F
He toured with them too before Bruce was hired
>literally just released a final album titled 'AdiĆ³s'
holy shit my sides
>tfw he made the blackstar of country
The score is going to shoot up on RYM
...it was intended as his final album.
Holy fuck how do I get this good?
who cares about this hack?
country isn't even real music
It was kind of intended to be his last one though. He's had Alzheimer's since 2011 and was already really unwell when he recorded that album, so it's really not a surprise to hear he's died.
>yfw Brian Wilson wrote a song for him
youtube.com
Also, reminder that GC was one of the most-heard guitarists in the history of pop music. He played on HUNDREDS of hit singles in the 60's.
still funny as fuck
F
Also, I've only just realised that that's Glen behind Mike in this picture, so at least he'll live on through Sup Forums reaction images
...
>I'M A ADIOS
Brian is next
stfu
Your dubs rescued him
>"I wanna live"
>doesn't
>tfw I heard he was so far gone that he had to record it one line at a time because he could neither remember nor read the lines better than that
>tfw I found out he recorded it 5 years ago
Fuck, I don't want to think how bad he got in the last few years

Thanks for all the influence on guitar and your beautiful songs Glen.
Rip. Sticky please.
Motherfucker played on 586 songs in 1963 alone. One of the most underrated guitarists ever too.
RIP
I've been looking for his session statistics, where'd you find that figure?
>there was a sticky for Chester Bennington but not Glen Campbell.
In Rolling Stone's write-up about his death.
This new generation doesn't know good music
Why the fuck did we never get an American Recordings style guitar + voice album for Campbell?
The guy is literally one of the greatest guitarists ever and in 90% of his solo recordings his guitar is drowned by horrendous 70's string arrangements.
S T I C K Y
See you, Rhinestone Cowboy.
Mods are nu-males.
Here's one of his first records, think it's from 1960 or something.
Everyone's copying Bowie now
I swear to God if this doesn't get stickied...

His version of MacArthur Park will always be the only version to me. F
I was just bumping this nigga's albums earlier this year. I actually made a thread about him. GOTG2 got me interested.
He made some really good shit. F.
dementia is so utterly tragic, especially for someone like a musician
it runs early in my family and i honestly think i would just kill myself, or so i say now as a young man. i don't know, but it seems like one of the worst possible ways to die, not through agonizing physical pain but sheer mental horror as everything withers away, your ideals of love, brotherhood, even knowledge of your own family. in most deaths you can at least hold onto those things on your way out, but not like this. and that's not even saying anything about what it does to your loved ones watching this happen to you
God I love that film. I watch it sometimes when I'm ill and in need of some maximum comfiness.
Alzheimer's is such a horrible, horrible disease, I hope he finally finds some rest.
F
sicky pls, moderinos

This man is arguably one of the top 5 most important session guitarists in history. He literally played on everything from Pet Sounds to Stevie Wonder to this:

Sticky this thread you useless fucks. And clean out the Sup Forums cancer while you're off you asses..

>Gregg Allman didn't get a sticky
>Glen Campbell is not going to get a sticky
mods sticky this
the mods are edgy nu-male faggots, I doubt this thread will be stickied
I don't understand how this is funny. He intended for it to be his last album and has been suffering from Alzheimer's for years.
>Ornette Coleman didn't get a sticky
Is this accurate?
S T I C K Y
F
Maybe it's for the best he doesn't get a sticky. 98% of this faggot board doesn't like country.
Where's the fucking sticky? F
