OLYMPICS

Pyeongchang 2018
Tokyo 2020
Beijing 2022
Los Angeles/Paris 2024

Budapest just dropped out of the bid for the 2024 Olympics, so Los Angeles and Paris are the only cities left.

Do you guys think it'll go the US or France?

In other news, it's time to laugh at Brazil again:

>Fox News reports that the Macarena stadium, which received over $370 million for renovations for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Rio Games, is now covered in dead grass and rusted (and missing) seating. Many other venues are empty and in disrepair.

>The Olympic swimming pool has been abandoned and mosquito-ridden, while the Arena of the Future that meant to be broken up and transformed into four schools has not happened, according to a report by AFP. The new mayor, elected after the Olympics, says more time is needed to check the budget.

>“As a citizen, I’m very worried. I’ve learned not to trust politicians. If these schools don’t get built it will be a true fiasco,” Gustavo Martins, the project’s original architect, told the AFP.

As an American, I would say LA should get it. Even though I wish it was on the East Coast and no LA again, like North East.

>US or France

Impossible to say, there are a lot more subtleties of the bidding process and the requirements (as well as the bribing process) that I don't have information on.

I'd tip it toward France, though, for political reasons. The entire world is laughing at us right now.

According to this article, there have been concerns over the costs of hosting the Olympics in LA.

>Macarena stadium

>A host city abandons its olympic stadiums

What else is new?

>only two cities left

lel...will anyone even apply to be a host the next time?

But Trump is actively pushing for the Olympics to happen in LA.

Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028 elected in the same time to avoid another competition.

Screencap that

>Brazil is so shit now that BRs have started laughing at themselves.
Really makes you think...

which is exactly why Commiefornia will chimp the fuck out over it. same thing happened with the BP bid too. Orbán really wanted it so BP libcucks decided to JUST the whole project up only to fuck with him.

>b-but Trump is pushing for the Olympics in LA!

Trump is pushing for a removal of trans rights and a ban of brown people from the US.

Or did we already forget what happened to North Carolina?

Doesn't Paris have other things to worry about?

But Los Angeles isn't even bidding for the 2028 Olympics. Not yet at least.

Please let it be Paris. The Olympics is a total waste of taxpayer money.

>tfw Commies will literally go out of their way to be detrimental to their own needs for petty point scoring

Why would he support a liberal shithole that is calling for his head on a pike on a daily basis?

>sports are bad
>i am literally on a sports bulletin board

Brb gonna go to PornHub and tell them they're exploiting women, should go fine.

Paris might not get it thanks to the Paris attacks from ISIS in November 2015.
It showed to the world that mudslimes have invaded France and if Paris hosts the Olympics, it'll be the prime target for ISIS.
It'll be Munich all over again.

Because "Muh jobs for American citizens; muh America first policies; muh make America great again."

Are you surprised? That's always been their thing.
Though in this case they're right, the Olmypics are cancer. They're only useful if you want to show off your dankerino dictatorship like Berlin or Beijing.

>He doesn't know that China has been Capitalist ever since the policies of Deng Xiaoping.

>he thinks that capitalism, an economic system, and dictatorships, a form of government, are mutually exclusive

Just give it us again you incompetent fags

And Paris has ISIS insurgents ready to Allahu Akbar the fuck out of the city if Paris wins the bid for the Olympics.
Or did we already forget about the Paris attacks in 2015?

They probably want to give it to a country that will still exist in 2024 though

>Budapest just dropped out of the bid
>Paris as an option
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Can the UK even afford another Olympics after Brexit?

ISIS-chan guarantees that Paris 2024 doesn't happen in the first place.

>USA doesn't want it
>people with common sense don't want it in France either
What are the chances that the whole event is canceled?

>the Macarena stadium

>Macarena stadium
I know it's supposed to be the Maracanã Stadium, but this is just comedy gold.
