Netflix can't accept anything existing until they are able to sjw it up

it was so bad...

I dunno where to start. All of it was SO fucking bad.

If they wanted to make a story like this, I don't know why they bothered making it death note or death note characters. It did nothing to show newcomers what death note is like and it clearly was not meant for fans of the series, so what is the point? Now everyone can shit on it for being awful to the source material (as they should) and whatever merit it might have had will be thoroughly overlooked

Why indeed. What a fucking shitfest.

To make money. You can delete thread now

Do you really think something this poorly received made money? And it was not hard to predict that it would be poorly received, so...

Cowboy Bebop is next...

dont you put that evil on us!

I understand why they chose L's actor. He was pretty good in Get Out. Americans just have to Americanize everything

Haven't seen it, how bad is it?

Honestly he did an ok job in the beginning, even though it was still retarded to make L black. But they had no confrontation and no cat and mouse with Light and there is really never any point in the world that L should be chasing Light with a gun

It's happening. Reeves is to play spike.

The only aspect I liked was Willem Dafoe as Ryuk and he was barely in it.

...

Yea but they said that 8 years ago too. I can only hope they look at this disaster and feel it isnt worth the effort. I don't think Reeves is a bad pick, but live action adaptations just dont work out

I don't have netflix

>and people wonder why I'd rather just watch something starring Asians instead of people pretending to be Asians
But yes, as another user said, it was to make money...particularly by tapping into the weeb/otaku subculture and trying to 'draw in' more of that particular capital from that particular demographic (of fans).

But of course, they fucked it up.

Bring on the nukes

Netflix doesn't charge per view. If it flunks we all forget about it and they only "wasted" a small amount of investors cash over all.

The ending was confusing. Did L write Light's name on the page? I did not read the original story so I'm at a loss...

They did the same thing Hollywood did with the Marvel Comics. They took something completely retarded with a storytelling that wouldn't appeal to anyone above 12, and made something mediocre out of it a larger demographic can stomach.

>It did nothing to show newcomers what death note is like

It was never trying to do that you weeb. It just borrowed the premise and character names to make their own thing.

You may not like it. But they weren't trying to introduce people to your fuckin cartoons.

Fucking terrible beyond belief. The main actor was so awful I was yelling at the television. It was like some rich kid got his dad to produce some movie about an anime he heard was trendy, with him starring in it.

I have not seen anything this bad in a long, long time.

Well that's a dumb goal to have and the movie's ratings are showing that. No one was interested in them borrowing the premise for a new thing

watch the original anime ffs do you really think any americanized live action death note would be good

That's why they SHOULDN'T have used Death Note characters. Imagine someone taking characters from your beloved show and then shitting all over it by NOT STICKING TO THE SOURCE MATERIAL.

You'd be equally as pissed.

I liked Netflix because they had (almost) all of the Power Rangers seasons at least.

>Well that's a dumb goal to have

No one asked you if that was a dumb goal to have. Not once. You may not like it but they weren't trying to introduce people to your fucking cartoons.

You guys know anything good on Netflix? Im trying to find something to watch.

Oh so your posts are just bait? They clearly didn't ask anyone because no one is a fan of what they did

I'm looking forward to seeing Cowboy Bebop tackle issues such as Black Lives Matter, Feminism, White Supremacy, Fascism, and many more.

Netflix just wanted to milk the weebs that would watch the show dumb ass

Please try to explain and save me having to watch it myself.

I try my best not to devote any extra brain cells to that movie. I think the point was that L was struggling between proving Light right pursuing his brand of justice, or sticking to his own ideals knowing Light gets away with it all. So even if L wins by killing him, he loses. Doesn't really matter what happens

Luther, Okja, a series of unfortunate events, house of cards. Netflix is massive

You know he's right tho

Was Okja actually good? It looked like a poorly written nag fest like snow piercer.

except no one can watch that and rate it positively. it might cause you to binge out on other anime as a palate cleanser, but I'm even avoiding the original death note to avoid flashbacks

Totally. Also the defenders sucked.

I didnt say any one would watch it im just saying their intentions

Imo, they could have made it better had they stretched it out into a short series. They tried to squeeze too much info into too little time slot. They could have gotten into more detail.

Actually it's equal opportunity in what it makes fun of. It skewers the animal rights movement. There is a scene where the leader of the animal liberation front beats one of his own half to death.

Because

Watched the trailer and thought what is this bullshit L is a nigga a fucking building crashed i thought is some kind gay action movie or what but we all know anime adaption live action movies are pure shit

I couldn't make it through it, was there at least swimming lessons at the end?

ITT

>angry weabz

I stopped watching when L. was a niggerfaggot.

Genius

lol L is a nigger

Naruto is next I hear Samuel l Jackson is to play naruto. And James Franco will be sauske

True i fucking hate all of these shitty super hero movies coming out. When are these terrible movies going to stop

Implying the real live actions for death note were bad, or that shit flix needed to make this scat porn called death note.

>when Sup Forumss in love with a movie you hate and you have to post on Sup Forums

No one asked you if anyone asked him. Not once. You my not like it but not all posts have to be answers to fucking questions.

>mfw im currently watching it

like. imagine they took the source material, the looked at db evolution, they tried to be that, but somehow lost its way, and then turned it onself, then turned it around to please the fans, but then turned it around to be displeasing and its own thing, then turn it around again to please the fans.
