people, living or dead, less intelligent than Sup Forums.

>*liberal cucks

A core part of alt right propaganda is that traditional "Christian culture" is being demonized in the west.

>what are fairy tales

Letters to Emeperor Trajan? Tacitus confirming Pontius Pilate and the entire trial?

You're fucking small time dude

Hey man, you seem pretty smart. What level of evidence would you suggest all the historians throughout history and those professors with PHDs should use for deciding historical existence, because the one they use now is obviously so flawed.

Also, who should rewrite the history books and erase all mention of the thousands of histrocial figures with as much or less evidence for existence as Jesus.

I mean, I don't know why there's academia around this subject, you obviously know better than the experts.

Please do not respond to bait.

Brad can't sink any lower

>marry a titless goblin
>adopt 10 brown kids that don't look anything like him
>Criticize Christianity

No, that's the mainstream view you fucking idiot. They call us "Christ cucks", you don't know more than me about this.

Make a fucking thread on Sup Forums yourself. Many of the alt rights top dudes are out right atheists. Not even my words but their own and hold a similar view to Nietzsche that we're a religion of limp wristed who idolise slave morality

>he worships a dead flying imaginary jew
Might as well also pray to the floating spaghetti monster

It was going for the non-religious alt-rights. I guess there are others too.

> Documented in teh same century of his death (20 - 40 years after depending on what source you believe, both secular and religious)
> His movement was already a problem for both Jews and Romans two or three decades after his death
> Apparently there wasnt one central figure
> The Romans or the Jews never contended the christian about their 'fake' messiah
> Jews have Jesus in their religous works

If you are talking about bias, every historical figure that was well regarded had a bias to there life; but that doesnt mean they didnt exist. The numerous Christs argument is baseless and is atheists attempt to disparage Christianity.

I thought atheists were supposed to be logical, but seem to froth at the mouth and lose reason when religion is mentioned.

>guy who's married to a Woman who treats orphans like they're fashion accessories thinks he can judge other people
yeah, no

They have no idea what stereotypes to use anymore.

>Racist southerners
Most of the black population is southern.
>Stupid
There's no such thing as a wise far-leftist. They can be smug and even host television shows, but definitely not experienced or intelligent. It's honestly the pot calling the kettle black when they result to this character assassination.
>Fat
Women are quickly growing more and more obese in the West. Women are also outrageously left-leaning.
>Xenophobic
Says the idiot to someone of southern culture.
>sexist
Our mothers and belles all but force men to make the decisions and work hard. Not our fault our women are women.
>truckers
Hardcore liberals don't even know what the type of trucker they're attempting to refer to is called.
>Christian
At least we just let gays know they're committing a sin (not that they don't know). Better than Muhammad and the rope he's got for that pencil neck of yours.

Now it's "alt-right," a literal internet meme. They're now sticking an internet meme in with the usual nonsensical bullcocky. We're somehow far-right alt-rights. The ride never ends with these morons.

>2016
>still being christian
kek

>True wisdom from a guy paid to play pretend

Salty because you do it for free here?

Kek remember how it use to be fashionable for white celebs to adopt non-white kids? Fucking lol, history makes fools of us all

This whole argument is fucking stupid because the alt-right is a catch-all term for the internet's right wing community. It consists of everything from neo-nazi pagans (the people calling you christcuck) all the way to Christian monarchists.

I'm not him. I'm also an atheist and not a Sup Forumslack.

But, he's right. The left constantly defends Islam and constantly attacks Christianity. This is so incredibly illogical and inconsistent that it proves that a huge swath of leftists are actual bullshit artists.

The truth is that Christianity is far more liberal than Islam.

Islam is the greatest illiberal force on Earth. It is the single greatest foe of modernity, logic, reason, women's rights, gay rights, non-believers rights, democracy, etc etc.

Christianity is a bee sting, Islam is a bullet.

Do you think the children crawl out of Jolies hair like ticks every morning? Do you Brad cries himself to sleep every night over cacophony of sounds that is home?

The alt right is just the right wing version of social justice warriors. They're united in being obnoxious, unintelligent, dogmatic, and can be commonly found attempting to turn any and every youtube video or article comment thread into neo-Nazi propaganda something related to identity politics. It's basically Sup Forums. There's a lot of different "beliefs," but all of them are brainwashed and stupid.

Now in english, meapilas.

Its very logical. A muslim population in a western country will divid the community and a Christian one wont.

im sure this made more sense in your pea brain but it's actually a dumb and bad insult

the only person pretending here is you, pretending you don't suck dicks on the reg

As opposed to moderates who dont have to balls to stir the pot a bit. Lets be real, you wouldnt give a fuck which way the world goes as long as you dont have to face conflict

Explain. I don't understand what you mean.

>As opposed to moderates who dont have to balls to stir the pot a bit

You think the entire population can be classified into regressive left and alt-right, a bunch of children throwing tantrums on social media?

I use reason to arrive at my beliefs, labels like "moderate" don't concern me. You're a retard and that doesn't make you brave, internet crusader. Go back to Sup Forums.

Well, a country of a single ethnic group with a single or multiple non agressive religions will be alot more united as a population, where as a country with many groups will be more divided as a nation
If you are European and have no problem with the way that the west is heading I seriously dont know what to tell you. I can only imagine that youre either brainwashed or too afraid to speak up.

What a bizarre rambling post.

Ok, here's reason:

Some races have higher average IQs than others due to their evolving in differing and unique local environments.

Marginal tax policy cannot mitigate this genetic difference. People like you who think that it can are not using logic nor reason.....you are merely thinking the exact way that you were taught to think for the first 20 years of your life.

Jesus is everything. I will pray for you.

You can have a problem with the way with west is heading without being a neo-Nazi shill trying to blame it on the Jews like a neo-Nazi drone, without having words like "cuck" or "nu-male" in your vocabulary, without being a right wing social justice warrior who denies historical events or rewrites them to push an agenda, etc.

The alt right isn't defined by their beliefs, they don't really have any. Everyone on Sup Forums is a brainwashed, dumb drone. They're the same as SJWs.

He's right. Apocalypto is a much better movie than Jesus Chainsaw Massacre

Guys I am unironically a Christian, am I part of the dreaded alt right?

>we
WE

First based jonah now based mel? Is bradd pitt tryibg to be hated?

You just schizophrenically invented a profile for someone that includes "denying racial differences" because you're from Sup Forums and your brain is addled. Sup Forums meme spammers think Race Vs. IQ is the be all end all of science -- that because they need that particular bit of proposed objectivity to push their agenda, that makes them pro-science. Never mind the fact that the alt right denies science routinely, including statistics linking religiosity to low IQ. Including linking racism to low IQ. Including linking collectivism and nationalism to low IQ.

You're a shitty, stupid person.

Brainwashed by who? The media and Education institutes?

Look at it this way, user: the Sup Forums board culture's so fucked it's all but impossible to accept a statement like "I am unironically a Christian" at face value anymore. Not that it's in any wise your fault; the problem is you're literally the only one who'll ever really know the truth of what you've said.
