How do you watch?

Hey Sup Forums, how do yall watch? Cable/satellite? Torrent after air? Kodi?TV/monitor/laptop/phone? Eat popcorn? Get hammered? Do you watch a show as it airs, or wait for the season to drop online?

What is the ritual?

Record television directly to my computer and watch on my monitor
while browsing Sup Forums in the background

It all depends, my man. I use Apple TV which is sweet. For HBOGO, Netflix, Hulu, Showtime. Also TCM app on iOS or desktop very often either airplay or HDMI to tv. Plex for PS4 and iOS is cool. Watch movies and flicks in bed on 6s Plus w/ bluetooth speaker and its comfy.

Watch some stuff as it airs. Just V. Principals and MDE now, south park tonight. iZombie, Flash, The Americans. Empire is guilty pleasure.

and you better believe i stay high af

Deeeecent, who's your provider? I want cable but can't justify the dough involved. And why record it if you watch it live?

Dank, depends on the show, sometimes I can't follow jack shit blazed, other shit is unwatchable unless I get stoned to the gills. Is there much difference between apple tv and something like chromecast? or those (bizarrely legal) android set top boxes?

>What is the ritual?

>Xanax
>Watch TV or kinography
>Wake up in an agitated haze remembering nothing and scrambling to recall what I even watched
>Repeat

i'm not american
>And why record it if you watch it live?
ad breaks, no incentive to watch shit live when i can't participate in live threads anyway
can screencap/make webms of scenes i jerk off to

So are bars part of the viewing ritual, or is viewing part of the bars ritual?

Not well versed in roku, fire, chromecast, so i cant really say. It has a number of apps, i only have the last gen, and it's convenient for airplay meaning you can stream to and from phone to tv or mac to tv. iTunes media plays through it, like Plex media plays on PS4. I only personally pay for Hulu, but use parents' login info for everything else so it's not bad.

I just started fucking w the FX app on iOS to check out Atlanta but i cant do the commercials, probably gonna. Simpsons world on that app has commentary which is pretty awesome and no commercials.

>go on hdbits.org
>find an amazing encode (usually about 30gb)
>I use my 50'' tv as my monitor for my pc so all I have to do is load it up with MPV
>drink and watch movies until I pass out
Watching sopranos rn on 20mg of oxycontin and 2 glasses of red wine

Nor am I, still curious though. Is a subscription actually worth where you hail from? Costs a good chunk of canadough up here

>Watching sopranos rn on 20mg of oxycontin and 2 glasses of red wine

Parachuted a ten then snorted fifteen
Stopping once I run out though

Whatever is easier for me. If I want to watch a movie that I have not heard of and its on cable/satellite I just log in. If its on Xfinity I log into a Xfinity account. Or if DirecTV has it I log into DirecTV. After I am done watching the movie I might log into PTP and download it. Of course if it's not on any cable/satellite provider I just download it from PTP. If I don't want to fuck up my already good ratio (autism) I check if tehc or another tracker/ website like SIG has it.

>ptp
>fuck up your ratio
m8 it's basically ratioless if you permaseed and only download gp's

-TV-
I have Kodi linked up to my laptop, my tablet (mobile access to my stuff as well as a remote control app) & to my smart-enabled 42 in Phillips LCD flatscreen. I use the SALTS addon for watching anything new (Exodus just in case SALTS is being finicky) & the Realdebrid addon to guarantee reliable 1080 streams.

-Film-
I use Bitche (a lightweight, bloat-free scraper) to download any & all film media I may want or need through uTorrent2.2.1. I buy physical media only when it's something I truly love (my Criterion collection, Godzilla collection, etc)

I envy no man

>m8 it's basically ratioless if you permaseed and only download gp's
I know its ratioless but I just don't like to see my ratio go down. If I can avoid it I feel much better.

Yeah that's autism

Is PTP invite only? I'm basically a retard when it comes to private trackers

You just called it a private tracker, what do you think.

Lol pornbay just lets you sign up

give it a shot

Have Directv for things as they air and news or whatever else for people that come over. Also has TiVo for recording. Use Amazon Firestick to stream Netflix, MUBI, HBOGO, and movies that are available on prime and can be rented on there. Also have a bluray player for DVDs/Blu Rays. Try to buy most movies if I can and if I'm unsure I'll rent it on amazon. All of this goes through my HD tv in the living room, it's about 36 inches.
I used to download from torrents and play them through he television but I've gotten too many notices from my internet provider about downloading so I don't do it anymore.

>not being on private trackers
you deserve those love letters

showbox + amazon fire tv stick

I use torrent and warez, when I like something I look through its "Customers also Bought" on Amazon and download anything that looks good, or sometimes I might make a thread here and ask for recs

During the day I'll just smoke a few bowls before watching something, maybe snack on some cheese and crackers during. If it's the evening I'll drink bourbon

I still use antenna TV. Eventually I intend to set up my own DVR to better utilize it. Otherwise, for pirated media I run a Plex server.

>neck yourself

>saying "neck yourself"

The resolution and retina display are beautiful. It's a big picture, relative to my viewing distance. I love David Lynch but "phones" have come a long way.

Kodi if everyone else in the household is asleep and torrent/kisscartoon if I don't have dibs on the living room. Most often watch films and cartoons, occasionally the odd series that piqued my interest.

My dad was partial to Sky for years before no longer using it, but he has a year free at the minute after canceling or trying to cancel a while back, so I've been using that to watch the occasional documentary.

Tea with honey is my favourite, and chilled fruit when we can afford it.
