>but I prefer lust for life over the idiot

That's fair, but I really appreciate how grimy and industrial The Idiot sounds. I consider Dum Dum Boys the anthem of the late 70's.

Yeah i completely understand your reasoning both are fantastic

Yeah i find myself swapping discovery and mm food in and out a lot, never could get into old. Ill check out your rec

Included a lot of operas/choral music in this chart! (bit biased to ones I've been in whoops)

>Currents
Flaming Lips (Soft Bulletin, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots)

Mega newfag, gimme some recs

:^)

im getting surprisingly good response to my taste, although ive never seen anyone on this board with this sort of chart. Looking for recs

if your getting good response to your taste its because its irl. your taste is pretty normie. listen to more experimental hip hop and its subgenres

this isnt good

listen to quasimoto and more experimental stuff

Nice bait faggot
Read the wiki, and come back when you have better taste.

Hella - The Devil Isn't Red

I guess I'm gonna start coming here again. I love all recs.
A month of somedays- s/t.
If you're really new than just leech of of others charts dude.
Stinky Smelly - Strange
A month of somedays - s/t

What do you like, I could give you some random recs

that's me

As much as I dislike hip-hop, it's still refreshing to see someone who is passionate about one genre instead of a bunch of unrelated mu-core like myself and others

Lovesliescrushing - Xuvetyn (Shoegaze/Drone, on par with Loveless, personal favorite and extremely underrated)
Gasp - Drome Triler of Puzzle Zoo People (Powerviolence/Noise Rock that incorporates tape music and sound collage)
Menace Ruine - The Die Is Cast (Drone Metal with Darkwave woven in)
Goji-sanpun (Japanese shoegaze)
Coaltar of Deepers - Yukari Telepath (Shoegaze/Alt-metal)
Lift to Experience - The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads (Shoegaze/Post-Rock, you probably know of this but it's an all-time favorite of mine)
Bark Psychosis - Hex (Post-Rock/Ambient, you may also know of this)
Animus - Poems for the Aching, Swords for the Infuriated (Fuzzed out barely Black Metal bordering on shoegaze, wild card release but its an incredibly pained album and frequently uses repition)

Hope these help, you seem to be mostly a fan of noisy music for its use of texture.

Dude can tell you're not into hip hop cos if you were you would notice that its a generic chart.

is it really generic just because it isnt filled with a bunch of obscure rappers

...

Prog chart please

Also I don't know how I forgot these

Belong - October Language (Noise/Drone)
Yellow Swans - Going Places (Noise/Drone)
Grouper - A I A (Ambient/Drone compilation, includes Dream Lossand not just Alien Observer)

Holy shit, fucking thank you. I'll check all of these out.

Start listening to drone and atmoblack, those are the only 2 genres of metal that Sup Forums respects

You could easily transition into sludge metal and stoner metal

Acid Bath - When the Kite String Pops (Sludge)
Black Pyramids - Black Pyramids (Stoner/Sludge)
Darkspace - Dark Space III (Atmoblack, heavy space theme, I think you'll enjoy it)
Elder - Dead Roots Stirring (Stoner Metal/Stoner Rock)
MindFunk - Dropped (Grunge/Alt-Metal)
Lurker of Chalice - Lurker of Chalice (Atmo-black/Dark Ambient)
Ulver - Bergtatt (Atmoblack, dark folk)
These will set you up to explore their genres further if you so wish, I especially recommend the Acid Bath, Black Pyramids, and then Ulver if you want to get into black metal.

...

Any reccs?

listening to Mary Margaret O'Hara - Miss America right now and think u would like it

Basic Channel

Pleasant chart, sadly don't have recs

lol

thank you, digging this a lot

Do you literally only listen to nu-male met?

...

>Rainbow - Rising
My nigger

You're a gloomy guy but I like it, you might be into Long Fin Killie, or some Grouper, or even Les Thugs youtube.com/watch?v=rsf_8Q8b6tw
Try out Steriolab if you're ino quirky/out there pop, and you might like Tindersticks or Busdriver if you wanna into more weird hip-hop youtube.com/watch?v=2iu7Cd9-ZjA
You probably should just try and branch out from Sup Forumscore, try some Failure, or Coil or Unwound

>You're a gloomy guy....

Post 1/2

I know you get shit on but you have a solid list and as long as you enjoy listening to music you're dping better than half this board that feels obligated to listen to shit they don't even like to impress strangers on the internet. You do you. I'm gonna write you a few paragraphs because I like your list and I know that you'll probably like at least one thing I list here.

Have you not heard Earl Sweatshirt or do you just not like him? I know you have to be aware of his features in Tyler's music and on Really Doe off of Danny Brown's album. If you want to try him out I'd say start with Doris then the Earl mixtape, then IDLSIDGO. He's worth listening to.

You should also check out Strange Music Inc if you've never heard them.
Tech N9ne collabos - Strangulation volume 1 is a good jumping in point as it has features from all the members in the collective and a really interesting cypher that is split throughout the album that has like 15 different people over the same beat but split in to 4 cyphers spread across the album, it's pretty ingenuitive hearing multiple artsists with their own styles on the same beat. You specifically would maybe enjoy Ces Cru - The Playground and/or Constant Energy Struggles, Tech N9ne - Therapy Mixtape and Sickology 101 and/or All 6's and 7's. Another member of SMI that you may like is Prozak. He maintains a really sinister composure and mind state. I can't remember the album name off the top of my head but the song Vigilante and the album that it's on is really good. I mean the song opens with him beating crackheads with baseball bats but it's hilarious at points desu.

You may also check out Vinnie Paz - God of the Serengeti. Phillidelphia, PA based and the dudes been rapping for a long time. Vinnie Paz is also a founding member of Jedi Mind Tricks which is another good collective group that's been dropping albums for 20 odd years.

2/2
Aesop Rock. Dude at least give him a try. The Impossible Kid is probably his most digestable album and it's his newest out too. Float is also golden imo and definitely worth a listen, so is Labor Days. He did a lot of work with El-P back in the day (who is half of Run the Jewels). Aes is kind of an aquired taste and he's usually a love him kr hate him artist so you may not care for him but you're robbing yourself if you've never giben him a shot.

Just a few other artists and albums you should check too:
>Outkast - Atliens
>Dirty Heads - Sound of Silence
>Hail Mary Mallon - Beastiary (specifically the song Kiln)
>¡MAYDAY! - Believers
>Method Man, Ghostface Killa, Raekwon the Chef - Wu Massacre. Idk if you've heard this but you'll probably like it.
>Rhyme Asylum - State of Lunacy (British Hip Hop and suprisingly amazing record. You'll either hate it or love it, really no in between with these guys)
>Rittz - White Jesus Revival

Anyway that's my long ass shit of a list that will hopefully give you an afternoon of new music to listen to. And remember this is the second most political board next to Sup Forums, don't worry when pretentious cunts shit on what you like because it's not a carbon copy of their list.
