What is the appeal of this genre? It's literally just old people music.
And not even cool old black people.
>poorly tuned guitar goes plink plonk plink plonk
>queer whimpers out the first page of mein kampf in hungarian

Good to see you, my friend! This thread is actually horrible.
Ah yes, Ordo Rosarius Equlibrio - they occupy an interesting position in neofolk if you ask me, insofar as they border so closely on the aesthetic of the "mainstream" European goth scene with their often synthetic sound and appeal to the sexual fetishes. When I saw them at Runes+Men 2016 it seemed like all the sexy little goth girls in their vinyl corsets had come exclusively for them (all the neo-nazis on the other hand seemed to have come for Blood Axis, while Death In June attracted an interesting mix of gay uniform fetishists, right-wing occultists and cute industrial boys/girls). I must admit I haven't listened to them extensively but I do love their split with Spiritual Front - an interesting collaboration as their only common feature is the over-the-top kinkiness of their music. I have to admit I think some of their music is a bit lacking in variation and attention to detail but lyricall they are great, so very dedicated to self-deification through ecstasy.

You are the least elegant person in this thread, closely followed by An old favourite.
Wow, this is excellent.
Nice. I guess we can welcome dark ambient here as well.

some acoustic
I love this, can't believe it's from 97. Timeless aesthetic.
Will continue listening while reading, finally getting around to Jünger's Der Waldgang.
I know it's pretty insane, it's so well made. I hate when people claim that alot of early electronic stuff has aged badly ( especially industrial) when I think it all sounds fresh and really was ahead of it's time and still invokes strong feelings.
