Hey Sup Forums

Hey Sup Forums
i work here.
It's shit, complete shit. But i need to save up for Braces since my parents are low-incomed. I literally get treated like shit and it's so bad. Im in Grade 12 in high school and turned 18 today. It's so bad i wanna kms. its my second day here and its just bad.

I need to work there for 2 months and quit bc of school. How am i gonna survive?

The good news is you'll get used to the shit treatment and you can hardly get fired for anything. Also, McDonald's whores.

You want to kill yourself because you're 18 and work at McDonald's?

Some people have real problems. You have a lot of growing up to do.

Yeah, the manager today was like "clean up this shit" and im like "alrgiht, just dont kill me"
I didnt expect it to be like that.
Then again, fast-paced + low pay= bad service

I cant wait to quit and get away from this place.

It's not just that.
Idk about you guys, but Grade 12 is the most important year in school in general. If you f up, you fucked up your chances in getting into university. This job is literally taking up all my side hours to study + do homework.

So it's really stressful.

>Yeah, the manager today was like "clean up this shit" and im like "alrgiht, just dont kill me"

Dude, you can tell him to go fuck himself. He still won't fire you because they need you more than than you need them.

But yeah, the days go by quick when it's busy.

Complaining this much after only 2 days? Fuck man, suck it up you little snowflake.

I like my straight teeth as a result of my NHS braces. Enjoy capitalism

I worked in an ice cream outlet at theme park and let me tell you, it was the worst thing I ever did. But the money was handy for the teenage me, and it taught me that I never want to work in that sort of shitty place again. If you really care, you'll be able to pass grade 12 while still handling the job. Just remember to take nothing personally, take no pride in what you're doing, and get the job done.

Happy Birthday user. Even though most people won't appreciate you at that job, Know that I think you matter.

Having a shitty first job is part of growing up. Use it as motivation for finishing school and doing something with your life. Realize that would don't want to be in your mid twenties doing the same McJob.

Thanks user,
i had to apply there to get experience as it's my first job and i heard its good to have McDonalds on there so i decided to apply. Thereon Imma ovbs quit this shitty place and move onwards and by the end become a Dentist.

dude i feel you and gotcha thanks

Hell no am i working there when im in my mid 20's. Just no. I'm just here to get my money and quit asap. Dont give a fuck if they like me or not

Do what I did when I couldn't find a job at 18. Enlist

I cant do that

you need to find a balance. one way or another , you need to find a way to study. stop being a pussy and figure it out.

You should grow up and realize you got to work hard for what you want and that life is always fun or fair.

>user wants to be a dentist
Well, you have the suicidal part already, congratulations.

McManager reporting in before I have to open my store in a couple hours. Stick with it kid, and lose the shit attitude. McDonald's gives good benefits in the long run, college reimbursement, and college credits if you stick with it into their management classes. Hamburger U is also a good stepping stone if you want to put the long term time commitment for a 45-60k salary w/ little requirements. Waiting to go their myself right now in the next open class (closer to December or next year) and I just got an associates.

Also if you're gonna kys do it. If not, quit being a shit and toughen up, no one here is gonna pity you.

First of all happy Sup Forumsirthday user, and second don't give up bro it might seem like hell but just remember thare are prople far more fucked that you.

Hold out for dat paycheck bruh, it unocks perks that make the responsibility of work worth it.

Use this time to work on your interpersonal skills. Work hard enough that you don't get in trouble, but not so hard that they start expecting it. These fuckers don't give a shit about you, and if they could pay you any less they would.

If you think this work is shitty, use this as a stepping-stone to something better. You're probably going to have to work throughout most of your life. Get used to that fact, but use it as a motivation to "pick your poison".

If any job really sucks, leave. Just have something else lined up before you do.

if you're 18 start smoking it should help take the edge off a bit

not OP but that sounds like really good advice.

>I wanna kms
just do it.

McManager here again. Its true, if you have no intention of staying long term at least use the opportunities it provides. If you're gonna work as a dentist you're going to have to deal with people that are going to be coming in with nothing but hate and frustration to have their teeth worked on. You'll get customers that will belittle you or talk down to you, but consider that training to.

Managers will expect what you put out, but always expect more. Especially if they see you can pull more than your own weight. Don't take anything that happens personally, if and when you do quit the McDonald's won't likely care or remember you the turnover rate is to high to build much memory over whose come and gone. However, if you do decide to quit, make sure you give two weeks notice. If you just stop showing up or quit on the spot then that shit can affect you down the line if you use this as a reference. Failure to give two weeks in most any position will lose your shot at the job you want.

I second this. You could be stuck at McDonald's for the rest of your life like some people i know. (Btw also a McDonald's employee.) Honestly the job isn't that bad you just need to understand that shit sucks sometimes and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Don't let the job kill you, grow from it.

You guys get the new McCafe machines installed yet? Ours just arrived today.

Mine is a newer store, we have had them for awhile now. We we're just part of a test group for the new chicken tenders tho. They are bomb af.

I saw the notice for those, I'm not sure if we got them. I know they changed the bag color to red but, that could be anything. Are you guys doing non-frozen meats yet, if not have you heard anything down the pipelines from your managers on how their planning on handling that? I have a store the size of a postage stamp, I barely have enough space in the freezer for two days of meat let alone space in the fridge for all my meats too. Mind your our store is 20+ years old, with a 40+ year old frame / roof so take that as you will.

Follow this advice, if you're a drooling retard with no prospects in life.

On day 2 of my Mccysleaze training they had me shoveling those sad hunks they called 'Apple Pies' into their sleeves for four bucks and change per hour. I said fuck this, quit right there and walked out the door. Never looked back.

Now I make 225k a year, and just bought a summer home, fuck the McDonalds corporation in their jew asses.

Work hard and get those braces..... I applaud your industriousness

post pic of teeth

What a fuckin baby, It is called a job.

user demands OP cums in a patient's anything for them

I'm a third shift manager at McDonald's and the easiest fucking thing is doing third shift it's practically free hours

The number 1 thing that should be on your mind is to find a job that pays better. And when you find a job that pays better, you look for a job that pays even better. You never ever EVER stop looking for a better job. Better jobs ARE out there, you're just not even trying to find them. Chase that dollar until you retire. With this mentality you will never be broke again. This is the only 'secret'. Keep this attitude and I promise you will be walking around with a few grand in your pocket just as spending cash within a few years.

So we ordered a extra cooler at our store to hold thawed meat, and a rack similar to a bun rack that goes in the walk in cooler to let product thaw out. It's supposed to be one of those things you pull out on a daily basis to prep for the next day. We were just a test store for the tenders, and corperate keeps pushing back the date on them. We were supposed to start them on August 31st then September 2nd and now they are saying the end of this month but who the hell knows lol. And I feel your pain, my store is stupid small. They never planed are store to be very busy but we are located right off a major highway connecting 2 major cities, one city being known for a vacation spot. Weakened are hell because everyone is leaving town to get away. And our store is understaffed, like we only have 6 certified managers and 1 MIT.

this OP
give some lucky customer your cummies, they will probably notice that their bigmac sauce tastes different than usually and will probably give you a couple hundred dollar bills so you tell him what you guys changed in the recipe

>How am i gonna survive?

Cannabis.

I hear you on staffing. One of the supers is coming in on friday apparently to help work the floor. We currently have what, 6 managers and 20 staff? Not a bad idea @ cooler, all the same though its kinda a pain in the ass how they're changing it up on their end since older stores will get reamed hard on the change. You guys doing mobile orders or UberEats yet?

Kill yourself or become numb to it

Listen, you're going to have to learn to figure this shit out on your own.

We are advertising mobile ordering at our store! We say we have it but we technically don't yet. Again that should start at the end of this month. Also with the new cooler and rack the store is crowded as fuck... I'm a closer at my store and run the kitchen at night. It makes cleaning floors a pain in the ass with all the shit in the way and having to move stuff around. And are store is privately owned. Our owner owns 3 other locations and claims there are at Least 5 MIT at the other locations that are getting transferred to us after they get certified.

That should help @ more trained staff but, managers have a really high labor cost, and when scheduled technically count for two on the floor. I can't say if having more managers will help the situation. What is your crew size not counting managers? How bad does it get when theres as few people as possible outside of immediate open and close.

suck cock for a living.

>they need you more than than you need them
fast food workers are literally more replaceable than a lightbulb

Bullshit. Junior year is much more important. Think about it. When do you apply for colleges? They won't even see most of your senior grades.

daum the Mc'ds Whores loving it

Basically are store was a shit fest from the start. Half our management team walked out without even a 2 weeks notice, either they stopped showing up, walked out mid shift or took off on their break and never came back. Are crew is poorly trained and slow. We rely on a few consistent crew members to keep the store alive, and have had way too many delinquents as crew doing stupid shit and fucking things up for the rest of us. Today we had a bare minimum team right after lunch and we where pacing 600 from 1-2. We had 2 people up front a manager and our MIT, 2 people in grill, and a guy taking orders and money in backdrive. Pull didn't get done till after 7 when we normally do it around 2 or 3. Dishes were insane (the sinks were full.) Prep wasn't fully done till 5 and I had to help with it and dish since it's normally backdrives job at our store to do those and are back drive person is a lazy stoner. We had no burritos rolled for the morning and let's just say the pre shift for the closing shift was a fucking disaster... We survived but barely and the closers and opening crew are gona have there hands full. I know managers are expensive but our store needs them pretty bad. Also we need more reliable crew but people's availabilities are shit during the school year.

You can replace a light bulb with anything sure, but if there's no light bulbs to replace it with you're fucked in the dark.

I used to work at burger kings. It's a shit job. Did it for 3 months and then quit.

Could be worse. But whatever. money is money. Just don't stay stuck to that job forever. Move on and get better jobs. Keep looking and interviewing when you can.

well depending where you live it is Sept and all the major retailers are beginning to hire stay away from fast food its hell, try big Shoe stores or Clothing stores like Old Navy, fold clothes and put shit back, also check if Amazon opened up a fulfillment center near you they pay a bit above the minimum wage and pay every fucking Friday instead of every 2 weeks, try office work f it data entry just don't f up and be like me start downloading Sup Forums pics in the work computer and get fired for porn, that or try your luck in Crypto pick a coin that can Moon

this, i make 4 crack rocks/hour and do plenty of overtime
sometimes the overtime pays well, sometimes i get the shit beaten out of my skull but it's all good

If nothing else, at least in my stores case, we're seeing a shift in ethics for a lot of the younger crowd. I've got how many 15 / 16 even 14 year olds (asking for jobs but not old enough to work yet at 14) that are more solid that people that have been here for years, let alone the kind of people we had work in the past few. With any luck if its a generational trend you might get some solid staff. Time will tell man, best of luck.

McDonald's aint that bad, putting myself through school, bought a decent used car and got a Europe holiday with the gf booked later this year. Its a rough time sometimes but only 2 years of my degeee left and i can start Appling elsewhere.

fucking disaster I see this all the time I am a operations manager, say what you want about the Mexicans fuckers will knock out huge projects like that in lightning speed and you know what I doubled my office staff because of them, not saying that I do not staff americans in my labor force but they just do not cut it their too slow not motivated especially the blacks, we tried to hire them but we always caught them stealing, sleeping or near sexually harassing the girls at the office, white will not take the work, asians never see one apply, I cant slow down production f we are screwed and i am losing half my staff soon will hurt business this is why companies are leaving the country i get it now :( we are losing our Mexicans aaaa!

Thank you user! Best of luck at your store as well! I'm hoping to leave soon. I've been at my current location since we opened and have worked there for over 3 years. I really love my current management and crew and I try my best to get shit done and I know they appreciate it. Working at McDonalds has actually tought me a hell of a lot more than I though it would. Hopefully this new job I had an interview for goes throw tho so I can get out of that toxic environment. I wish the best for my store regardless, as for what op was talking about you just gota learn to deal with bull shit in life sometimes because 1. You will become a stronger person for dealing with it and learn the importance of working and earning things yourself (because McDonald's has completely payed for my college I owe nothing and I pay rent and other bills.) 2. The job is stressful learn to deal with it. Any job you have is going to have some level of stress or take something out of you. If you can't survive McDonald's how do you expect to make it anywhere else in life.

dude from experience once you been trough hell like that you can take anything the next gigs you get will be less painful since you already went trough the worst

Yesterday I went into a Burger King with a bottle of rum in my hand because I'm a pirate. YARRR!
