Buy it as soon as you feel like you're being held back by your current guitar.

You live in a country of 208 million people. I'm sure that you can find 10 of them to teach guitar to. Don't you have any reputation around the favela or high school for being a player? Cash in on your rep, bro.

how do i get a billy corgan tone?
Landon Hall

Luke Scott
>modded my Yamaha pacifica and it sounds really good now >plays great, comfortable neck, just wonderful all around >except the factory fretwork isn't perfect and it buzzes in some places Should I invest 100-120 bucks in a fretjob?
Cameron Gonzalez
sam will give you a blowjob for $20
Jeremiah Turner
No, just raise the action or adjust the truss a little. You're not gonna get that tight a specs on that.
Nathaniel Torres
That's precisely why I want the fretwork done, I'd like it to have a lower action without buzzing. It's not high by any standard, but I'd like it nice and low.
Grayson Scott
How low is it now? You're not gonna get it much lower than 2mm.
Nolan Flores
>your dunlop 6000 frets are 4 years old and needing some work
Caleb Perez
>2mm ...where? On what fret? And on what string? 1st fret capo'd or not?
Noah Stewart
2016 Elite Strat action ;-)
Isaiah Brown
12th fret, no capo, see That's mine.
Isaiah Foster
>no capo Then you have different nut heights in the equation. Capoing the 1st first just makes more sense. Low or high E string?
Jayden Flores
Low e, high E is lower by a half.
John Carter
Would a Jaguar or Jazzmaster work better for garage/alt/indie rock. I'm looking at the vintage modified versions of each so keep that in mind.
i have 3mm with a capo and i only dont raise it more because the intonation doesnt allow it
Anthony Brooks
No not really, at 2mm striking the string hard will cause buzzing, it looks good.
David Johnson
I would understand that on an acoustic but I just want the lowest action I can get away with on an electric guitar.
Justin Moore
I'm interested in a Vox AC15C1 on craigslist. Claims it's mint condition.
Asking price is kinda high at 450 I'm thinking about offering 350 maybe 400. Thoughts?
Kevin Richardson
Hmm, I literally have a lower action on my basses. But I guess basses do use significantly higher tension strings and I play with a significantly lighter touch than I ever could with a pick. Hmm....
Joshua Taylor
Woody Guthrie was a socialist faggot who made boring music and probably helped bring the downfall of America. He is a blight to this state's already bad reputation and his son Arlo made better music than him anyway, not that it would be very hard. In other words this
>tfw a bunch of shit I play is barred or just a lot of chord work
>tfw entire arms and hands hurt >considering taking drugs
get on my level
Logan Reed
I have one. extremely good cleans, very warm sounding. Reverb knob on it is almost non existent, and handles fuzz great as well, playing single coils at least.
Nathaniel Allen
It's really a preference and economics, This is Masic's action, it's insanely high.
Carson Butler
Yeah I love the Vox sound, I've heard that about the reverb but it's good to hear the C1s take fuzz well.
What do you think about the price?
Dylan Richardson
I know that it's preference, and I would prefer a lower action. But the question is whether that's feasible. There are limits even with perfect fretwork, so I'm trying to figure out whether it would make sense to have the fretwork improved.
Carter Taylor
>jazzmaster >cums
Isaac Nguyen

450 is too much, i got mine for 350 and other than being dusty it was practically new
Juan Gonzalez
I know both would work Im asking which would be better. Besides, bcs are ugly as shit
Zachary Brown

Kayden Howard
I just don't think it's worth the cost on a chance that you get .4 to .5 mm. That's just me I'd rather spend it on something else. Any lower for me and I'm buzzing on light strings(9's) with that Strat, I have a Jackson that's slightly lower with 11's that doesn't.

are G&Ls objectively better than Fenders, i just read the beginning to their wikipedia page and thats what it seemed like
Jayden Powell
I suppose. I'm using .010s but I'm not even sure if I want to stick with that. Guess I'll raise the action to almost 2mm and then see if I can get used to that.
Luke Powell

Quit instead, you are already too far behind the curve, you aren't talented enough already. People the same age are already miles ahead of your sloppy blues-rock mimic riffs and by the time you catch up to where they are now they will already be that much farther ahead of you.
If you continue one day you're gonna get home from your minimum wage job that you've been working at for years to pay bills 'til the 'guitar bux' start rolling in, you will look at your guitar, and you will realize you basically achieved nothing and never will. Not only that but you will actively dislike playing the instrument.

Also wondering the best place to go about selling this stuff. I know the S Prestige is pretty rare at least. Craigslist doesn't seem appropriate.
Damn, think I could get it for that down from 450? Never bought through CL before not sure how much people pad the listings.

i have been focusing on learning the blues and rocknroll all this long, while they were playing triads to a metronome with poor touch and shitty musical meaning. well maybe they got more musical with time simply because theyre happy. well i started working on technique and doing exercises since that video and i'm improving, playing faster and cleaner. i disagree that im not talented, it showed on my early lessons. look at what i can improvise late at night soundcloud.com/samuelcfaria/jam-a-guitarra-vive-forum-cifraclub-minha-participacao
is the first episode of guitar moves the best one (obviously outside of the maximum comfy dean ween episode)? seeing james williamsom play search and destroy was awesome
it was all about the hardware and wood with me. didn't feel right. i like the body of the SRs, light weight, easy to manuever. on the other extreme, the shecter i use is a whopping 15 pounds of swamp ash body and maple neck. the fretboard gives a very bright tone that's thickened out with the EMG pickups. i bought it through GC, had it shipped to the store and had no issues. i no that a good amount of anons here aren't US so a reliable store may be tough to find. i don't think i could buy an instrument from a private person, but if there's a store that's good i'm willing to give it a shot.
Dylan Smith
you can probably get it for at least 400 unless you live in the middle of nowhere
Thomas Robinson
I have a fender bass man 250 amp and recently it started only playing very quietly but at the same time very distorted, I found out the fuse was blown and replaced it and still no luck. Did I get a slightly different fuse that won't work for it or is it some other problem? Also it had done this before but it had somehow fixed itself and started working like normal again up until now.

I would like to try flatwound strings on my P bass.... again. When I had .045 daddario chromes on it I didn't really like it, but now I saw a comparison video with thomastik infeld flats and they sounded much better, and they're also lower tension which I would enjoy. But 60-70 bucks for a set of strings is a really tough sell obviously, what do?
Josiah Thompson
thanks man. if youre refering to those at 0:16 its like pinch harmonics but the muting is more intense so the note doesnt ring out that fingerpickd acoustic stuff seem complicated but ill be trying it

Wouldn't it be more simple to buy one rack mounted effects processor and then simple floorswitch with few presets? This has to be pain in the ass to use.
Landon Nelson
That's neatest instrument I've seen for long time. Hope it plays and sounds good too. Of course that donut near the nut looks very gay so I'm not sure...
Jayden Miller
How is it a pain to use? At least in my case it's mostly a matter of switching on the right pedals for the song or instrument I'm using.

tfw when you can't get rid of your silly looking custom shop BC Rich Warlock guitar that you had your parents buy you when you were an edgy 14 year old.
I wouldn't mind the edgy looks if the thing were comfortable to play, but the top "horn" digs into your lower chest and makes playing sitting down a pain.
Sebastian Robinson
Take a hacksaw to the spikes and edges and sand it all flush. Sand everything down and refinish it. Done.

I-I'll buy it from you desu

I considered taking it to a luthier to have the edges smoothed out, but that would only make it harder to sell.
