No jokes here m8

True, but how else would you have want to go down. A coin flip is completely fair

Sudden death in a sport where offence and defence dont change on the fly is no completly fair though.

Shootout style OT is fair.

Pats score a TD. Falcons have to score a TD on their next drive.

The Pats were not out there by themselves. The defense is just as much a part of the team as the offence. They had 75 yards to stop them.

The falcons and Pats arent defencive teams.

The Owl OT rule is like having the world series decided in OT on "whoever scores next run wins"

Thats not saying the Patriots are the better team though.

Thats just saying the Patriots offence is better than the Falcons defence.

Literally only half the players played in OT.

The pats were top scoring defense. The falcons were fine defensively during the final stretch, only giving up points during garbage time making the overall stats look worse than they really were.

There was an entire 60 minutes played before hand. The Falcons let up 25 unanswered points. Do you really think the pats wouldn't've scored on every drive of an OT period and the falcons wouldn't 3 and out on their first drive? The pats defense was rarely on the field and the falcons defense was gassed.

Still isnt a fair rule.

Either make it another complete Quarter or a point matching. Coin tosses should not decide winners.

fuck off pierre

Speculation doesnt make it fair.

Did you really want to watch another complete quarter of the pats firing on all cylinders pulverising an already dead falcons D into the ground?

New score with your rules:

Pats 62 Falcons 34. (and several falcons defensive players literally dead) The idea is to end it ASAP for a reason

Your argument is entirely from speculation though...

There's no way the pats lose in another fully played quarter. Did you even watch the game?

If the Pats are actually the best team they would have ended it 2 minutes later anyway, since their defence would have made the Falcons go 3 and out.

But we'll never know since coin toss decided the Owl

>"theres no way..."

Literal speculation

Are you forgetting the Pats also gave up 25 points just like the Falcons?

Did you even watch the game? Had Shanahan let them kick a field goal it wouldnt have even gone to OT.

And if the falcons are the best team they would've stopped the pats in the 75 yards that they had. (Much less not blowing a 25 point lead) But they didn't

>Cant accept that his team only won off a coin toss

The game changes over the course of regulation. There's a thing called half time adjustments, the players are still human and get tired, dejected as well as fired up.

They didn't kick a field goal and they paid for it.

Not even my team but nice to see the fucking leaf resorting to >implying cause he doesn't have an argument

Your argument was that the game was decided on a coin-flip, but now it looks like it's not going for a FG. So which is it?

>Coin toss decided the Owl

Yeah, let's blame the coin for the Falcons' coordinators dumbass moves (their OC was calling plays like they needed the points when they needed to waste time. Atrocious clock management. This man is now the Niners head coach, so have fun with that, Santa Clara fans), the defense's lack of long-term stamina and playmaking, the offense's inability to score again after they had the Pats' number all first half (a field goal would likely have put it out of reach with everything that had to go right for New England)...

But yeah, let's blame a coin toss even though the Falcons had an entire game to prove they were the better team and put it away with a score or good clock management. Put the drugs down, user. They've made you delusional.

football is the most exhausting team sport in the world. As well as the most dangerous ever. Ending the game as quickly as possible after regulation is the best thing for everyone playing.

>blow 25 point lead
>b-but muh coinflip
a great team wouldn't let the opposing team force overtime in the first place. If you can't protect a 25 point lead for a quarter and a half you deserve to lose. Stop defending perennial chokers. Anyone who watches Atlanta sports knew it was inevitable they're cleveland tier

...

>muh coin toss
Reminder that teams getting the ball first in NFL OT win 54% of the time.

roger that
