SHUT THE FUCK UP NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR KOREAN POP STAR FOR FUCK SAKE KILL YOURSELF

Definitely. Breakfast In America is one of the best albums of the 70s.

The Posies - Frosting on the Beater is fantastic power pop.

Skylarking is one of my favorite albums.

Tom Petty

i care and i'm the smartest guy here so you should care too

Wow autism

maybe you have autism because everybody likes choa

Yep

Crime of the Century [A&M, 1974]

The claim that this is the rock-and-roll of the future depresses me in spite of the amalgamation being a (moderately) smart one, and admittedly "Bloody Well Right" does display a gift for the killer hook. Now if only the song weren't an impassioned plea for complacency. Maybe if we close our eyes and ignore them, they'll go away. B-

...Even in the Quietest Moments [A&M, 1977]

Most progressive rock is most schlock that sounds good when played in the background. This is modest background schlock that sounds good when slipped into the ear. I guess we should thank Babaji, whichever one he is. C+

Breakfast in America [A&M, 1979]

I enjoy a hooky album as much as the next guy, so when this one elicited vague grunts of pleasure, I looked forward to listening in detail. But the lyrics turned out to be glib variations on the usual "Star Romances" trash, and in the absence of a vocal personality (as opposed to accurate singing) or rhythmic thrust (as opposed to a beat), I'll wait for this material to be covered by artists of substance, say Tavaris or the Doobie Brothers. C+

Everything Rocks and Nothing Ever Dies [1990s]

Go back to your containment general you faggot

why does anyone give a fuck what christgau/scaruffi/etc thinks? This boards' obsession with wanker critics is mind boggling.

>tfw the only Supertramp song you like is Goodbye Stranger

You have to admit, he did say the honest truth about Supertramp.

I don't know what Scaruffi has said about them desu.

Bloody Well Right is the best song they have

these are actually great. thx

Primus

Paul Simon, I rarely see Simon and Garfunkel posted and I've never seen his solo stuff here.

I see these all the time on Sup Forums

STRANGE THINGS ARE HAPPENING TO ME

soundonsound.com/techniques/classic-tracks-supertramp-logical-song

This is great read detailing a bit of supertramps studio process, also THIS

Tom Petty is such a great example of just American Heartland rock, catchy hooks without being the worst sellouts or cock rock-tier (aerosmith)

Early rod Stewart

Supertramp are average. Why do they need more respect?

>john Cale
He's great but you picked the wrong albums. You want the ones with theatre of eternal music and his collaboration with terry riley

They get tons of respect here. They're constantly talked about

Primos are shit

Blue Oyster Cult

...

I think floyd gets enough credit on here, you get guys trashing them sometimes but I think it's mainly a ruse.

This. BOC are fucking great and, barring an album or two in the mid 80s, their entire discography is gold.

They're just rush without a great drummer or bassist

They'd be better with more cowbell.
