Mini Strat with trem... Fun factor is through the roof.
Ian Scott
book some paying live gigs. Also, did you you do your own recording? Sounds pretty good, you could offer your services for $$ as recording engineer.
Blake Sanders
>that came fast I don't post a thread until the bump limit has been hit. If someone wants to get one up earlier, that's fine by me.
Daniel Moore
How do I play solo's?
Jeremiah Moore
bump limit came fast
Brody Brown
pick the pentatonic scale on the song's key and play its notes up and down
Jackson Wright
I also want to have angry bee vibrato just like Kirk has.
Ian Myers
Not all shit posts either, lol.
Nicholas Murphy
Bumping, as it's a new thread
Caleb Turner
Kirk Cobain?
Eli Rogers
does that mean joining a wedding band/a big local rock band that has granted gigs on the clubs right i do the recordings. how can i charge for sticking a mic in front of a speaker closely
>like Kirk learn to vibrato, learn to do it fast and dont worry on making it sound nicer
Zachary Perry
Learn scales and accompany them with weird noises and tricks that you can do on guitar
Cooper Gray
>come up with a riff or a short progression >record it and play lead over it and never develop into an actual song
Kayden Ward
You should be a Prince impersonator, you look exactly like him dude
Nathaniel Flores
listen to the phrasing in other instruments and then apply that to guitar to get your mind out of a rut.
Listen to Jeff Baxter's playing on My Old School - it's almost as if he channeled jazz saxophone ideas through his guitar: youtube.com/watch?v=Sq8OU-7JDFA
Michael Torres
>come up with a actual song >Never develop as a guitarist
would the bridge pickup on this sound distinguibly like a tele
Bentley Edwards
whats funne
Carter Taylor
Maybe
Luis Robinson
50% , either it does or it doesnt
Camden Kelly
>3 pickups on a tele
Jeremiah Baker
>playing a strat live and looking nerdy and bland with it
Adrian Rivera
You'll still get the twang of a tele but slightly thicker tone because of its a humbucker. But those tv jones style isnt very hot, they're sort of airy sounding.
Kevin Nelson
are they like gretsch pickups, underwound etc
Jason Ward
youtube.com/watch?v=n3r9KWth84Y >spent 2.5 times the price of my first strat to get it painted like this guy's strat, plus new pickups and tremolo cause the grunge cover band was like going somewhere >guitar still sounded like a cheap basswood strat and the band did just like 2 gigs
Camden Edwards
>implying
William Harris
It finally came. My very own Jazzmaster
Too bad I'm going to cover up all that pretty mahogany with black paint.
Jaxson Myers
are you trolling or are you seriously concerned with "how cool you look onstage"? I find it hard to believe the latter but then again I've seen some real faggots on Sup Forums
Andrew Foster
Mytallica, my little pony cover band.
Josiah Williams
Do a multiple coats of black stain instead of paint
Robert Bailey
im only one of those but looking cool is a priority in my life
Benjamin Thompson
tha'ts what I'm doing, black stain with white grain filler. like this. The pores on this piece of wood seem pretty small though so it probably won't look that good.
Hunter Miller
Can I use medium gauge strings on a smaller acoustic guitar that ships with light gauge, without risking any damage? The guitar is an Ibanez AEG12II.
John Ward
Like going up and down e-minor pentatonic scale and then doind bend at the top.
Yes, you'll have to tighten the trust rod a bit though
Jason Walker
This is essentially what Kirk Hammet plays in every solo. And the bend is actually a giant vibrato played at maximum speed. Bzzzzz! Piuu! Bzzzzz!
Hudson Morales
what did you do at the a and e string
Christian Gonzalez
>what did you do at the a and e string the formatting went haywire when i pasted it. there's one space missing on each string. notepad shows it fine though.
I'm joking because I'm bored. I will record some solos and upload it somewhere at some point. We could arrange a competition of sorts. Competition for most stupid lick you can come up with, that is.
Nathan Hughes
What's this? Another duel?
Liam James
Not really a duel but maybe a fun way to collaborate and post some fun stuff I guess.
Which company makes a good Telecaster copy for $500 (used market) or under? Shecter?
Leo Campbell
fender
Kayden Robinson
condor ctx50 is great if you can find it. all traditional tele except for the bridge
Aiden Bailey
You can get a Fender for that
Ian Jackson
You can find legimate Fender Telecasters used for under $500 all the time dude
Hunter Campbell
Used G&L Tribute ASAT classic
Brandon Bell
It's an acquired taste Nah, Prince got more pussy than a toilet seat
Brandon Foster
>It's an acquired taste i never said it was a bad thing. :^)
Cooper Butler
> Mexican Tele
eww gross
Gavin Wilson
When learning the notes on the fret board up to the 12th fret, what would be a good way of going about it? I can be told "tell me the naturals on e" and say "F on 1st, G on 3rd" etc, but that feels like I'm reading off a list instead of really knowing the notes.
Blake Bell
pick random frets and tell which note it is
Dominic Long
Learn a string at a time.
Landon Price
what's the best way to record direct if you want to run through your pedalboard as well?
I've actually heard a bit about this. Would I need a preamp or something?
Aiden Price
I made free-time mockery. I have issues with playing in time but then again, I didn't use click track. I enjoy legato playing a lot but it tends to get very mushy and lose it's phrasing.
I love Pantera because how Coin-Purse Darrell mixed southern rock elements and shit like that but thing is that I don't like playing alone. Would need couple of friends to jam with in order to make any effort to stay in time. I lack patience for that.
Carter Nelson
My mascara runs :(
Jonathan Rogers
>it still looks like shit and is what beginners use spoken like a true pleb
better than standing out there with a jazzmaster like every "trendy" fuck at the pitchfork music festival
Dylan Adams
Play whatever you can find. It's much easier than it looks, I promise.
Luke Wood
I feel bad for anyone that likes to play surf rock because of all the hipster gaylords, that said the mark of a true faggot isn't what guitar they're using but how anal they are about what other people think of them
Luke Flores
I learned the major scale. Now how do I make it sound good while playing over chords? I play slow and it doesn't sound interesting at all, while everyone I see on youtube just goes doodlydoo and it sounds incredible, even when they aren't playing too fast.
Cooper Roberts
You need to combine different fret positions and split it into small different segments. You can play the same scale all over the fretboard instead of just from one place.
Lincoln Campbell
you answered it yourself, make it doodlydoo
Mason Carter
Response to you in a previous thread: >ok what you want me to play, or think i should play, if not blues inspired leads
I want you to stop playing because you suck and the things you play are boring as fuck.
your voice is pretty good but your style is bizarre. Sounds like something youd hear in a David Lynch movie.
Camden Walker
i dont hear these southern rock elements yeah having friends or a band is a good reason to put in effort to play in time, too bad you dont have
Gavin Collins
Anyone got a tutorial on how to come up with riffs from a chord?
Thomas Torres
Dude this is awesome, I'm telling you if you worked on your falsetto you could make good money as a Prince tribute act. Not even joking you've got the look too.
