shitheads vote for a shithead.

No cause you are that retarded, you cant even follow what they established.

We do not live in a democracy in America. We live in a republic with democratic ideas........you're a colossal faggot op.

i mean every system of government has some flaws, the biggest problem with american democracy is the money in politics. most democratic countries have strict controls on campaign finances but not america

Yes, but that's not why. They would be sickened to their core if they saw that elections are basically bought.

Nope. Big government (mainly liberals) kept changing it bit by bit to gain power. But it worked because that cunt Hillary lost.

>not a democracy but a republic
I don't speak American. I hear this sentence a lot. Can someone explain what people mean by this?

It means fascism and white supremacy

There were no professional politicians during the days of the founding fathers.
You were expected to serve the country then go home to your farm/business.
Donald Trump is probably the only President the founding fathers would approve of since JFK.

>maybe we should try communism instead
Maybe you stop being so retarded

Sure. Just less flawed than many others.

Always said by anti-democratic fascists/racists. America is a democratic republic. The term 'republic' in this context is quite pointless. America is still democratic, but the democracy is flawed.

it basically means that electing representatives isn't really democracy in action. It's basically said whenever a rep goes against their platform to get elected and some asshole wants to defend their actions.

Not even a republic, you colossal faggot.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges.
– Tacitus (Annales, III:27)

It means MuriKKKans are the stupidest creatures on the planet. They are supremely proud of their lack of education.

You're all dumb, the terrorist organisations are run by banks. Afghanistan is US asset they need it to keep iran in check if they ever want to takeover Iraq and also take all afghanistans resources poppy fields, those terrorists in al Qaeda work for the CIA. The president does not run the economy hahah they don't really know much. The war on terror is bullshit 2001. Al Qaeda in Syria is also assets of UK france etc bankers they're all mercenaries. US chose Saudi Arabia over iran in the Wahhabi war for muslim control

>the democracy is flawed.

Which is why it was setup as a constitutional republic, to work against the much more rabid and inevitable death more pure democracies suffer because people are stupid and easily influenced into voting for stupid country killing ideas on a whim.

muslims are scum and need to be exterminated
youtube.com/watch?v=-UZZbvqCZiw

Sadly, all of this is true.

We've been going much longer than nearly anyone else with our system and have become the most powerful country on earth.
Nice try homo.

...

orange conman won the election with fewer votes so yes, it is flawed.

It's less about the form of government and more about the economic system which allows companies to influence government.

why don't you google "gerrymandering"

nope it worked as intended

what happened is mega corporations and entities began to influence politicians, their masses, and media while subverting entire generations through biased views and outright lies.

Oh and ISIS is keeping turkey and Saudi arabia from clashing with iran in syria, once they are gone there will probably be a new war and US has their new SDF proxy state in Syria thanks to ISIS wiping out everything then getting their asses handed to them by the anti isis coalition

how much was it after all the illegals voted?

Pretty much everythings corrupt including the US government and Trump really can't change much, look at Afghanistan, he's just continuing what is already happening. He is just going to militarize the country heavily so don't you all become domestic terrorists now...and he is apart of the elite hahaha

The founders themselves knew that democracy was fragile, which is why they established a government where only men with an economic stake in the country could participate (now women and welfare scum vote), and one which many insisted would only work if the people had a well-developed religious sensibility (today, atheists hold most of the microphones, and even religious people are half-assed). So they knew what the risks were, and we ran headlong towards the risks, and this is the result.

proof that there was illegal voting?

The only voters caught that I saw were trump voters

>most democratic countries have strict controls on speech
fify

Of course, retards who have no understanding and are poorly or misinformed altogether can vote...
On a deeper level, democracy in the US has been a lie since it acquired private centralized banks...

Yes. The wage gap must be fixed whether it's actually a problem or not. If the gap grows too large and too many perceive to be taken advantage of then they will vote for socialism and they will have the numbers. Democracy is dumb because people are dumb.

We are all cattle on a tax farm, accept this then try to spend your life doing things you enjoy.

Hillary got significantly more votest than Obama in the 2008 Dem primaries, but Dems were fine with that

>it's flawed because the candidate I hate won

Are you fucking 12? The Founding Fathers would have HATED what the media's turned American politics into.

>38

It means that the electorate doesn't vote to decide what the laws and policies are; it votes to choose representatives who then decide on those laws and policies.

It's a decent system, but in recent decades politicians have been pitching the idea that when elections don't go a certain way, that those elections are somehow invalid.

The most obvious and recent example is the current administration; the political left in America (roughly, the center in European politics) does not accept the election as valid and is seeking to overturn it by looking for grounds for impeachment, and by holding their breath until they turn blue, or whatever.

It's not supposed to work that way. The losing side in an election should take it as a rebuke from the electorate, and modify its aims and arguments to deal with the fact that the electorate doesn't agree with them. But the modern left is convinced that their aims and methods are correct, and that it is the electorate that needs to be corrected. When Americans complain about 'elitism', it's that attitude that they mean.

then why wasn't she the candidate?

...

well put, user
Dems haven't won white voters or married voters
or especially marrieds with kids for ages, but they never ask why. They just assume the worst of whites and marrieds and encourage more single black families (99% Dem voters).

Because as with the 2016 election, delegates are chosen geographically rather than by a national popular vote, and Obama won more delegates, though he lost the popular vote.

>34

>by holding their breath until they turn blue
The Resident Dump will shut down the government unless he gets his Beautiful Wall.
There are already two walls along the US-Mexico border.
Let him hold his breath until he turns black.

You were fine with rule by executive order the previous 8 years

>99

>electoral college should be abolished
>let's allow California and New York to decide each election

No.

Electoral colleges maintain a semblance of American identity in politics. Our nation needs one.

I did not know that. Funny thing is I actually wanted Hillary over Obama back then.

If he increased taxes on the 1%, I think that most people would be fine with it.

It's not a matter of it the candidate the majority of people hate winning, it's a matter of a candidate who is objectively unfit for office of any kind becoming President.

Our founding fathers recognized that there are going to be a lot of idiots in a country no matter what. Which is why they set up the government as a constitutional republic. Which was a smart thing to do. Just look at how much people are better off in America than the rest of the world.

The big problems are:

Accountability. There is nothing to make presidents follow through on campaign promises.

Anti-American sentiment. There is no punishment for the people actively working to harm the country. Democracy only works when interests are aligned mostly in the same way. See: USA in 1940 vs USA in2017. In current year, one side would gladly gas the other, and that isn't good for the country.

you seriously think it was all set up to favor Trump? if that is seriously what you think, you must be a form of retarded that has not been documented yet.

...

Well... kinda.

In a democracy the people vote on every issue.

In a republic, the people elect representatives to convey their interests to the assembly and vote on issues in their stead.

The founding fathers were classically educated. They knew the examples of Athens and Rome. Athenian democracy was tumultuous at best, prone to tyranny of the individual or the majority at worst. So they looked to the Roman republic as an example of a more stable model.

This is a replay of the Harding administration, after the Wilson administration.

Wilson was beloved by foreign leaders, by the press and by academics (he was a college professor).

He gave the country a horrible economy (inflation running over 100% per year), involvement in a pointless foreign war (WWI),
and many thousands of loyal Americans tried and jailed for protesting that war.

After he died, Harding was elected. He was the opposite of Wilson -- not professorial in the least. The media (especially Menchen) hated him, the academics hated him, and his opponents called him crude and stupid. But he healed the scars of the war and the sedition trials in America, got the economy back on track and set the stage for a couple of decades of peace and prosperity.

The Left has never forgiven Harding for fixing the things that Wilson broke, and he's usually written off (by them) as a failure, who only managed to get elected because Americans are stupid.

It's the same situation, plus about 100 years.

no, it was all set up by republicans to favor republicans. Trump is a republican though

...

You hate him because he won over the people.

Let's be honest here. You were promised Hillary by the whole media. Trump should not have won, but he did.

The electorate voted accordingly.

>Is the democracy that our founding fathers established in this country fundamentally flawed?

someone outside the entrenched political bureaucracy winning the oval office isn't a failure. family dynasties are

>i will wave words pretending they have meaning because they're mine

>he won over the people.

you have the memory retention of a gerbil

and?

...

most of them illegally cast

As I said, you make it popular vote only, you have two states deciding each election.

...

But then Trump threatened nuclear war with North Korea so what's your point.

>infowars
>real citation needed

Yes. But the supreme Court voting to allow political corruption in the form of obscene campaign donations and unlimited independent spending on the campaign's of politicians is responsible for most of the issues in American politics today.

>InfoWars

cheated and still lost
fucking lol

>As I said, you make it popular vote only, you have the people deciding each election.
ftfy

I bet you'd be all about the popular vote if it favored republicans

...

>cheated

Saturday night and here you are crying on the internet.

>Is the democracy

Our country is not a democracy. It is supposed to be a Republic, but somewhere along the lines it became an oligarchy.

>mob rule in America

Why this?

moot for president.

>implying infowars is anything resembling a reliable source

Even if Her Reptilian Majesty had been invested with the orb and scepter, democracy in the US died when the Second Bank of the United Snakes passed into private hands.

obviously

...

...

Not true.

All governments are flawed.
Constitutions get old, and wars are fought to create new ones.
Though not sure how it will work these days... since everyone is pretty fat and just hysterical, and not really serious about civil war.

>sentiment
Soon to be corrected. Big Brother is watching.

Not that guy, but do you think this is tin foil?
Asking for scientific purposes.

Democracy will always end in idiots ruling over idiots.

actually it's aluminum foil.

You're the idiot...
